Another scam is happening now.The founder of Lendefi project is a known scammer and con artist.
Robin Dey was shut down by ASIC in Australia and scammed investors out of millions in the Malta DX scam 2 years ago. He then went on to try and run a scam in India called Hempcorp.

Scammers are at least getting arrested somewhere, which is nice. They shouldn't be able to just run with the investors' money.

Glad to see this, really! These are the signals we should be sending to the scammers. They can't walk freely.

So, have you ever got scammed, or know some good stories to share with others to help them learn from others mistakes?
Well I have not yet been scam and I don't intend to be. Really we need to discuss more on how to prevent being scammed I mean measures that are substantial to make one less vulnerable to scamsters

This type of scams have been around for so long and people still falling for them? Just use a well known brand, create a fake website and enjoy? LOL
Well that's why they are called scammers because of their unprofessionally attitudes

Scammers will do anything just to let you believe how legitimate they are,and sadly still many people here are falling into this.but ofcourse we cannot blame them since these bad elements are here to victimized and nothing more

Just read this article, a nice piece about Bitcoin scams with an example - http://cryptofinance24.com/how-not-to-scam-people-p428-171.htm
The example story about one scam there is just hilarious. The scam is so bad, but people still fall for it  Huh Huh Huh

So, have you ever got scammed, or know some good stories to share with others to help them learn from others mistakes?

Yes, I did get scammed buying tokens during ICOs. I didn't think it would end this way. I invested into a few coins including Nimiq and I am with -90% with my initial investment. It is doing really bad especially because the team received all the funds and they just laundering the money for themselves. So, guys don't invest into ICOs

people always got scam because they are  believe bitcoin is getting rich quick  , last  two years i got $2000 in scam project but right now it stand as a lesson to me , We must lean about bitcoin and Altcoin especially ICO project before  we invest into it  or else we will always fall victims ..
That's the fact, they were here with a wrong information so they make a wrong action.
Bitcoin is not an investment, it's a tech where we can use to transfer online but due to its limited supply, it has become a good investment.
But, this truth is not what the people understand, they tent to invest in ponzi scheme who requires a bitcoin deposit.

I got scammed once. It wasn't a big amount, but about 100 USD. It was a cloud mining scheme. I was a noob as well at this time and didn't do enough research about the company and the project. Looking back there were some red flags, but I couldn't notice them. Biggest of them was that there were already some scam accusations on the internet about them. Wish I had googled them. They are not active anymore, at least not with this project. Maybe they have started new one, who knows. So, keep your eyes opened and do your homework, check the backgrounds of people who are managing the project and so on.

You still have to be thankful that you only loss that amount of money.
At first when we enter here, there's a lot of opportunity to make money, however due to our aggressiveness we forget to conduct due diligence that's why we fall as victim. But that's alright, you loss money but you strive hard to learn and eventually you'll earn.

Most of the time, being cheated just because of greed, scammers usually set a free pizza for you. When you want to eat it, you may need to pay a little bit of money. Compared with pizza, your payment seems to be trivial. But scammers is cheating on your little bit of money. So never trust a free lunch like this.

I have to say right away that I have never been a victim of scammers. But I know a lot of stories about this.
It always has the same rules.
Free cheese. "Just pay 0.1 ETH per transaction and get 10 ETH" You can still see it in some telegramm channels.
To be honest, I can not imagine who can believe it for now. But if scammers use it, way is working still.

Exchange Scams
Despite their decentralized nature, most cryptocurrencies are still bought and sold at exchanges. While this makes it easier to find the coins investors desire, there is still no regulatory body overseeing these exchanges in many countries. Thus, many investors have been left penniless when the exchanges they signed up for turn out to be traps. In December, several South Korean exchanges were exposed, leading to promises of stiffer regulations by the country’s authorities.

These scams are not hard to spot but can be costly if not avoided. One of the biggest red flags is the promise of unrealistic prices. Exchanges that promise heavy discounts on bitcoin use this strategy to lure in unsuspecting victims. Additionally, users can check exchanges’ URLs. Web addresses should always begin with HTTPS, a sign that traffic is encrypted. Visiting unsecured websites is a bad idea, but alert investors can avoid losing thousands by looking for the right signs.

Sometimes a few batches of common sense are enough to avoid 99% of all scams. It might be true that there are some very good scammers, but most of them are easily to avoid. Finally it's up to you if you are educated to avoid getting scammed or not.

A few hours ago there was a scammer trying to scam people which should "donate" to santa clause and if they do they should get a surprise. What a bad scammer. Common sense to send never first would be enough.
