I came across several threads on the forums about bitcoin as their source of income, people leaving their day jobs just to focus on campaigns here in the forum.

Why most of the people in the forum sees bitcoin as currency that you need to spend everyday? On my opinion at this point of time for bitcoin it is better to consider it as an asset, an investment that if you keep it there is a big chance that your investment will grow. Think of its future potential, at this time each coin cost $5600+ when maybe about 100 million people who is using it. imagine what will the price be if 1 billion people uses it in the future how much will the price be? And this also applies to alt coins. As much as possible keep you coins and wait for the price to boom.

It always depends on how people will treat bitcoin. Some people were in this forum to earn for living. That is why they cannot hold bitcoin for long. And if everyone would hold bitcoin, how is it going to circulate? Yeah, maybe they misconceptualize the real use of bitcoin and how bitcoin must be handled, but it is always you who'll decide for your life. Let them do what they want.
Yeah it has the different kind of the people who are using the bitcoin and they are using the bitcoin for the different reason and for the different thinking some of them are using for the earning only while a lot of the people are using the bitcoin as the investment. Bitcoin has the different kind of the thinking and the way for the investment, so for me it will be better more and more if we will start promote the bitcoin on high level.

So its safe to say that it really depends on the individual, but I believed that in our forum its divided in between, 50:50. Most of us see it a currency to be used whatever they want or whenever they want it. We can used it for our gambling purposes or exchange it to fiat to buy thing or even used it to pay bills. While there are members here to think of it as an assets, bought bitcoin hodl on it for a long time as a investment. So there's no borderline definition. You used it as you see fit in your needs.

The rapid price increase of Bitcoin is one reason why people are holding their Bitcoins rather than spending them. Bitcoin will probably never catch on as a method of payment at least for every day purchases because people want to hoard it for profit.

The second reason people don’t want to spend it is that the fees are too high for small purchases. It’s not worth the cost of buying a cup of coffee if you have to pay a dollar in fees. Altcoins are going to have to be used as payment methods for smaller purchases.

Price of bitcoins are rising and thus people are thinking it will keep on rising forever. This may be right or wrong but one should trade only by knowing the right time and his/her capabilities.
Yeah no doubt the value and the importance of the bitcoin are increasing and the importance of the bitcoin, and the income of the bitcoin will be more than double. I am sure till the end of the year the value and the price of the bitcoin will increase more and more you will not be worry about the income and the price of the bitcoin so it is the best time to increase the profit by holding.

The most common misconception which is resisting so many people from investing in bitcoin is that it is never going to take place of paper money. This is something really hard to comment on. There are likely chances of this thing to happen and there are likely chances that soon bitcoin will be declared as legal. In fact, there are so many countries which have declared it as legal.

You cant blame them. Campaigns here in forum is so promising that they can earn more than their day job offers. And most of the people in the community are freelancers that seeks job and will spend what they are earning here to sustain daily needs and house utilities.
Most users here, including myself is the kind that you are talking about. Currently, I earn through joining signature campaigns and so far, it had been a very great help not just for me, but for my family. I think earning here through sig campaigns is not a misconception but a benefit of joining bitcoin. In my case I am a stay at home mom, and I used bitcoin as a way to pay for our bills and other household expenses. I agree. You can't blame us. Smiley
For all those people who just say false things related to bitcoin, I have one piece of advice for them. It is better to experience and do some research of your own instead of just blindly trusting everyone. This world is full of deceptions and it is the reason why we must consider using our own brains as a serious obligation.Participating in a signature campaign is one of the best methods of earning bitcoin and far better than all field jobs.

Well, this forum is the helping hand to some members but this doesn't mean that everyone is here to earn money ranging on signature campaigns.
This forum is know as one of the biggest cryptocurrency community, therefore newly launched projects get advertised over thousands.
In this case, if someone gets a spot in advertising bounty, i don't see anything bad doing so apart from your day job.

It is not true that MOST people are leaving their day jobs or permanent jobs to prioritize bitcoin. In fact, MOST members in this forum are considering bitcoin as the secondary source of income. Another thing, signature campaigns are not actually that hard to give that much time on it. As long as you are knowledgeable enough about bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and the things related to these, then this is an easy task to do along with your full-time/permanent job.

First and foremost, bitcoin is created to serve as a DIGITAL CURRENCY. And when we say CURRENCY, it shall be used to buy, sell, and pay products or services. Second, how could you consider bitcoin as an ASSET when in fact, its value now is way far higher than its price before. You can't and you should not miss the opportunity to use your bitcoins today in buying things especially that having a bitcoin today means that you have a lot of money too. And lastly, it is not actually safe to keep BITCOIN for now. The sudden BOOM in the price of bitcoin is probably caused by the incoming hard forking in bitcoin network. In that case, you can't always expect the price of bitcoin to grow in the course of time.

I personally think there is a long time until bitcoin is going to be used everyday to buy everything. It is very hard for local shops of coffe shops to accept bitcoin because the price is not stable. For the owner of a business the profit would be calculated at the end of the week/month. If the price of bitcoin is decreasing the profit is also descresing. Same when it is increasing. So it is a gamble for the owner.
I keep bitcoin as an investment for the future do I can make profit. I dont think I will ever spend my bitcoins to buy from shops in my town.
bitcoin basically invented as a peer to peer electronic cash system , clearly it is stated like that by the inventor satoshi nakamoto. yes a currency ! not a digital asset or something like that , so who's think it was a misconception now?

people nowadays just want to looking for a quick money making , they are materialistic indeed.

But bitcoin wasn't created for people to use it as an asset, it was developed for people to use it as a damn currency. People don't understand its ability, yes but assuming it as a asset is not the right thing to do. Bitcoin is to be known as a currency which can be used to make transactions world wide without banks involved.

Bitcoin is actually one of the greatest assets you can hold now and make millions from it in years to come though is going to take many years. Many people are living they current job because bitcoin give freedom and the economic system we are currently running is live slavery. I have make some money through bitcoin in fact over a million now in my local currency and I don't think I will need to be sufer myself looking for a white collar jobs.

i agree that investing in bitcoin is a good idea and you can make profit on it but i dont think you can earn million or it can make you a billionaire because most of old and pioneer members in the forum are still poor and most of them are still here and not yet wealthy or rich. and also i believe that real jobs are still better compared to bitcoin jobs when it comes to stability in terms of salary although you cant earn that much without overtime or extra sideline.

people considering bitcoin as their asset and as investment too but people need to buy something for their life and they can use bitcoin to exchange into fiat. i think they don't exchange all of their bitcoin but only small part of their bitcoin because today the price is $59xx and they don't have to exchange all amount. not all people who came into bitcoin have much of money, many of them trying to earn bitcoin from zero and if they can have their own bitcoin and exchange it into fiat to buy food, drink, or anything else, i am sure that will want to earn more bitcoin and use the most part of their bitcoin as an asset and investment.

Bitcoin users here have different outlooks of what bitcoin is. Some are thinking that bitcoin is a way out of poverty, some think that bitcoin is an asset, and some thinks that bitcoin is a currency that will rule the world in a few years time. For me, it doesn't matter, because bitcoin gives you all that is written above, and that is why Bitcoin is being accepted and used by many.

I think there is nothing wrong with it, for me everyone has the freedom to do with their money, and now they have assumed that bitcoin is a source of income for them, I think that is not wrong, this bitcoin has many benefits for anyone who has it. So I guess there's nothing wrong with the decision they've chosen, If you think bitcoin is an asset, that's also not wrong, that's your choice, and you're free with it. Because in the end you will use it as well and convert it to fiat money.

well not all people are thinking it as an everyday used. some are just waiting for the chance to earn a big amount of coin that can be kept and can be used for investment. I myself did that also, for this moment i am earning coins, and altcoins to be exchange in the near future when the value of its coins increases...I just waited for the right time when i can change all my coins  Grin Maybe that is a sort of investment!

Thats is true that holding bitcoin is wiser than spending it, and user knew it that it will pump in value in coming years. But the fact is, you cannot stop people from spending their Btc, they are probably encouraged to spend it because the good or service deserves a BTC payment. Bitcoin  use becomes really bigger, it can be in many form of payment. We cannot stop people from spending it, because there were attractive things being offered to them. Im still on the side of just holding it until it reaches the biggest value it has to offer.

there are various people to see bitcoin from different side so we cannot pushed them to trust bitcoin as the future asset which is holding them for several years will get very much profit and they have their own reasons why they decide to stay in bitcoin than their actual jobs but in my view people who decide to out from their actual jobs and focus for bitcoin i think these people was already feel the benefit from bitcoin and more likely their earning in bitcoin are more higher than their jobs
