It is absolutely true that the price of bitcoin will increase to $3500 in this year because now the price of bitcoin once again started to increase and we all know that when the price start to increase then it take no time to reach the highest levels so within a few months I am sure that it will reach to the level of $3000 and will then forward to $3500.

It is not true yet since bitcoin have not hit that price but the possibility to reach $3500 is big due to the hype brought by Japan friendly gesture to bitcoin and large company that wants to participate in bitcoin economy. Aside from that Australia just announced their view on bitcoin that they will accept it as money this July. Definitely this will increase bitcoin price.
I think we could see those prices in the coming weeks actually. It might kiss 3k before correcting but it'll probably hover around 2 to 3k before the end of the year.
I'm sorry dude but I don't agree with you. To touch $3000 I think we need to solved the issue on the scaling problem. Transaction fees are going up to the roof as well making people to not choose bitcoin as mode of bitcoin. With that said, I highly doubt that $3000 this year is possible.

I don't see it going more than $2600 even if it goes higher, because it has already consolidated a lot and the reasons are currently not much strong for the price to reach at these given numbers, and the first and foremost thing that is needed is stability in price, because if dumps take place then again investors would get out and we will need to wait few more years before we see such spikes back.

Not very imo, I'd love to be proved wrong. $3500 per bitcoin would be amazing but I can't see it for a couple of years.

That price seems unlikely, but I also didn't expect the price to rise to $1900 this year either. I also expected a bigger correction in price which we could still have.
There are lot of positive things are happening around bitcoin ecosystem, I do believe bitcoin will be having prices like $5000 by end of this year.

We can speak all the day about how big bitcoin is and how the price will reach new all time highs in the next few weeks or, we can speak about the same thing while giving solid and valid arguments.
But speculating about the future is more important as it will be helping traders to have some over all idea. Our speculations may come into true when more traders agree. We do speculate based on some expectation (like SEC will approve ETF), when it will happen traders move forward to push the prices. Sadly vice versa also true.
It's hard to predict the future. But in my opinion, it is not impossible to hit that price in cryptocurrency. As I always say cryptocurrency or bitcoin is accelerating. It maybe rise, crash, rise, crash, rise, and chrash again. It depends. But who knows it come true. If its happen it will be great as well.

It cannot reached that price cause it so very high and bitcoin only have 6 months to reached that 3500$ before 2018 which is impossible right now. Bitcoin spend years to reached the current price today ,and going to 3500$ price this year is only a dream that will never come true.for me, it is not impossible to reach it, imagine how much is the price increased from the start of the year and it is only the 5th month of the year so why impossible to reach $3,500? tho it may look that it is still far, we can't really say it is impossible
i don't think price rising quickly is good for bitcoin, maybe next block halve will reach 3500$

But maybe the price would surpass to that predicted since as of now many people can't imagine how thing would go for bitcoins right now and currently it reach to its strong point where people,holders or shall we say everyone already earns a lot from this thing. and better we just monitor and see if price would really cross for that.
Actually, There are some indicators so that we can predict bitcoin price as well as he speculation above. Bitcoin is now making name around the world because it is use as payment for all cyber crime like ransomware.
We recently here the news about this ransomware virus that encrypts file and ask for btc ransom in able to decrypt it again, And yesterday, A big news that extortion disney for the pirates of the carribean movie to be leaked once they didn't pay for bitcoin. Even though it is used in negative things, It is still advertised around the world.

with bitcoin anything is possible, specially these days with all the good news about it. but i still think we are not completely ready for such a big rise. the orderbooks on exchanges are still not that filled, and there are a lot of panic sellers who are waiting for some imaginary targets to get out because they thing that target is the end. like what they thought about $1000 target.
There is a huge possibility that bitcoin will likely hit $3500 this year. Though we cannot say it is 100% true since it is still in possibility. With the exponential adoption of Bitcoin and more country recognizing BTC, Bitcoin will be able to reach such amount this year.

In theory. If btc were to double the price, we would need a lot more people using it. Something like4x more people using it on a weekly basis. Fees are discouraging people from doing this. Volatility causes normal people to tune out also.
Maybe if stable a bit longer of a period like a few months and good news and we get 20% higher price.

It's like saying 'price likely to hit $1,500 this year, back when the price is struggling to passed the $1,000 price or even $800 price but now look at the current price. The question is answerable by maybe yes, maybe no but the main point is, it has a chance.
For $3,500, it's not a matter if it's true or not since that's why it called speculation in the first place. If it will don't hit then it's fine as long as the price is sitting at our considered high price.
