It is no imperfection. It is a backdoor to the blockchain put there by the devs. If you can manage to get the fitting key, you can access the source code of the Zio-I mean bitcoin but I don't recommend this because you may screw the balance of the universe. Think about all the children that will starve because their parents can't reach their coins.

Luckily for you, neither you nor any of us have to worry about that because these keys are in the safe hands, the bitcoin devs.

I don't think it's a part that needs special attention from the community. If you've ever seen some very large printed bitcoin images on some object on the street where the imperfections of the logo are not visible at all, is that also using the raw logo that Bitboy did or designers even have their own perfect version?

Actually, this is not the first time I realized it, a few years ago someone pointed it out on this forum.

I can't believe; I guess the scratch is the with a purpose.
Thoughts?

Probably just the fact that the logo creator was like "whatever" and just ignored the minuscule imperfection. Who would've guessed that Bitcoin would gain so much popularity in such a short timespan in the first place. Don't forget that Bitcoin was such a small and niche network at those times.

Since it requires intense supervision to notice the mistake then it's not much a problem. People have been using the bitcoin logo without complaining, so the slight error is not enough to raise an alarm. Interesting how anything about bitcoin make it to the news blogs. Between I thought bitboy is same with the popular youtuber bitboy, but the article states otherwise.

I don't think there is any big deal in this case

I was just a logo, and we all sure as hell know how it was intended to be. I am not a professional graphics designing, but I did study some fine art and have some talent in art. Such "imperfections" happen at times  Wink

If there is an archive on bitboy's original logo on HD quality then we can check it if there is. Even the thread's archive[1] has low quality images. I'd only think this is a little bit graphic error from those who traced the logo to become HD or whatever you call it. But still good observation though.

I just have read an article on cointelegraph which claims bitcoin logo had an imperfection which was noticed 2/3 days back.
Check out this article- https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-logo-imperfection-found-on-original-artwork-after-12-years/amp
The logo created by forum member bitboy has created the logo. But someone noticed an unusual scratch on the logo. Haven't anyone noticed this earlier? I can't believe; I guess the scratch is the with a purpose.
Thoughts?
