I don't think it could be simpler than it currently is, and now that it's over a decade old a logo change would only make people very, very confused. Bitcoin's logo is just a letter with two stripes on it - why would we need a "rebranding"?

It's a currency. Not a product or a company. Therefore, we should just accept it the way it is. A fancier logo wouldn't help with the adoption in any way - in fact, it may actually hurt it the same way Bitcoin Cash's introduction made some very confused about which project is the legit one.
Why we cant just simply tell people that if they do saw a color green themed Bitcoin symbol is a total shit? For sure they would really be informed.  Cheesy

Looking at the poll results then it do shows that people does still prefer the original ones.It doesn't really need to be modified,  converted or altered
because it is good on what it is currently.

People had known already on whats the symbol and if there would be changes then that would really just add up into confusion.

Rebranding would be impossible and ultimately be detrimental. Cognizability of the bitcoin logo is widespread. trying to rebrand the logo is pointless.

What befalls the current logo?. Everything seems fine with it there's no compelling reason to supplant the logo with anything. Its been a decade and we all know how bitcoin's logo looks like.
I figure we ought not to think about its logo or its appearance it still unpredictable and non genuinely cash.
It's the same to a stock exchange however containing a lot of potentials, better to focus on your speculation, exchange rather than its logo, appearance

As I am a conservative person, I am against changing accustomed things. Currently, the bitcoin logo is known by most people since it has become a brand. Changing this can confuse people.

There is no problem with the bitcoin symbol BTC and making a logo is also not a problem . Since the beginning this symbol BTC has been used and been known by many. Others may redesign it but the bitcoin symbol on it like this BTC should be remain. I don't undersrand why do we have to change it. I mean, bitcoin will still be bitcoin whatever logo or symbol they should add into it. The essence of it being a king of cryptocurrency wouldnt change at all.

It should remain as it is. I think it is unnecessary to change the bitcoin's logo for it will surely result to confusion. Today's current logo is already a good one and people are used to it. But, if we are going to change it into a better one, it should be eye-catchy and represents bitcoin more than the old logo. Though, changing logo into a new one should be our least priority. We should focus more on other things aside from this.

For the poll results while the Bitcoin logo does not want to be changed, I think that is a form of enthusiasm for many people towards Bitcoin because they do not want the Bitcoin logo to be changed. I think it doesn't matter if the Bitcoin logo is changed for more adoption,

what do you think about logo re-branding, or Bitcoin need a symbol and does not need a logo, since it is a decentralized currency, not a brand?

It's completely unnecessary. No need for any re-brandings, it might just cause some confusion to the market.
Also if bitcoin logo will be changed, there could be other projects that will use this logo with the purpose of scamming people with their crypto projects.

The logo of bitcoin itself already has a huge name to crypto space, it's simple and it already tells what bitcoin is even at the first glance.

Funny how I'm only finding out now that Bitboy's design was recognized as the current logo. No offense to the tilted "BTC" with orange background but when I think of bitcoin, I think of the Satoshi's version

Sorry to whoever made the design proposed to replace Bitboy's version but it sucks hehe. Anyone can have their opinion but the letter B with two strokes is the recognized representation of bitcoin whether it's straight or titled.

The poll result is very clear. Nobody wants to have the logo and the symbol of Bitcoin changed. This forum may be small but I think the sentiment here at least regarding this topic could very well reflect the sentiment of everyone who already knew Bitcoin. After all, this is the very forum started by Satoshi, where the discussion of which symbol and logo be used for Bitcoin taken place and agreed.

And also, what is the purpose of changing the logo and symbol of Bitcoin. Would it help push Bitcoin adoption worldwide?

I don't think it really needs to be rebrand besides most forum users here who do love the classic logo and it past many storms already. 10 years without change? I think this will be the Twinings in the crypto sphere if it will last for more decades. Who knows?

i thought that there will be more discussion and different opinions, but since all the voters voted to leave the logo as it is, then i do not see the point of continuing the subject, 19/19 is voted that we are good with this logo, and i will lock the topic

Make it 20/20 since the poll has been locked, and also lock this topic up. There's not much to discuss here as everyone is quite satisfied with how Bitcoin looks like as symbol. Changing it won't give us benefits anyway, instead just like everyone said, It'll only create confusion to those who are new to cryptocurrency.
It's inevitable that someone might think a new Bitcoin logo is some new altcoin/shitcoin.
So yeah that's a wrap, lock this up.

Logos of famous companies change from time to time, with the core symbol remaining the same. But since Bitcoin is not a company, I think it should not be compared with them in this question. Rather, does the dollar symbol change? Or how would you feel about the symbol of EUR changing? So I agree that the symbol should remain the same. As for the background color and stuff, it doesn't really matter to me because it doesn't come up often. What could change is the logo used by the forum, and I would be fine with some sort of art contest on this matter. But Bitcoin itself is fine as it is: BTC.

I think bitcoin need logo re-branding that will still make more investors to have interest with bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized which they will still make the logo decentralized too in the world. And also make it stable and steady pump in the market.
Re-branding the logo won't do anything, won't attract more investors. Investors came not because of the logo that bitcoin has, but because of the technology and the ever greater change in value. Bitcoin also needs faster and wider adoption. The new logo will only change the history of bitcoin, the old logo has a history that cannot be replaced.

Stable pump in the market is not because of new logo or old logo, many factors influence it.

I don't think we need to change this logo, since it something historical and a well known symbol for all "aficionados".
plus we have seen some place add stickers and other promotional material, its a bit early decide to change all of it at this point. BTW I don't want spoiler the results of this poll, but it seems there is a strong consensus Grin Wink

Yeah, that is aficionados and also we can be called it "vintage" that it has a historical factor that we shouldn't replace.
The Bitcoin logo was fine and it's clear the true meaning of bitcoin. Even if you look in digital or hand draw it is always fine and I guess there's no need to rebrand the logo of bitcoin.

Unless, if you are the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Then, declared that you need to change the logo, that is fine.

The current BTC logo is already widespread and famous enough that most people will already know that it's Bitcoin's logo when they see that orange circle with the BTC. Changing it right now would most definitely just do damage on Bitcoin's logo. It's not like the orange circle logo is outdated or anything, it's actually timeless as it's pretty simple and straight-to-the-point.
yes, it's true that the bitcoin logo has always been there, I know bitcoin from 2016 and then there is already a bitcoin logo and generally everyone knows to see the   logo to bitcoin, to change the bitcoin logo I think this is a bad idea and not worth doing.
