Segwit is progressing more on the LTC rather than Bitcoin. This is all because of the decreased capital and the ease of mining compared to bitcoin. Litecoin is quite a good investment for users who require an profit in a short run, now price is low which might even get doubled soon after day of activation.

Interesting. Can you describe how mining LTC is easier than mining BTC?

LTC first for sure, unless we see some big plays by those against it.. though it seems they are already playing it...just going by the LTC segwit % going down soon after it crosses the 70% mark....in the last couple of days or so.

I neither hold or mine LTC, but i'd love to see segwit activated soon and gives this segwit thing a rest...hates it when politics starts.

LTC is likely to climb higher, it is seen from the market demand, mining, and use of LTC. after segwit entered into LTC, some cloud mining reliable start updating prices and mining hardware for LTC. LTC is also proving to be in the clouds together with eth in exchange, possibly several weeks ahead LTC will have a price of 14 $.

And the SegWit block vote back to the 30% signalling.
This so sad.

it's gonna be a rocket up bitcoin's ass. when people see that the world didn't end but in fact opened up, just maybe that'll inspire more miners to signal. if it doesn't then fuck all of them because the cool stuff will happen on litecoin instead.

only for profit and follow eth and dash, I think there is a game prices in some markets, saturation in trading cryptoccurency make some people play the price for LTC. if LTC compared with ETH, LTC already look outdated in technology and roadmap. LTC market probably will rise to the price of 12 $ in 2 months, and will burn out again, after 2 months I believe in some ICO will kick back the price of LTC to 4 $ , must be careful in the world of trading. not only that news BTU  impact on the migration USD from btc to ethereum, dash and LTC,perhaps after the BTU will be newer markets and the difficult search for profit.

Litecoin prices surged nearly 70% yesterday, ending months of stagnant market activity. According to the data, most of the trading has taken place on Poloniex, OKCoin and Huobi. As of today, Litecoin 24 hour volume is greater than Ethereum by nearly 20%.
That's a simple pump from bitcoin traders. I don't think if the SegWit adoption will give a lot for the litecoin itself.

Some say this is due to the efforts to integrate segregated witness (segwit) with Litecoin. Others say that traders are simply chasing possible gains in the altcoin markets.
No, a lot of the bitcoin traders are tired of seeing a lot of the politics wars on the bitcoin ecosystem right now.
The blocksize debate just gives a noisy sound. Massive migration by the bitcoin traders on a lot of kind of altcoins.

What is your opinion on this? Do you think both Bitcoin and Litecoin will get segwit integration? How will this affect their prices? Which one will get segwit integration first: Bitcoin or Litecoin?
Litecoin will the first SegWit adoption. It will not give a lot of the impact for the litecoin price.
This just a short term pump.

I can see Litecoin pumping hard if SegWit is activated, since SegWit activation for Bitcoin is next to impossible, and Litecoin seems like the nearest Bitcoin alternative to enjoy the benefits of SegWit.

It's only around 20% tho.
Litecoin segwit activation will most likely be first, but I wouldn't be sure that Bitcoin segwit is impossible.
All they need is one event that discredits BU even more and it's possible we'd see an uprise in segwit signaling.
No doubt, But for the SegWit activation and syscoin is the first coin was implemented the SegWit activation.

Looks like more vote on the Bitcoin SegWit or it just April fools from the voters(BU shills).
but the threshold of the bitcoin SegWit activation makes it looks impossible to get activate in the future.
And the SegWit block vote back to the 30% signalling.

litecoin already activated segwit as far as i know, but i'm wonderign again if they really need to, do they had the limit block problem like bitcoin? wasn't their limit much higher already? perhaps they just want to test segwit?

Litecoin will get SegWit.

Bitcoin never will.

And this is good for Bitcoin (and Litecoin).

bitcoin is getting segwit too, just some competition with BU that is strong to die

BTC to the moon is inevitable...
Definitely Litecoin, I don't think they'll have any problems reaching that 70% thresshold for segwit activation.
They're up at around 22% now Smiley

http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php

22%? it says 58% but maybe that is different %?

what you quoted and are surprised about is from 31/3/2017 not today. and the rise happened in the the last 24-30 hours only.

to answer OP i believe SegWit will be activated on litecoin long before it activates on bitcoin if at all. because pools like F2Pool are on both coins and they will try it on litecoin first before moving to bitcoin and that will clear many doubts for sure.

and as for price i say it will go much higher in case we pass the 70% and start closing in on the target (75%). you can easily expect 0.05BTC price = ~$50

Firstly Bitcoin community must be consensus on SegWit. Bitcoin communities very divided such as core, segwit, bu, xt.
This negative condition for btc.

There's also rumors that litecoin may get featured for sale on coinbase prior to the segwit release and this will only add to the buying pressure as signalling increases for seg.

Litecoin has no SegWit alternative BIPs. SegWit will be activated much faster for Litecoin than Bitcoin (should Bitcoin's ever be activated at all).

not this has nothing to do with SegWit on litecoin because it has been around for a long time and it is not yet activated and there has been no change.
this is only an overdue pump that happened in litecoin, yesterday i thought it was Chinese doing some catching up but apparently i was wrong.

and i believe SegWit will be activated in litecoin first since miners such as F2Pool are mining both of them and they will test it on LTC first and when they do that litecoin won't just go up 70% it will at least go up 1000%
