Will the bitcoin replace the Gold? If there is A war coming everyone will run to the Bitcoin instead of the gold?

Cheers

Bitcoin cannot replace gold. It may for a while compete with gold as an investment or as an asset worth hodling over time. But it still cannot overtake what gold has accomplished. With bitcoin, you are still risking your investment because the crypto market is very volatile. Gold is very stable in comparison to cryptocurrencies investment.

No gold is still essential to humanity. Gold has its own advantages same with bitcoin. But as per my observation bitcoin can unite people, gold is sometimes is the reason why there is conflict among people

Actually you are misguiding yourself with gold and bitcoin ,they are different shapes of the same coin in the same way if war happened you will surprise to know that one can stole your gold but not bitcoin as they are saved on back up huge servers where it can not be demolished so in this scenario bit coin will never go else where.

LOL your title is funny anyway, no I don't think bitcoin will replace gold and no there is no war coming. Where did you read all these stuffs anyways? This is not the first time a fork happened so I think you need to do a lot more research about what is coming.
You are correct actually. War won't take place but still in a situation like war, it is hard to get food properly and at hat time it is nearly impossible to connect to internet and sell bitcoins or use them. So gold is always better then bitcoin at such situation and even peoples will try to collect gold as much as possible

It's going to create some chaos and wreak havoc among the bitcoin community just like a war would. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages such as the tangibility of gold and the volatility of bitcoin. You may say that gold is better in a time like a war because its possible for bitcoin to be inaccessible when the internet shuts down but then it is also possible for the value of gold to go down during such times. Without the internet, a lot of other things will be rendered useless not only bitcoin.

Surely, a lot more people trust in gold because it's a lot older and secure but it's a matter of picking your poison right. Each has its pros and cons. It's going to be a war of preferences.

Consider this scenario, there is a nuclear warfare and almost everything is destroyed something like fallout situation. Then decide which currency, BTC or gold, will still be surviving.
It's obvious, gold. BTC is nothing without digital technology, without internet it's nothing but few hashes. In a apocalyptic situation BTC is not a good option.
Huh Huh Huh Huh

without internet  many business will collapse.

In an 'apocalyptic situation' gold is worth almost nothing, but you'll be paying a fortune for a glass of water.
Agree, but it doesn't have to be  'apocalyptic situation' , even something like Financial crises. Bitcoin will do the job I think better than gold

Well, Bitcoin is an Electronic Currency that we use nowadays. Well, It doesn't mean that bitcoin is the new gold, For me, bitcoin is built for people to have an international currency. Because most of the country nowadays use bitcoin or accept it.
So, it's not the new gold but new asset that gives confidence to the investors.

No, gold is a physical thing you can hold in your hand. Bitcoin is electronic data. It is stored on the blockchain for everyone to see. Everyone cannot see all the gold. The blockchain cannot be manipulated unless there is someone who controls over 51% of the mining power. Gold can be melted and turned into other material. Both are hard to change. Gold and Bitcoin are similar in some regards, but also very different.

There is always a war somewhere, but I don't believe it has any effect on whether people want gold or bitcoin.

It seems to me that there is no substitute for something that works and has existed for x years. Actually the bitcoin is still growing and its course is good but it can only affect the market but not change for example gold. Soon it might be interesting.

Your title asks a different question, your post tells a different story, in case if war, first thing people would do is to save their lives, and if you're referring to Korea and USA war it's not going to happen ever. However let's say war will happen, I feel people will move to gold and Bitcoin equally as both shall rise. Bitcoin may be effected to, if the country has a good amount of Bitcoins and bash. I really don't think a war will do any good to Bitcoin.

Maybe he is busy roaming the Politics and Society section that he is thinking that US and its allies are going to war North Korea. Just stay out of that section because there's a lot of mind control going on in their. LOL.

For me Gold will remain as the only hedge against war. I read somewhere that you have to allocate at least 5-10% of your assets on gold. And according to history, England paid its debts during the war in Golds or to buy materials like Iron to sustain their effort in WW2. But bitcoin offers a different advantage though, you can't bring you gold bars on the other side in case you want to flee war torn country. You can have your hardware wallet though or smart phone, cross the border and there you have it, convert your bitcoin to fiat and stay away from the war.  Grin

This are two different things and don't affect each other. Best thing with bitcoin is it decentralize.
