Bitcoin cannot become international until people all over the world have the bare necessities of life like food, water, medicine, clothing. After that the luxury comes = computer, internet etc. Also internet is the backbone of bitcoin, without which it is very much dead. So speculating that bitcoin will be international currency is just wild because there are still several places where basic amenities of life need improvement before some cyber coin which floats in thin air becomes popular there.
Well, if that is your criteria with bitcoin I think we can never consider bitcoin as an international currency, but for me I have a simple criteria and I believe bitcoin is a international currency as it is used all over the world and although not all people are using which I doubt will happen.

To some of us, the bitcoin is an international currency. We can send the bitcoin to a person in another country.

Bitcoin is already an international currency and it is being used by millions of people but without exchaning it we can't use everywhere.
But we can't expect a country to adopt bitcoin as their local currency because the infrastructure of bitcoin and the government can adopt it well.
I think as long bitcoin can not be used freely around the world I think bitcoin can not be used for international currency
That's your thought but you are wrong. Bitcoin is designed to be an international currency and we have achieve that already since bitcoin is getting more and more popular overtime, people learn to use bitcoins because of the great benefits it offers to us and I believe it will be a successful currency in the future with full support of the people until such time we will achieve a massive adoption.
indeed people learn on how to use bitcoin , but you must know that most of them are struggling to understand what exactly the purpose of bitcoin? how could a computer producing money? how is it possible? and so much question . bitcoin couldn't be an 'international currency' if its users have no idea about bitcoin itself , and now it's happening.

Entirely false. Your bitcoin wallet can be accessed with the help of the Internet. The majority of the places of the world has an Internet connection. Only uncivilized places don't have Internet. Most of us have a smartphone that can access the Internet as well. The bitcoin wallet can be accessed anywhere and you can also send whenever you want. You can send to people from abroad so I guess that's basically what makes it an international currency. Bitcoin can be converted into any local currencies.

If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?

i think is never bitcoin can real curency and can use in the world without exchange
until now bitcoin still not ready physic coin
and only several country is ready regulated bitcoin
majority country all the world still not yet regulated bitcoin
Why not? Bitcoin never need to physic coin, because bitcoin is a internet currency that mean not need physic coin, isn't it?
But to be international currency, that mean is need much more people to adopt it and Recognition of all countries that this currency can be used anywhere

Neither credit cards can replace paper money, that's the fasted and simple way to make live transactions...

However I think the bitcoin will dominate the internet in few decades, or any other alt..
for the safety and security anyone will want to adopt bitcoin or any digital type of payment system like credit card and debit cards. so I think in the coming future people will like to do transactions in bitcoin and will shop online from online shops.

I absolutely agree with your idea. This is the most awesome dream i have ever wanted to happen. Let's think about the future where there is only one currency left, you can use your money in anywhere at anytime. No more Fiat, no more government, no more rulers Smiley
yeah no more government no more rulers and criminality will be everywhere, money laundering can be easily done,a world without rule is broken, and thus why the rules had been made for today, for the sake of humanity

There needs to be a greater sense of price stability around Bitcoin in order for it to become a true international currency. This is made evident by people on the forums still quoting prices of goods and services in terms of USD in Bitcoin and not just in bitcoin itself.

Another issue is, as many have mentioned, Bitcoin's effective deflationary record. As the value of the currency rises, there is a greater incentive not to make any transactions for goods or services because if you wait a few days then you may have more purchasing power. This concept is consistent with any fiat currencies that have experienced the harmful effects of deflation in the past and why many central banks around the world do all they can to keep deflation from happening.

Ya correct the biggest example is this forum as there are users registered from many different countries in the globe and they all are using bitcoins so certainly bitcoin is already an international currency. Its not made official by any government but it is used across the world.
The most countries dont know how to react about bitcoin, ask some politicians about bitcoin what it is, they wont be able to reply in the general, and they will maybe say its a huge ponzi sheme supported by some rich people. Bitcoin its international currency already just isnt and wont be recognized as such, atleast not on the next years.

For becoming international currency bitcoin do not need to be accepted by any country as their local currency if it is accepted worldwide for their transaction openly and with freedom without any restriction of borders then it will be international currency which is it already.

But we can't expect a country to adopt bitcoin as their local currency because the infrastructure of bitcoin and the government can adopt it well.

What we need are more payment processors who accept bitcoin debit cards. More than cash, most transactions are made using credit cards these days. That is what can drive adoption
well a lot of countries, especially third world countries and beyond, still generally use paper money for everyday transactions. it would take a considerable amount of time, perhaps decades, for bitcoin to supplant fiat as the main international currency
