Will the bitcoin replace the Gold? If there is A war coming everyone will run to the Bitcoin instead of the gold?

Cheers

I do not think any bitcoin will remain a bitcoin and gold will remain gold. Gold will not replace bitcoin and bitcoin will not replace gold because both do have similarities ,, but I think there are more differences between gold and bitcoin. The most obvious difference is that the bitcoin is intangible and if the gold is tangible.

I think one of the common threads of debate is how Bitcoin represents a store of value due to its finite nature, etc.  However, the most important consideration in evaluating any technology or investment is what real value does it provide to people and will they want that specific value in various circumstances (e.g., war, recession, financial crisis, etc.).  I think Bitcoin and similar blockchain technologies would do well during poor economic conditions, and financial-related crises would be a boon for these technologies, due to their ease of use, accessibility and trustless nature.  Indeed, they were born out of the 2008 financial crisis. Other scenarios would be vastly different and it's difficult to predict the impact on the crypto market.

I've discussed some aspects about the real value behind Bitcoin and other blockchain protocols here: http://thebitnote.com/cryptocurrencies-assets-currencies-or-tulips/

Also, food for thought is that Bitcoin and related blockchain protocol projects are intrinsically tied to network effects (i.e., the value of these networks increases with the number of participants), so consider the future value being influenced by the extent to which people want to interact with these networks.

no one expects war to occur on earth except you. bitcoin will always be an option when someone has been involved in crypto. so basically bitcoin is the king of digital technology in the internet world.

Any sich commodoty in the war is useless. Imagine that if you are in the war and you need some money urgently. What would you do that time? Bitcoin can't acyually replace gold but bitcoin could be called as digital gold and all the digital commodities during a war will be of no use according to me!
Ok, so not to replace but better investment?

In times of war, will people have money to invest in Bitcoin? I imagine that BTC will crash as people withdraw their money to buy food, supplies, etc.

It all depends on one's needs or necessity. There might be some common things between gold and bitcoin, but they are not exactly the same. Gold is asset which can be physically touch with our hands similar to the cash or coin. they can be melted and used in making jewels and many other things. whereas bitcoins are digital currency which are stored in blockchain, under some big address. The bitcoin transaction doesn't involve any banks or corporate agent. Gold and bitcoin both are having same kind of demand, and usage in their respective areas. Bitcoin cant replace the gold for now as i don't see any kind of war coming in for now, and that's why i give importance to both.

You should keep in mind that bitcoin is SO DIFFERENT than GOLD. Gold is a physical thing that you can give and exchange for a big amount. The real question in your opening post is that, bitcoin can defeat gold based on its price. Well it beaten gold last months ago. And I wouldn't wonder if it beats the gold so much more in the future.
Thanks!

some of the advantages that make Bitcoin better than Gold, especially for the millennium generation who understand digital currencies better than baby-boomers. Bitcoin is an easy medium to make payments around the world. And the number is limited, that there will be only 21 million Bitcoin alone. But on the other hand, gold has its own advantages as well that can be used as a direct gift, such as jewellery. Therefore the policy of choosing to invest in Bitcoin or Gold is in your own hands.

no, bitcoin is digital asset and gold is physical asset its mean that its different, if you want to save you asset to physic things ( saver than digital asset) you need to choose gold, but if you love to join digital asset with invisible transaction you can choose bitcoin, bitcoin price is going up and down many times

Bitcoin will never replace gold or other currency, well gold is had physical form while bitcoin is not aside that gold is legalized in anywhere and gold is still had more trust than bitcoin.
Well the two is limited and can exhausted one day but the different is bitcoin can die even before the bitcoin depleted maybe it's because bitcoin lost trust or because we can't acces the server because there's no internet again but gold isn't.

First of all gold is legalized everywhere and you can't buy things with gold.It is just like an asset where you trade it with fiat currency.Bitcoin is a digital currency which can implement the features of fiat currency for payments and all to buy things etc.

You cannot use bitcoin without your device, electricity and internet connection. If power interuption in happened in your area for just few minutes or you battery run out, your bitcoin transaction cannot proceed. But gold is different, if you run out of cash and you have a 24k bracelet on your wrist, you can always trade it, I think as of now, no one will deny trading of bitcoin in an emergency situation.

You  see the immediate value, there are many investors involved in bitcoin and they have to sell losses. Investing in bitcoin will make you more profitable, which is a false thought. It is more risky than profit.

If there is a war coming I will definitely run with my bitcoins instead of gold. Simply because I don't have any gold to carry with me. And that will be the case with most people ao definitely people will run with their btc instead of gold. And for the nth time I'm gonna say this, bitcoin can never replace bitcoin. Not today and not in the future. Unless you can melt btc and turn it into jewelries and other stuff. They are different from each other but both are valuable and great assets.

Bitcoin cannot replace gold. It may for a while compete with gold as an investment or as an asset worth hodling over time. But it still cannot overtake what gold has accomplished. With bitcoin, you are still risking your investment because the crypto market is very volatile. Gold is very stable in comparison to cryptocurrencies investment.
Surely many differences from the point of view both have good quality for long jangaka investment, so it all depends on those who have it ..
