Well hello there!
September 13, 2014, 08:03:00 PM
Also interested in checking out this proof of solvency.  I have only invested a small amount of bitcoin into a few of their trading pool shares and thus far have been cashing out ok, but really wanting to know if this thing is going to be sticking around until my 4 month contracts run out :/

BTW maybe this is off topic, but what do you think about ZenHashlets?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8698723

What are you talking about there. It is already a matter of fact that no mining is going on there at all. Hashlets are not even a piece of hardware you own. I bought some with CC, so that I got some time to reverse my payment if things go sour.

I would debate that they are mining.  I have been through many of the "cloud investments" like pbmining and cex.io and some do mine while some are just schemes.  Personally, I believe the CEO has provided enough proof to convince me they are mining like datacenter pictures and other stuff on the forum.  Now, what is a fact is that you are buying a mining share, not a physical piece.  I have never seen any company offer hardware in physical pieces; if they claim they do, they are lying or scamming.  The share system is more profitable for the company as they can adjust the shares, but I am fine with that.

Anyways, off topic.  I believe bitcoin-trader has a few more months to live if they don't provide any proof or audit.

U mean before legal action is taken or until they "become" a ponzi?

I believe they are legit but they might lose some investors without proof of solvency

You're right. I think bitcoin-trader will survive as they prove solvency but the issue is its trustworthy.

Please don't mix up with other off-topic issues. Undecided

all i know is that they are about to do some thing called "audit" what that means and what is it about i dont have an idea, but they say it is the proof that they are legal, it should be ready soon.

They've talked about it since early spring, and in July they said it would be done by the end of August.

I've decided not to invest untill I see that "audit", and have information about company that processes that audit...
and if that audit doesent convince me I'm not investing...

BTW maybe this is off topic, but what do you think about ZenHashlets?

No one knows whats there, but thats an option to invest, even if it is, many people already did return their investment and now can safely use earned money, so that even if they collapse you will not be in trouble...

Sure they can, but as more and more people do this, the required inflow of new funds to stay afloat will increase exponentially.

Regarding price difference is small : http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/currency/USD.html

its not, just keep your eye on whats happening when one exchange starts behaving abnormally, price difference can get to 20$ sometimes even more... for no risk activity this is more than enough

When it comes to a large volume institutional fund like bitcoin-trade.biz, we need to take into account volume too. It is easy to take price difference but difficult for execute large volume. This thread is not about general arbitrage but bitcoin-trade.biz.

I have no information of outstanding principal of them, is it public?

Does bitcoin-trade.biz arbitrage in Vachs way or in blackhathasher way?

Neither, it's a ponzi.

what Vach is saying here (and getting wrong btw) is that he is alluding that arbitrage traders NEVER move funds between accounts and that's just patently wrong.

It's not. Your way will probably work every now and then, but because it's expensive and slow and the price difference between exchanges is small, it won't be very profitable. Vachs way is better, you just don't understand what he means.

Sorry still not sure.

In either way, all depends on the principal amount of the investment. 0.1 % a day is easy for 0.1 BTC, but quite hard for 1,000 BTC.

You move funds very rarely, given that you do arbitrage with 2 exchanges one of ballances is getting more value in assets, and to be effective you need to make sure you have equal amount in every exchange ballance (but in fact there are differences some exchanges have higher price fluctuations thus you need to have more cash here, and when you have not 2 but 5 exchanges waiting for the opportunity this one can provide opportunity for several other exchanges).

nothing complicated here, the difficult part is how do you calculate what price difference you will sell/buy and what difference you will balance accounts... Also you have to analyze which exchanges are needing more cash (creating more opportunities)... Those are complicated optimizations...

I'm using it as my safe way to earn money, there is no risk involved here (only if with some wonder bitcoin prices equals to 0, even then i'll save half of my assets), but to be honest its not that profitable, sometimes you can see for hours no opportunities are appearing... But this is my SAFE place to do that, I can never rely 100% on any Investment option out there (BT, Zen) those are more profitable but those involve RISK.
either way you need to use your brain

i sent overall $1,500 to BT since feb 8th. I have made about $2,600 of cash-outs (principal + interests) and i have also got about $700 left so overall i am about 120% in profit assuming i can withdraw those remaining $700

like someone else said, this is NOT an evidence that BT is NOT a ponzi Smiley just giving a data point for those interested!
