All the alts that are being pumped now have a very low market cap and are exchanged in extremely low volumes. Anyone can be a dogecoin whale if they want to (ok you might have to empty your bank account but still, if you want to, you can). If a bitcoin whale jumped to dogecoin that's not a 130% increase in price that you'd see there. You'd have to add some more zeros. A lot more zeros.
Lots of altcoins is being pumped now. So ppl speculate that some whales decided to dump some bitcoin, and jump on altocin pump train now.
I am watching right now the Preev price tracker and the price literally jumps up and down in $8 increments every minute or so lol.

Since Mike Hearn's blog post and bitcoin's fall to 2351 RMB, it has gone up on the whole. And it's still going up on the whole. Slightly.
Perhaps this is still related to the "Hearn news" - or maybe some whale trying to take advantage of it to buy cheaper coins?

Hmm, I think you have to edit the Subject in the opening post, for it to actually affect the thread itself (and not just edit the Subject in one of your other posts).
Why is the price falling at current???
Perhaps this is still related to the "Hearn news" - or maybe some whale trying to take advantage of it to buy cheaper coins? Or it could somehow be related to the poor performance of the stock markets. I guess we can only speculate about it at this point.
Either way, I'm not very concerned about it; I imagine it will go up again eventually - maybe tomorrow, maybe in a couple of years.

Price goes up and down, just part of the game =) I think people are cashing out to pay bills after the holidays. But there are many factors.
I came here wondering the same thing. i took a nap and the price dropped $15.

Damn i was lucky to get at $392 yesterday in fiat. The price drops when too many converts of btc to $ have done.
