Recently I've sent $20 for a trade but even after 48 hours its not confirmed yet. Are you guys too facing this issue with bitcoins?

Yes, Bitcoin confirmation times and rates has been the headache of many in recent weeks and I'm tempted to say that it is making our beloved cryptocurrency unpopular by the day and I hope the developers come up with something quick to remedy this situation so that the delays and monetization of Bitcoin will cease.
Probably due to recent price pumping that increases the number of transactions were made thus make the delay occur to the network. Pretty disappointed by the speed of confirmation nowaday honestly, but there's nothing I can do. The best way is just making your fee higher than usual, it's sure working.

Well that's good idea to pay more fee for your transactions but in this isue how if the transactions was sent and the sender didn't remember to add more fees. I think it was too late to add more fees to get faster transactions.
There is no assurance when sending bitcoin to other address or there is no exact time that your transaction will be confirm fast.
Increasing can help but sometimes it takes longer time. this is just what i experience..
Now i am now changing the process and use the bitcoin transaction speeder. where i found in this forum sometimes its not working but most of them are working when i am sending bitcoin in other address..
I dont need to pay more high amount of fee..  here is the address where we can speed up https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

So, Bitcoin doesn't seem to be the best platform to take advantage of the microtransaction markets at this time.  That application is what was appealing to a large number of bitcoin adopters.  At this point, the microtransactions seem to be bloating the system....Is anybody working out a solution....will this effect the remittance markets if transaction fees continue to increase?

Bitcoin transaction is very slow, i send $20 of bitcoin to my another wallet and even after 2 days of waiting it doesn't seem that it gets confirmation and until now i'm waiting for that transaction to confirm because of my expenses that badly needed to pay as soon as possible.

This type of problem can be a factor why bitcoin is not getting the 100% of interest of other people since this confirmation time can be a downside and turn off for future investors, I hopes that this problem will be fix and the transactions will be faster than now.

Ya you are actually right I received some funds in the middle it was talking 10 min so I was like I'll use the funds and then go but 15 minutes passed away still nothing happened. When I came back after 30 min the transaction was still confirming, so I don't think you are the online person who is actually facing a delay for the transactions to confirm.

My transaction too has not been confirmed for over 24 hours: https://blockchain.info/tx/85c97faeaae2889212a7adff521ef1d6d5ab9706a3c31214ae9363591d983dab

I don't know why a $7.5 transaction consumes 522 bytes, which means it would require minimum $0.55 as fee. It's almost 8% of the transaction amount which I would need to spend as a fee which makes bitcoins expensive and lose its value.

Using xapo/coinbase makes confirmations faster as they apply a 112 satoshi/byte fee else we need to spend 8% per transaction.

Even Coinbase is taking several hours, to not say half of a day, to complete a transaction. It's really bad currently and i am not agree to pay a 8 percent fees

No, coinbase is adding a very high fee for transaction and same goes for Xapo. I noticed that they are paying 0.0009 btc for every transaction so that it gets confirmed soon (transactions take 5 minutes to get confirmed). But still it's not worth to pay such high fees for a transaction as low as 0.01 BTC.

You are not the only one. Bitcoin network is currently facing heavy transaction load. Around 93k transactions are currently unconfirmed.
https://blockchain.info/en/unconfirmed-transactions

You need to pay more than normal transaction fee to get faster confirmation, that is you need to pay higher fee if you want your transactions to get confirmed faster.

Recently I've sent $20 for a trade but even after 48 hours its not confirmed yet. Are you guys too facing this issue with bitcoins?

Seems that the blockchain do have a problem again on processing too many transactions, that is why many transactions are not yet confirmed since the last two days. Everyone is thinking that they have lost their bitcoin and would not receive it anymore because two days have already pass, yet they don't receive it.

But it is not true, they will receive it as soon as this problem will be fixed, and this is not the first time that this situation happens to the blockchain, the reason behind this is because of too many transactions by the rapidly growing of the bitcoin users population.

So I finally got an answer why my $15 transactions hasn't been confirm for the last  36 hours if I've known that there's an ongoing issue like this I would have set the fees to a much higher so i can get it even in two hours, but now with so many transactions going will I ever get my bitcoin..

yes actually network is a bit too busy these days and hence I also faced this issue though I realized it next time and paid 0.0003 btc fees and it got confirmed in next 2 blocks. But bitcoins being 1100$ it feels pain paying 30 cents.

This is why bitcoin SUCKS! Time to switch to something better  Grin

p.s im also in this mess of unconfirmed transactions with blockchain and its been nearly 48hrs. I made a payment this morning with another coin (not mentioning) and it took what 20 seconds?

Im frustrated with btc

Another thread with the same problem.. Guys please read threads before starting a new one. Everybody in this mess right now and finding a solution. Paying more fees will less your waiting time but that cannot be a permanent solution.  Roll Eyes

Paying more fees is NOT a solution, switching to another coin is the solution.!

All the other coins right now, does not have the same adoption and community support like what Bitcoin is now enjoying, tell me what coin do you have in mind that you can cashout without converting it first to bitcoin and what other crypto currency that has wide spread adoption like Bitcoin.

Well, just to make an example if you have a coinsbank account you can cashout LTC on your coinsbank credit card.
The problem is that all other coins are not as popular as bitcoin, but once we will have alternatives i think many will switch over to altcoins.

yea we all are facing the problem of long time of confirmation if we pay less transaction fees. as because already there is a long que of about 40 to 80 thousand unconfirmed transactions and we are one among them so the one who pays high fees will get the transaction confirmed faster and don't worry it will get verified soon.
