Just buy the necessary things that you require.
Use giftcards / purse.io to buy from amazon.
Buy video games from steam.
Buy goods directly from people on forum.
Alternatively you can use virtual bitcoin debit cards to spend your bitcoins wherever visa is accepted !

I have some bitcoins and found a secure way to keep them. What do I do with them now?
In 21st century, I can't believe someone can still ask this kind of question about bitcoin after he was able to buy at the time when the price of bitcoin is much lower and still found his way to this forum and still font know what to do with bitcoin, I definitely doubt that.

You can do almost anything you want. Read few of the articles below to find out where you can spend them..

whats your plan for bitcoin? did you buy them just to be be able to spend them? i hightly doubt that youd go through the whole conversion process just to spend them on something else. don't be like me and sell them for a small profit, if you decide to hold them. there are lot of problems with confirmation times and transactions times at the moment, so try not to use them for any small purchases, or the fee-to-transaction ratio is gonna be tremendous. honestly, i would just hold them and see where it goes from there. the price, regardless of all the bs going on at the moment, should continue to rise, as it is the gold standard of cryptocurrencies.

-HODL.

-Buy at merchants such as Steam and Overstock, or buy items indirectly through third parties like Purse.

-Transfer into gift cards with services like Gyft.

-HODL.

Agree w/ Qartada.  "HODL" is a great speculation!  Majestic ups & downs, lotsa fun...

But, if you want to spend BTC yet buy something with long-term value, buy gold with BTC!  But, take note that lately BTC has far outperformed gold.

Last I looked, the below two metals sellers accept BTC:

providentmetals.com

jmbullion.com

(perhaps USA only)

It is your bitcoin you can surely do a lot of things with it, but I think you need to spend it wisely just like money you can never know when an emergency might occur and you will really need something at hand, so I guess spend it on the needed ones for your family and your house and just save the rest of it for a very important matter.

Depends how many you have.  You have got in at a perfect time because the price is really beat down. I bet it doubles in the next 6 months so I would hold.

It is not a good idea to spend them right now If you are just going to use them for small purchase because of high fees and high confirmation time. So the best move right now is to HODL your bitcoins and wait for the time when segwit or if other scaling solution is activated. If it happens, the price will soar and you can easily spend your bitcoin. Just be sure to keep them safe always.

you can spend them on a couple of million things. just google "where can i spend bitcoin" and find all of the things you can buy with it.

you can take advantage of services like gyft to buy gift cards and save up on a lot of money.

you can just holding them in cold storage (if that secure way to keep them you found is the same). and just hold them for a long time and wait for the price to reach a big number (many say 10K)
