I see too much confidence that ethereum will never surpass bitcoin. I would not be so sure about it. At least in terms of market capitalization the gap is not so great, because ethereum already owns a third of the capital that bitcoin has. That is why I think that when the crypto market matures and investors are not only guided by the popularity of a currency, but by their comparative advantages and the technical aspects, there will undoubtedly be a great revaluation of the ether to the detriment of btc.

ETH won't be beating bitcoin anytime soon. And a splitting already took place before and everything went fine. Bitcoin Cash could not over throw the legacy bitcoin, and I don't think any split will be able to do so. Another split is coming soon around November, though support for 2x is declining. Lets see what happens then.

I don't care about Ethereum , Bitcoin is going to rule the world like it has done till now. I know that it has been very productive during the time and it may cross Bitcoin for some time, but as time pass it has to be going down because Bitcoin is the oldest and the best strategic coin in the market .

I think that Bitcoin will be the number one for a long time. Just as an example from non-crypto life, most of the people have heard about Bitcoin, but they never heard about Ethereum or any other altcoin. In many places, you can pay with Bitcoins, but I didn't hear that somebody is accepting altcoins. Nowadays you can pay for goods and services with Bitcoins. In my opinion, Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies and will be a number one for a long time. That confirms the price of Bitcoins, that is raising all the time. That is the reason why I decided to buy small amounts of Bitcoins just to increase my portfolio over time. I am eager to see what will future bring.

I do not think that what the op think so. I do not think that there is any reason for which we can think that bitcoin is going to be number 2 or even degrate its value much more. i think bitcoin is still the number one choice fo the people and therefore we can expect that bitcoin will remain as number one for a long long time. Although there are some other potential altcoin but still they are too far from bitcoin and cannot compete with bitcoin so easily.

Ethereum is the crypto which removes the lmitations present in bitcoin. Bitcoin acts as a blockchain for a single decentralised application: a ledger whereas ethereum is a platform for decentralised applications of all kinds.
But Ethereum is a token not a currency used for smart contracts and decentralised applications. And also its price has suddenly risen up. It has to go down in the near future. So my thoughts are mixed on the topic.

I highly doubt about this, in my opinion only ethereum has the only potential to close the gap or even pass bitcoin, but with these many shitcoins emerging all based on ethereum has leave a dirty record for eth. It has became a starting point for scam tokens, and there are a lot of them, failing. It not will be too long until eth will be known as mother of shit-e-coins.

No, bitcoin will remain number one at least for the next 5 years or 10 years. Bitcoin has overcome a lot of fud and i don't think ethereum has the ability to surpass it in that time period. Bitcoin is the flagship of crypto and it's not an easy task to dethrone it.

As in the above quote bitcoin will continue to lead the entire digital currency network. Already it has faced lots of FUD and other panic situations that get into existence due to the market fluctuations that takes place with the varying circulation happening with Time.

I think that bitcoin will be number one for a very long time, and for qualified investors - forever.
For unqualified investors, cunning guys from governments and banks will eventually put in some kind of replacement, a shit coin, investing in it a lot of effort. But bitcoin will still remain the most reliable coin for knowledgeable people, although it will not always be the most expensive.

I don't think eth will take over sooner just look at btc recently china banned it but btc overcome, bounce back immidiately of course no one can predict what's exactly gonna, of course market is very volatile btc really is trusted from the start and for many years i think btc is still on top basee on it's past performance..

It can't stay number one forever. Bitcoin is technology, and technology has a tendency to be outdated thanks to all the innovation. It will enjoy its number one spot for a while, but somewhere down the road, something else will take its place. That doesn't mean bitcoin will die though, just that it will be number 2 or maybe lower. I believe we're talking decades here though.
