I wonder which mathematical method did he use to compute and say that Bitcoin would worth a million in the year 2020.
McAfee has been in the industry and kept on telling that bitcoin will rise after 3 years after the first rise of it in the 20,000 USD value. Now, the three years he is telling is getting nearer and nearer. If we could just use the formula he is pertaining for, then we will be able to see if he has his point and if his predictions really make sense. If he wants to be believed then he should also share his formula or thoughts about why would bitcoin rise in the year of 2020.

The sad thing about this is that his popularity will return. Every day there will be a new fanboy or fangirl,,, every day they will fall in love with the idea of 1 million dollar BTC, and every day people will forget a little more about his dark sides and unsavory characters.
I'm not sure if popularity is the right term to use, especially with how more and more people start to dislike him for who he is, even outside the world of crypto.
The thing that makes him interesting is how millions and millions of people like to read and talk about bad boys, because that's interesting. That's directly the main reason for CSW to keep suing people, threaten exchanges to initiate double spend attacks, dump BTC down to $1000, etc. Most people don't like CSW, but they still want to know what he is up to, and news outlets happily tap into that demand and release all sorts of rubbish articles.
For them bad publicity is good publicity because it introduces them to a much larger audience.

The prediction might be off but certainly in the future bitcoin price may come close to this. No one predicted that the price of bitcoin will hit its ATH back in 2017. Let's just be optimistic that something good will occur again in the near future.

I did some research the last days on circulating supply. I found that Bitcoins true circulating supply is between 9-13.5 million, not 17.6 Million (depending on whether you count coins like Winklewii's, etc., that has stated that they never will sell). That means that the cryptomarket cap, as counted on CMC, is much lower than reported, and it also means that Bitcoin dominance is between 25 and 38%, not 51%.
So the valuation of every coin should be much higher.

This is pure advertisement. They just want their name to be in the trend just so their product could be sold. It is a move a company who doesnt have a good market anymore.
Create a scandal, be on the trend and so and forth in social media, just so they will try to search you and might have a chance that your company will be searched too.

Does anybody tell him to speculate bitcoin price, he has been doing it intentionally to gain some attention. Anyway, nothing spectacular has happened or would happen in near future so that the price of bitcoin would hit $1 million in 2020.

Funny how he run his algortihm again and predict price on 2020 and multiplied the result by 2. Such a very credible source of information. Anyway, I would not take McAfee announcement seriously. He now looks like a clown after all after those altcoin promotions that make lots of people to lose money.

there was never any algorithms or math or anything like that. it is just McAfee seeing the start of bull market where prices are rising so he wants to repeat all his 2017 shenanigans to make millions this time by advertising and pump and dumping shitcoins while gaining popularity by making hyped up "bitcoin" predictions which then will be advertised on bitcoin forums!!!
not to mention that anybody who has analyzed bitcoin charts once knows that there is no "algorithm" that can predict bitcoin like this.

There is no way Bitcoin would have hit that level in 2020 even if we never experienced the recent bearish market. He probably had other unknown reasons for making that prediction.

It's not new, lot of people's lost their money due to FakeAfee predictions. Still that guys giving that kind of predictions. Sometimes we have seen him to promote some coins and ICO's as well. Most likely he is paid shiller. Whoever pay me just support them. Personally I don't trust on his predictions and I don't want to lose my fund due to stupid predictions. Let him just predict, bitcoin will walk own way. Just expecting bear mode should be off now. It's too long time bitcoin is sleeping.

Hey if anyone buys bitcoins based on his tweets then he’s really foolish, while I like his optimism to see growth in bitcoins the target he’s given is impossible to achieve. I also remember reading his tweet where he says he claims to knows the identity of satoshi, here again he’s misleading people and lying openly. I don’t understand what gains does he get by making such absurd statements.

John McAfee shouldn't be used as a credible source. My opinion is that the halving isn't priced in yet and we might break ATH in 2020 but we're a long way from reaching $1M.

That's seems to be fun to watch out, if things won't come accordingly this national television thing will surely shock most of those who didn't know about it, while if his assessment was right that will shock everyone here who's still holding and keeps on buying to be ready on the next halving year.
He really loves that attention, lol. We all know that realistically bitcoin can't hit $1 million in 2020. The economics that time won't allow it. We really needs billions of billions of dollars in the market that will push the market cap and obviously the price. And I don't think that he really meant eating his manhood in national tv, it's just him hyping because he has a lot of investments in bitcoin.
