I think so. The bitcoin price could reach 2000 dollars by the end of next year or some time in 2018.

4 years too long? how so? the price has to go up in a manner that the growth we realize throughout the years is sustainable. steady growth spreaded over a longer period of time is always better than short lasting peaks that will vanish again. and no, it will not go up to $2000 this or next year. patience is required here.

That it will peak to 2000$ is something that will happen ., someone or something could make it spike up till there.

When you ask like that is it possible, my answer is anything is possible, even btc to reach 2000 $ until the end of this year.
Chances can be low for this to happen, but bitcoin can surprises us, like it did in the past. I believe in some rise before new year, someone compared last halving with this one, and if history will be repeated we can expect that rise after october.
I have faith in btc, and for me like a believer its easy to be optimistic. Future will say how much I was right.
