My transaction too has not been confirmed for over 24 hours: https://blockchain.info/tx/85c97faeaae2889212a7adff521ef1d6d5ab9706a3c31214ae9363591d983dab

I don't know why a $7.5 transaction consumes 522 bytes, which means it would require minimum $0.55 as fee. It's almost 8% of the transaction amount which I would need to spend as a fee which makes bitcoins expensive and lose its value.

Using xapo/coinbase makes confirmations faster as they apply a 112 satoshi/byte fee else we need to spend 8% per transaction.

You're making a common mistake of not adjusting the fee.
https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ As you can see here currently you need to set it to over 0.0008 / byte to be above the majority and get a fast confirmation. I used to send transactions with 0.0002 fee last year and they had no problems going through, but this year people started pumping the fees like crazy and the smallest fee is probably something above 0.0004, if you go below that you could be waiting 2-3 days for a confirmation.

Recently I've sent $20 for a trade but even after 48 hours its not confirmed yet. Are you guys too facing this issue with bitcoins?

Yes, Bitcoin confirmation times and rates has been the headache of many in recent weeks and I'm tempted to say that it is making our beloved cryptocurrency unpopular by the day and I hope the developers come up with something quick to remedy this situation so that the delays and monetization of Bitcoin will cease.

I would surely want to see some evidence that this is a true statement, because this sounds a bit fishy to me. Yes, there are currently spam attacks and miners fees are higher than usual, but 48 hours sounds like a huge exaggeration to me. I have send tx's with much less fees, and it was confirmed.

Take a screen capture of the tx's and blank out the Bitcoin address, so that we can confirm this please.

I can confirm that confirmation now took a lot of time to happen I sent two one from coin.space wallet and the other through my electrum wallet and both transactions are not yet confirm and it's been over 24 hours, this is not the first time i experience this 20 months ago had the same issue but I eventually get it after 48 hours.

many of my friends who complain about the bitcoin confirmation that the longer especially wallet in blockchain, and while I have not done bitcoin transactions until there is good news about the longer of confirmation bitcoin
Theres nothing connection on which web wallet would you use since they are just linked into the same blockchain and confirmation times nowadays would really be long and seeing on the network traffic its 100k which means it would be very long for your transaction to be confirmed.

Not only you does experiencing this kind of problem but all of bitcoin users does really have delay confirmation times because as you can see on the unconfirmed transactions its almost 100k as of now which means miner will be slow enough to confirm to those transactions even you put high fees it would still take how many hours.
i too is experiencing this some kind of delay.. i am waiting for a payment from the task i made yet its been six hours and so already and it still pending. when i looked at it, the sender only put a smaller fee what is why it taking a lot of time to confirm. we dont have to worry mate beside its not only us who is experiencing this. thousands of us maybe. the price has been stable for weeks now for 4 digits. so the best thing to do now is just to wait (and pays a higher fees as well).. this might be over soon and all of our transactions will be confirmed. just have more patience mate.

Don't worry there are thousands of people experiencing this kind of thing.  The problem is the transaction fee.  I also experience this and took me more than 3 days before it confirmed.  It was dropped by blockchain.info so I need to check the status using other blockchain explorer.  Then eventually it was picked up by miner and confirmed.  I am glad i do not need to resend the transaction.

Huge volumes are to be expected from here on in, especially because the price has seemed to stabilize at the four digit level, and there’s really no reason right now for the price to plummet suddenly. Patience and higher fees are our weapons for now, and for as long as the price keeps climbing, I think the price to pay for transactions can easily be offset. I will try to make another transaction one of these days and see for myself if I'll encounter the same thing that some of you had.

First of all you need to paste your bitcoin adress from or for you made transaction .
It may be possible that you didn't pay sufficient transaction charge for your transaction amount .
Secondly it may be possible at the time of transaction the node in bitcoin ( block of the Bitcoin node ) were not all online .
So probably it may be possible your transaction is not involved in the block ( but this condition usually not observed by the most of the transactions)
Third possible reason is , may be some problem facing by the trading site , that didn't count your transactions .
So here I will suggest you to see the confirmation status if all thing is good then contact trading site .

Waiting is virtue dude, I have also a transaction made 2 days ago and never confirms until now. And upon seeing the unconfirmed transactions, minutes from now it will reach 100k and this is really a disaster I guess. This is the first time I've ever seen since I entered this technology. I don't really know what happens to the network, if there's already transactions got confirmed.
2 days is a long period, didn't u pay higher transaction fee or maybe transaction fee is still considered low compared to the transfer size. But how long will this continue if we fail to accept segwit and LN? This does not encourage a regular daily transaction

https://blockchain.info/en/unconfirmed-transactions
fast confirmations are getting very expensive.

but it's "normal". every time bitcoin start to pump, people start to do way more transactions and that happens.

i seriously doubt that there is anything normal at all about a 92,000 unconfirmed transaction. a normal growth would have been 20 to 30K tops. this number is unreal and a spam attack for sure.

yup probably spam attack

i hope bitcoin unlimited wins

One of the factors that is holding bitcoin back the most in my opinion is the inability to process as many transactions necessary to facilitate it's own growth. If you send transaction with a low-fee, forget about it.. If you send it with a normal fee it has taken 2+ hours on average for me... I haven't even bothered with a high-fee because I'm not flossing like that.

The network is congested again, 100K of unconfirmed transactions is too much. This should be fixed immediately or new  bitcoin users will get frustrated waiting for their transactions to confirm.

I have this kind of problem too but I know it's just only the batch of transaction that has the problem. I recently have a 4 transaction in the past few days and I only have one transaction who is not confirmed yet until now. Ive sent it on February 21 in our time . But the transaction that I sent on Feb 22 takes only a minute in order to finish the transaction. Maybe it's just the batch of transaction who is being traffic.
