Chipmixer makes a good job. Mixing is simple there, if not the site crashes just at the moment you mix. But support answers very fast and helps out. Just great. Was my first experience on a mixer.

Hello,

What is the best way to use a coin mixer? How shall I proceed to avoid most stupid mistakes? Is it working? Did you try it? In short, I don't know anything about the mixing services, and was looking for some recommendations... btw it's for 0.01 btc, is it possible, with the fees and co? thank you a lot for your sharing help.

Their are enough parties. But the only one I would trust my coins is Bitmixer. Some time ago they gave a user who transferred some bitcoin wrongly 6BTC bonus.
Which means they are 1. healthy and 2. trustworthy.
Yes bitmixer is most trustworthy and always a stable services to rely on any time. Due to their signature campaign I came to know their services and had a very good experience with them. Not only for higher volume mixing, we can go for them with small amount of coins also to ensure our anonymity.

That is a great observation.  I have read here and there that bitmixer.io runs a LARGE amount of BTC.  THat would likely mean that they are indeed healthy in that they probably make a nice profit.

I can vouch that they are trustworthy as well in resolving a smaller matter some time ago that was partly my fault (hence, follow instructions!).

Their service is good, and as far as I can tell it is not easy to trace BTC back through their service.  And I have tried (using blockchain.info's taint analysis tool).

If you wish to mix LARGE amounts of BTC, then break them up into smaller chunks, and use their features of sending to different addresses and using time delays.

blockchain.info's mixing services (SharedCoin) works most of the time, but I have had minor problems that I was able to work out in the end.  Having more than one mixing service is a good thing!

Using of Tor hidden services to mix bitcoins
http://bitcoinmix.wordpress.com

I did not click link due to computer I'm on.  But I personally don't trust mixers to begin with.   Add one that is on a tor site that you have no idea about where it's being hosted, or who's behind it.  Sounds like perfect storm to be scammed and know nothing about who did it.

I strongly suggest people think before mixing.  As eventually if you do use the BTC chances are it's tied to your name if you buy something physicall, digital might not be.   So depends on what you buy.  But if buying a physical item does not make a ton of sense to mix.... as you are buying something to be shipped to you in most cases.

Other option that you have is simply trade bitcoin for litecoin (or other altcoin) and after that exchange again to bitcoin. This will provide you a basic anonymity.

The best thing to do with mixers, is to avoid them altogether, there should be no need for an honest income to ever need this sort of obfuscation and it is a "cute" term for money laundering. If you must use them, just look around for big threads here, lots of good reviews and minimal scam reports.

yeah, you are right about nobody with honest income wants to hide his income.

but you are forgetting about privacy. a lot of the people who use mixers, use them to reach some level of privacy and anonymity. it is not necessarily with bad intents.

for example a person might not want any random person on the internet to know how much he owns bitcoin and where does he keep them.

besides, sometimes it is good to reach this level of privacy and anonymity because you might be targeted for phishing attacks and other sorts of hacking if it becomes known how much bitcoin you own and where you keep them.

I think privacy can be obtained by those wanting to store BTC in a stash and not want people to know about it.  I can understand people who want this as some don't want holdings to be known about.  And that is their right as it's really no ones else business in most cases. I personally.... don't think mixers are best for this I would mine it myself to an address.  You could not convince me to trust any mixer enough to send money and hope it comes back.  But some love them.

The big thing I see is if you ever want to use it you really lose the anonymous part of it.   If you exchange for good/service likely can be linked to you.  So I think if your end goal is to use it trying to hide it through mixers is kinda a waste of time even.

Young but I'm not that bold
I think the easiest and the most secure way to mix bitcoin is to deposit it to a well known exchange and withdraw it after some hours, then you will receive a new coins instead of the one you had. but it may be not perfect  as in mixing sites

There's a couple of ways to mix your coins.
Obviously, there are bitcoin mixing sites. bitmixer.io is the most known one, but there are others such as [banned mixer].

Another way of mixing your coins is to buy altcoins with the bitcoins you want to mix (preferably one that is stable), send it to another exchange, then exchange it back into bitcoin and sending them to where ever you want.

Yes, and by using this way of mixing with exchanges you should have more security.
Of course someday an anonymous mixing site owner will disappear with the coins.
If you use a known exchange you should be saver.

I prefer to use an altcoin exchange too.

Use some high-liquidity altcoins such as Litecoin or Dogecoin. The transaction fees are also small.

Where is my ring of blades...
pretty much everything you need to know about mixing and how to do it more efficiently is written in their FAQ section, no matter where you are doing your mix. but try to use some place that is old and trusted like bitmixer.io to avoid any scam or bitcoin loss. you can add extra fee, time between multiple out transaction,...

for an extra layer of anonymity you can always use a service like shapeshift to exchange your bitcoin to an altcoin and then back to bitcoin. you just have to pay extra fees.

I have no idea what a Bitcoin mixer is. Even though I have a Bitcoin mixer in my signature. You just mix your coins with other people's I guess.

Many people suggested Bitmixer.io and me too. Bitmixer.io is popular in this forum especially their signature campaign. So i think bitmixer.io is the best place for mixers. Bitmixer.io already 3/4 years on this forum. CMIIW.
