You made a great decision by investing money to become more financial better than in spending in it materials that won't bring much values. It is good to look good but it is more better to invest money as the first consideration in life. It is the best gift for Christmas you have giving to yourself.  If that you what you mean then I think that is a good move and having large holdings of Bitcoin could be a good investment now that the price is low and affordable. Accumulate it will give you more profits when the bull market finally comes with great liquidity.

But you know some forks like designer's jewellery and the Nikki shoes and the Gucci wears, these shits cost a lot and I can't risk having them while there will not be an increase in value, but with bitcoin.

Neither you nor your colleagues made a wrong decision. This is just simply a case of scale of preference. And that is fine too. I am sure they weren't buying the so-called expensive clothes or shoes to impress you neither did you buy Bitcoin to impress them.
