I have some bitcoins and found a secure way to keep them. What do I do with them now?
It's better for you to hold them, because bitcoin price increase over the years, so you can get a high profit if you can hold a lot of bitcoin now for the future.
Personally, I store my bitcoin in my XAPO wallet, it's secure a lot. but the only problem is the fees are too high.
In the spirit of HODL, won't hurt to deposit some into your Poloniex lending account and keep collecting some interest while the moon expedition is on. One good thing is that you can end and pull out your funds without much ado when you want to and worse situation here is if Poloniex goes the way of other exchanges like Mt.Gox, Cryptsy etc, other than that, it is a win-win situation, especially if one is not too greedy.

If you can acquire more bitcoins by purchasing or earning online then I would advise you to spend some of your bitcoins because it will strengthen the network and contribute to the growth. Yes, down the road price of bitcoin will rise but it's not going to happen if everyone out there is holding each and every Satoshi they acquire. You can spend some of your holdings and then acquire more bitcoins, this will keep the momentum alive and it will pay you in the future, imo.

If you want hold your Bitcoin, you can find a cold storage for hold it and wait Bitcoin price hit a price you thing is highest. I think this is a best choice if you want become to a holder, but if you not like this, you can sell now to real money Wink

Remember that bitcoin is just money. So you are really asking "What do I do with money?"

well... Spend, save, invest, donate, ...  Whatever you want to do. Bitcoin is actually your money and you can spend it around the world. No one can keep you from spending it or compel you to spend.

I have some bitcoins and found a secure way to keep them. What do I do with them now?

Please store it in a hardware wallet, then try to store your private key, this will keep your money safe forever. No one can steal it. Even 10 or 20 years, it is still yours. It seems like many people want to store bitcoin for the future, it can make a profit, but I prefer to use it to make more quick profits.

to my knowledge hardware wallets are very similar to USB disks and because of that they are subjected to same flaws. flaws such as loss of data because of not being connected to a power source.

in other words if you store your bitcoin on a hardware wallet and keep it 10 or 20 years without connecting that wallet to your USB port at least once a month you may lose all your money!
He needs to write private key down anyway. Well actually private key is more important then the hard wallet. Hard wallet only lets you send bitcoin to other addresses.
Anyway, if this thing would really happen (hard wallet lost data), you can probably just rewrite private key and everything should work fine. Right?

-HODL.

-Buy at merchants such as Steam and Overstock, or buy items indirectly through third parties like Purse.

-Transfer into gift cards with services like Gyft.

-HODL.

I'd steer clear of Gyft or Egifter. lost money using both services. Egifter won't even answer my messages. I feel like I was ripped off.

If you some bitcoin adn you found wallet safe to keep them. I suggest to you to hold your bitcoin because  the price is continue increasing. And many people for sure in the future will invest in bitcoin so the price will become brighter and brighter. Its better if you hold your bitcoin in few years like 5 years for sure your money become 5 times and up. But it depedns on the demand of the market if the price pump or dump.

It is better to keep them and earn a lot of bitcoin today. It is good that you found a secure way to keep them which is good for you, and I also have my bitcoin wallet that I already trust so I am really expecting that my bitcoin wallet will also secure my income.

I guess the OP wants some suggestions on what he can do with his Bitcoins.
To OP: it depends on what is your financial status as well as how many bitcoins you have. If you're in some crisis then it's best to sell some Bitcoins and solve them otherwise hold them for eternity.

I think he's referring to just save and hold his bitcoin, well even if he's not referring to OP I think it still give credits to him, and just like you said that it is depend on the situation on your financial status if your going to sell or buy bitcoin, but my opinion is to just hold on to your bitcoin, because the price will definitely gonna rise anytime soon.

I think in my own opinion try to buy some altcoin choose altcoin in top 20 rankings in coinmarketcap.com
Where you can have a chance to get more profit in other altcoin if the price of bitcoin increases you can gain more profit with the altcoins.
Like ethereum, litecoin and monero. but you can be still stay holding bitcoin because the price is increasing and i think the price of bitcoin can be increase more soon..

Hold them.
If you don't have necessary requirement don't do any thing. just hold them. bitcoin is  future currency. your coins can worth too much in the future.
Since you are a newbie member probably you don't know bitcoin well. Try to achieve knowledge about bitcoin. Then you yourself will know what you should do with your bitcoins.

The thing that worked the best for me is the 80/20 strategy. You hoard 80% and spend 20% ..... We need to support the services and merchants

that accept Bitcoin { this is why you would be spending 20% } We also need to hoard some bitcoins as a speculative asset. The more bitcoins that

are being hoarded, will increase the price. {less supply & higher demand = higher price}  Grin

Depends. If you bought those coins as form of investment, i would suggest you to keep holding them. Sell it when you thinks it's the right time to do so.
Or if you bought them for casual day to day use, just use them as you would with  a fiat currency. Buy things online and pay using bitcoin.
You can also buy other alt coins using your bitcoin if you want.
