I think by the end of 2016, the price of bitcoin will be over $1000. It is increasing already now, and halving will also help the price rise.

Almost 50% wait for +1200 this new year! What an optimistic outlook. I also would like to watch such a great raise, although I can observe a more consistent and stable increase in the price of btc. At this pace, I will be satisfied with a resistance level about $1000.

I do not think price will drop from hitting previous high price levels. Because once price hitting previous high price, there are many new investors will come to bitcoin ecosystem to invest more. This will make bitcoin to test new high price levels like $2000 or $2500. So there are less possibilities for downfall from $1200 levels.

Yeah, I agree. Add in some FOMO and the climate for will be a lot more favorable in 2016 when price goes 1200+.

If you look at the past trends you will see differences but also things that are alike previous price increased.
Taking that in hand a 1k price is possible.

The halving will cause the prices to skyrocket and fall back down again, so I would say it would be around $900.

I think highest resistance would be around $900... This year we went from the $200 low to $470 which resisted a little(that's more than double) so I would assume next year we go from around $430 to around $900.
