That steam is accepting is just super but now its only need to gain more popularity so it will be used a lot more.

I hope bitcoin will have some other great parties that start accepting it. It's very good for bitcoin's marketing and since there is no active marketing team, bitcoin needs the help of every marketing. Steam being a major party is what we need.

Surely with that we can see more online business shops accepting bitcoin since bitcoin market is wider globally and maybe some of them are looking unto bitcoins now and make some marketing studies that it will profitable and convenient for them if the adopt it, and surely future will be great and next year there will be another online shop adoption will be happen and many people use bitcoins in future.

I wouldn't say this was anticipated; it actually came as a surprise for us regular steam users. If you followed the reddit, you will realise that Gabe Newell, co-founder of Valve has pointed out he's issues on bitcoin. Here is what he said, "There are two related issues: one is treating a crypto-currency as another currency type that we support and the broader issue is monetary behaviors of game economies. The first issue is more about crypto-currencies stabilizing as mediums of account." As you can tell he wasn't really willing to accept bitcoin. So a month after this post it was quite a surprise to see bitcoin in the payment options.

The bitcoin on steam is very nice if you ask me and I think that the bitcoin has a good future with it.
Its not known by a lot of people right now but this will happen anytime soon.

You are right about that its still not used a lot but this will change, I now tried it once and its working pretty well and everything went also very fast in the overall experience I can really recommend it.

The time will learn us, its all a matter of time, the fact is that people from do not know what it is but it also will make people use the bitcoin because they are gonna be interested so this is a good step a head from steam itself.

Our local wallet exchange here in our country now also offering their service to use bitcoin in Steam. Also with MOL points and Garena Shells.

MOL and Garena shells doesn't have any fee but for Steam I think around $10 to $15 percent.

Its pretty nice that steam is now accepting the bitcoin and I already now did use it for one game.
Its a nice service they are offering and the payment transactions with the bitcoin is pretty fast.
Yeah its a good news for those who addicted play online games.. also here i my country which is our wallet too are offering to buy on steam bitcoin as payment also shells to garena and league of legends.. and i think adoption for bitcoin are increase year by year.. and i hope more store will accept bitcoin as payment..

Its very good news for these people plus the fact is also that because of this the bitcoin will also gain more popularity.
Every big company will help the bitcoin to gain more publicity if it steps into the bitcoin..
They are using their heads because if they use it in the game more gamers will try to use bitcoin and to attract more people to use bitcoin.. because players or game addicts are have a skills to understand the concept of bitcoin..
Now i already bought 100 shells in garena using bitcoins..

I just noticed that on Steam, I went to purchase something and as a payment option Bitcoin was there. I tried it and it is extremely easy and simple. How long has this been there?

Yea I’ve been using bitcoins as payment for a while now, it was announced in late April, about the same time I joined Steam. If you’re a steam user and you use bitcoins as your daily income, I recommend using bitcoins as payment; you will need an app on you pc to make the transaction and it should be done within 45minutes.

Bitcoin has been on Steam for quite a while. Have you check Microsoft? Microsoft accepts bitcoin now.
Yes big merchants have now started accepting bitcoin payments as you can microsoft have also started accepting bitcoin. You can also buy Dell laptops with bitcoin.

I also love playing games in steam and now i can purchase games with currency i love (bitcoin).

I now bought one game with the bitcoin and it was pretty easy indeed, its feels nice to pay steam games with the bitcoin although it feels a bit weird.

Yes, this obviously will be better for the company seeing as how its customers will be able to deal direct to the company so they'll be more secure (this eliminates the middleman who sells steam codes at higher prices, be limited in stock and who could very well scam) and it also means that people like me who doesn't deal via CreditCard can deal with Bitcoin which I can buy without the need of the latter through other non-conventional means Smiley - works here in the Philippines Cheesy
