I don't think it will happen that Bitcoin will be overtaken by any altcoin. It is true that altcoins will but Bitcoin will also increase with them in the future. So, in my view Bitcoin will always the king of crypto market.
I think this is absolutely right because the Bitcoin is also a strong and good coin and they are stable there price in a years so it can say easily that it will be a king of the cryptocurrency i can't say that can't cross Bitcoin but i say that in this time Bitcoin look like a king.
Actually it is very hard for any coin to get worthy more than bitcoin as you people know that bitcoin is very well liked and most victorious coin a large number of crypto user make investment in bitcoin. But it is fact that bitcoin is very high in price if one make investment in bitcoin and the market become down so it is fear to drop the money invested in bitcoin.
It may be possible for other coin to beat Bitcoin in value but to take over would be a very difficult situation. Of all coins so far, Bitcoin is the most popular and it has the greatest value amongst others. A layman does not have an idea that they are other altcoins in circulation, all you'll hear of them say is Bitcoin, it takes extra studies for one to come to the light of other coins.

Today I took my time to go round the market, there are more than 9000 cryptos in the market, but bitcoin is still the king. Now that many other cryptocurrencies are seriously pumping can they take over from bitcoin? If they take over from bitcoin can they last in that position like bitcoin?

Well it's hard to replace the bitcoin title as the king with another crypto because bitcoin was the 1st generation of cryptocurrency. But as utilities many cryptocurrencies have great utility as a token rather than bitcoin because the technology growth is really fast as I know. Some crypto projects provide many functions in only one token that's why many new tokens will compete with each other to make their brand awareness.

For me it's hard to see that in the near future any alt coin could overtake bitcoin as the new leading crypto currency. Never say never, but at the moment it seems unrealistic. Bitcoin became so mainstream over the last years that I don't think investors are going to abandon it just for another coin. That is why I agree with your statement that Bitcoin is king. Any crypto investor should atleast hold a bit of his money in bitcoins. There are a lot of attractive alt coin projects out there, but it's very hard to beat bitcoins over a longer period of time.
Absolutely right because Bitcoin is one of the successful coin in the crypto world so any one easily say that that is the king and this coin background are so strong and its a very hardly say that the investor loss there Money so i say that this a truth Bitcoin is the king.
No currency under any circumstances is capable of replacing BTC, it simply does not have the history or structure required for it, in short it is irreplaceable, all currencies are dependent on BTC, in fact all currencies that exist, exist and have life thanks to BTC and it is easily demonstrable, because if BTC rises, all altcoins follow the movement, if BTC falls all other altcoins bleed and some cannot even be recovered afterwards.
We know that nothing do last forever but at least Bitcoin did really proves out and shows off on how capable it is but we know that there would be no guarantees that there would be no altcoins would take place.Altcoins are more updated when it comes to real use case and features but the community would always be having the final say on which one would be mainly supported and which do comes next.

Bitcoin can be said to be the king because of its large price capitalization and trading volume that dominates the crypto market. but for an altcoin to take over bitcoin and be in bitcoin's position I think it's a big problem for altcoins and it's not going to be easy. What is your opinion.

It would be difficult for other cryptocurrencies to beat bitcoin, even difficult to at least give a tough time to bitcoin due to its popularity and trust of people on the bitcoin. Other currencies may get good recognition in the market but against bitcoin! it's far more difficult and will take a lot of time.

bitcoin is a pioneer in cryptocurrency. by getting the highest trust, the biggest investment is in bitcoin. coupled with a limited supply so do not be surprised if the price is getting more expensive.
