Bitcoin itself is already a highly secured cryptocurrency but also needs you to be very vigilant in keeping your credentials secure from cyber criminals. One way of making it secure is by activating the 2FA provided by the website where you store it.

Aside from activating the 2FA provided by the website, any other tips for good wallet management? I’d appreciate any recommendations for cold storage wallets too.

The best way to transfer data between an offline computer and an internet-connected computer is to use a USB drive. It is also necessary for safe and secure storage of your bitcoins. Linux has the best performance to counter any attacks related to the use of USB, so give your preference to this system as a USB drive to transfer bitcoin transactions from an Internet-connected computer to an offline computer.

Hi All

What do you use for your bitcoin security, I have been looking into usb style password protectors, but don't know enough about them as to the trust that I should place in them.

Has anyone bought them and would you recommend them?

Many thanks

I think that bitcoin have a high security. Bitcoin can be store in different wallet like here in my country we have coins.ph that you can store Fiat, bitcoin and ETH.
Bitcoin can also be store in offline wallet and you can secure your password and other stuff need to be secured.
in my opinion, bitcoin is indeed safe in terms of passwords that only we know and the wallet security system that is definitely protected and can use hardware becomes safer.

Is the most secure type of wallet, whether hackers have stolen personal information, can not interfere with the amount of money in your wallet. All your belongings are safe in your wallet, so no one can touch it. So be assured of its safety.

You can rest assured about the security of the USB-style bitcoin security. Since it's completely separate from the internet, no hacker can get in.

Buying your hardware wallet gives you stronger security for your bitcoin's. You are increasing your protection with any attacks that can be done through exchange. For those that are using exchange to keep their coins, keep only what you afford to lose just in case something bad happens. And don't use similar passwords that you use with your emails and exchange/online wallets and for those people that can afford to by hardware wallet do it.

each wallet must have had a fairly high security, if you want to increase security you better use one laptop for all your activities in the crypto world, and use another laptop for other activities, it will minimize you exposed to phishing sites that make people others can know your private key to steal the bitcoin that you saved.

I recommend you to buy Ledger S Nano to keep your bitcoin in a USB drive, but you need to keep your private keys too. I think it is a secure wallet and you don't have to worry from stealing because the ledger itself will have a password to access. Don't use the exchange wallet to keep the most bitcoin you have because it's too risky and you don't know if they can online for a long time or not.

Bitcoin is very good security, it's important how people use it, because if you lose or get hacked private key, you lose everything and there is no way to get back!

If this is what you mean, then I definately recommend it.

Write your private key in some text file, do it so on airgapped computer, encrypt this file with some encryption app, make sure you remember the password, now move it to USB and have multiple other back ups of it.

This one of the ways to keep your private key safe (ie. Your Bitcoin).

I don't do that, but if it's really good, do it. I suggest that for the security of our bitcoin account, we must emphasize that we should not be careless in storing or giving it to others, because it is useless if it is tight and complicated, but we are still careless. it's just as useless ...

In addition to the password on the exchange, you can use a cold wallet for storing Bitcoins, which is considered more reliable.

Wallets are usually stored digitally, either locally or online, but there are more secure ways to store bitcoins. Your bitcoin "wallets" can be printed out and stored on paper. A paper wallet is a slip of paper with both your private and public keys printed on it.
I agree with you the important security of the wallet if the identity is no problem for me, so in my opinion, security must be more favored and must be developed with a qualified feature so that it cannot be stolen and broken down by criminals
