Nobody indeed can guarantee the price will sky rocket. Even with the halvings. Suppose the price did not go up, less miners would decrease the difficulty and thus find a new floor for mining to mine the amount of coins to make profit.
thats true anything might happen to the price to be honest, thats why bitcoin is so interesting for me because it is so unpredictable, though i hope that the price is going to go up

in my opinion halving should push the price significantly up in this way making me some good profit, i mean most of the people will be buying their bitcoins in order to make money

People have engaged themselves in buying bitcoin at a moment and that is the reason price touched $700 once again yesterday but it fell back today but we can expect higher price in coming days.

bitcoin price has been going up for a while. and I don't see any reason why it should stop or go in any other direction for the near future.

there always will be some decline, when people cash out for profit after a rise or because of some dumping but it will be temporary and short.

this rise will go on especially because the halving is near and the real effect of halving will be felt after it has happened. also there is a lot of good news all around about bitcoin. mostly caused by brexit where major news media are talking about bitcoin in a positive way.

Right, it has been considered as a safe haven currency against all the fiats available, which is a big achievement for bitcoins.
So, I would say that bitcoins will probably be the best performing currencies of all time these days, it will only go up and up.

Seems like we have a new pump going on! As the halving is becoming nearer and nearer it is possible to see the price going sky high.

it's not really a pump right now. as soon as the price hits $700 today, then it can be seen as some sort of a pump. we've seen the price go up $20-$40 before and then it went down again. let's give it some time to see where this goes.

users here are so fast to jump to a conclusion here. with a small rise they call moon and with a tiny dip they call familiar and $200 lol

right now it seems like a rise is shaping up but i think it is a little too soon to call it "moon"
bitcoin price has continued increasing upwards rising by over 44% , sooner it will reach its peak price making handsome profits to users.

I think it will take at least 6 to 12 months for the price to be over $1200 again. The price will not rise too fast.

But in the next month is halving and with the effect of halving the price of bitcoin  will reach to $1200 in the next month or if not reached there in the next month then it will be there in the coming two or three months.

The block halving will take place this month. To be more precise; It will happen within 7 days! I think it's a better idea to first see if the price gets back to $1000 again before speculating about $1200 prices. At this point we still have to touch $800 for the third time ever.

Yup and we can cannot expect $1200 price from halving as its difficult to achieve in next one week, maximum we may see the price of $800 at halving.
Well, I would have to say that $1200 is certainly possible--obviously you saw how we jumped from $430 to $780 in a matter of a month or so, right?  Or was it quicker than that?  I don't have a chart in front of me.  But it was fucking fast.  Having said that, I'm somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to bitcoin, and we might not get there.  What we might be seeing right now is people buying in anticipation of the halving.  But I suppose there's no difference, is there.

The price going up and down is normal. Now we have had our first real correction, it's time to see where is this going.
Either it will go back to 770 dollar or we will find another correction coming our way bringing the price back to 550ish. Which would still be very good for miners to keep their mining operation going on.

Majority of users will be disappointed to see the price of $550 as everyone is hoping to see higher price in coming years, it will be good if price falls to $600 and remains stable.
The majority of the users seem to acting like kids sometimes.
Bitcoin to 10k, 100k and even 200k.
The price of bitcoin has been growing (good) but when making prediction it should be realistic. Now the price is going up again 702 at the moment, the only thin we can do is be patient.

The price had crossed the $700 barrier in the Chinese exchanges and around $697 in bitfinex, coinbase and the others, seems promising for the halving  Wink

other exchanges also touched the $700 price level just now. it gives a good feeling seeing the price go up. maybe there is a surprise for us before the halving. i am already happy with the price reaching the $800 level as top price.
I think everyone is waiting bitcoin prices rose to $ 800, but I guess it will happen after two months from today. bitcoin price is now almost rose to $ 700, and if my prediction is correct, then the bitcoin will reach $ 700 in the next week

I don't think that $800 will take 2 months time, if price keep on moving up before halving then we may touch that price at the time of halving, I will sell my coins when it reaches there.

of course halving will push the price significantly up, in my opinion after the halving 1200 price will be really small for sure, price will go up even more up i think

bitcoin price is going up right now slowly but surely, because of that all the people who are holding their bitcoins can make a lot of money in the future so they invest even more
There's no assurance that the event will really make the price of bitcoin soar because what we see is just a manipulation on the value. But I am sure that we will see a good increase in the price every year that we pass because a quick adoption on bitcoin is happening. See those merchants making bitcoin as a new way of payment? That's what I'm talking about!

you are right. maybe this time we can not expect halving make bitcoin price to $ 1200, and probably bitcoin price will increase to $ 800 in a long time, because the current bitcoin prices rise slowly. but if many companies that accept bitcoin as paypal, there is the possibility of bitcoin prices higher again

Price will be much higher in future, but if we talk about halving then I think anything around $800 is possible to achieve as price is moving up now.
