A new decentralized monetary system is created by a known software company that will outmatch bitcoin in general quality. 99,9% of funds flow from bitcoin to this new coin.

This is the only thing I am quite sure of

Hard to predict when will it happen though.

True, hodling still tricking search engines outside our cluster ( search engines are clever but not clever enough to break into all human language nuances ) they need break a threshold ( google got about 86,300 results, index)

One major startup failure, I am going with CoinBase
Exponential difficulty creates massive destruction of mining base, at least one proven attempt at 51% attack as desperately leveraged mining groups cheat to compete.
Half of mining consortiums collapse as Bitcoin supply overwhelms demand as mainstream adoption not quite ready and bills have to be paid in fiat
Price crash to <$50 in September before ending year on a rebound to $225

In 2015:

Disasters of 2014 force 51% code fix immediately adopted by all miners
Bitcoin also reverts to code defensive against ASIC and GPU, Intel stock sores on the news
Bitcoin established as reserve currency for the Republic of Congo
Federal Reserve releases digital currency to compete with Bitcoin, one FedCoin is pegged to the value of a US Postage Stamp
Bitcoin ends year at $3k
