If you need the money immediately, I don't recommend that you enter Bitcoin, bro, we all know that Bitcoin's volatility is quite high, what I'm afraid of is that if you need the money immediately and then the price of Bitcoin corrects again, it will be troublesome for you later. but if it is long-term savings or money that you will not use in the near future, please continue. always remember high risk high return. Always consider the risks when starting to invest.

My advice to you is that you should not force him to invest in Bitcoin. I think everyone has his or her own way of investment. If he is stocked to his idea and refuses to understand the future and important of Bitcoin, there is no need again. You are now the person in right position to take Bitcoin investment serious because you still have a long way to go. Because you are still a youth. Even if your father invest in Bitcoin it might still be for you. Afterall so no need to bother him just continue with your investment and focus because it's hard to convince someone who is bent on a particular thing that doesn't want to see the brighter side of what is been explained to him.

the goal is for his father to haave a BTC investment and convincing his father will benefit both him and his father. because what investment his father can allocate for BTC can be shared with OP and his family as well.

if his father just doesn't believe BTC as an investment because it's not tangible. you tell him that the future is not going to be going back since the digital realm is here and we are already part of it. BTC exists in the digital world and what we are using now like the phone and computers are the ones we can use to access our assets.

Do we really need to answer this as being asked here in Bitcoin forum ?

of course I am for Bitcoin , why would i've invest in Gold when its value grows so slow that in 10 years I cannot make my funds doubled ?

and why in Land when the development sometimes took long to have greater value also?

Bitcoin is the easiest and profitable than those .

I got into Bitcoin as a college student though I am not involved in earning yet but I have a lot of interest in Bitcoin and I am planning to hold Bitcoin. My father is a Malaysian expatriate. He receives a salary of $500 per month and sends $400 per month to support my family. I collect all the money from my father's salary and spend it for family support. Recently I have made a plan to invest a certain part of my father's salary remittance in Bitcoin but in this case I don't understand whether it should be invested in Bitcoin. I paid attention to invest in bitcoin seeing the popularity and future importance of bitcoin but my father and mother from my family have no knowledge of bitcoin so they keep persuading me to invest in bitcoin.

My parents thought that bitcoins that cannot be seen or touched cannot be an asset. They think that investing in physical assets such as gold, bank deposits, land etc. is more profitable than Bitcoin. But even after I convinced them, they are not ready to invest in Bitcoin. They don't want to believe in virtual currency.

Right now I want your important advice on how to convince them.
Why don't you diversify your investment? And since you are primarily using your father's money for your investment, use it to invest in assets such as gold, bank deposits, and land where they can easily understand. It would be better to use your own money to invest in Bitcoin and other digital assets that you are interested in. It can be stressful to convince your parents to invest in something they disagree with, so it is best to show them the positive results of your investment in digital assets once you make a decent profit. This will help you convince him more easily.

Please be very careful in how you take "advice" from others.  As a long time financial advisor I can tell you that what most people are saying here is nonsense, and they have no idea what they're talking about.

These three things you mentioned are COMPLETELY different assets.  Diversification is key (regardless of anyone saying otherwise) and how much you allocate to each part of your portfolio will entirely depend on how much money you have, your short and long term outlook, etc etc etc.

Comparing the three is a bit silly.
These three are indeed different investment instruments. In fact, all three have different levels of risk. And some people even consider gold not as an investment vehicle but only as an asset that can maintain its value. Gold appears to be increasing, even though in reality it is money that continues to decrease in value. And maybe even I had the same thought. This is different from land, which can be an investment asset for the future because demand will continue to increase as the human population increases. Which makes prices continue to increase. But still we cannot compare it with BTC which is in the digital asset category where the risks are quite large. If you have to compare it should be digital assets vs digital assets and physical assets vs physical assets. Only then will a fair comparison be created. But the current phenomenon does require comparing both or all three. Because there are types of investors from parents and types of investors from young people.

Choosing between Bitcoin, land, gold, or traditional money depends on one's investment goals and risk tolerance. Bitcoin, often dubbed "digital gold," appeals to those seeking a decentralized and finite asset with potential for long-term value appreciation. Land provides tangible assets and potential for development or agricultural income. Gold, a traditional store of value, is prized for stability. Traditional money offers liquidity and is widely accepted for transactions. Diversifying across these assets can balance risks. Bitcoin's volatility contrasts with the stability of land and gold, while traditional money maintains liquidity. Ultimately, the choice hinges on individual preferences, financial strategies, and the desired balance between digital, tangible, and traditional assets.

DYOR before investing for longterm, I used to think earlier for buying 1B shib but later on knowing lots on this forum I changed my mind now bought some little amount of btc and kept in core wallet for longterm. Let's see what's goes on !

I consider Bitcoin to be the best investment among the three: Bitcoin, Gold and Land. Gold and land prices tend to rise less and Bitcoin investments are more profitable. By investing in gold and land, if I leave it for a year, the price will rise by four to five percent at most. And comparatively if I invest that amount of money if Bitcoin can be invested for a year, it is possible to grow three to four times more.  Because the selling price at the beginning of 2023 was 15.5K, in just one year the current Bitcoin price went up to 48.9K. Then you can guess which one is likely to be the most profitable to invest in.

albert0bsd have said it all, in times when our own knowledge and explanation can't convince a person to trust and invest in bitcoin, then videos and materials such as albert0bsd have provided will surely do the job much better and faster than we ourself would have.

Though gold have built trust and credibility from its long time existence, I do not think it has made more fiat millionaires than bitcoin, and even in the future, bitcoin will still make more fiat millionaires than gold ever will, and this is not to discredit gold and discourage anyone interested from investing in it, I am an advocate of diversification when it comes to investment, so for those and anyone who can, invest in gold and also invest in bitcoin, but in a situation where I have to go with only one, I will and always happily choose to invest in bitcoin rather than invest in gold.

I don't see much difference between bitcoin, gold and land. I think they all have different pros and cons. In comparing the three, I sometimes find it better to buy gold, sometimes invest in Bitcoin instead of gold. Again, it seems that as urbanization is happening, let's buy some land. So many times I can't understand myself, which one is good for the future. Basically a good profit can be made from it only if the right decision is taken while investing. However I am invested in Bitcoin, planning to invest more in the future.
In essence, each investment has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Like Bitcoin, Gold and land certainly have different characteristics.

Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency with a high risk of price fluctuations, it will be very risky if you can't manage it well.

Gold as a precious stone that has a high selling price and the price always rises, but gold fluctuations are very slow, you will get a long enough profit and can be used as a safe haven asset.

Land included in the property can also be land and buildings and has a selling price that continues to rise.

Trying to invest in all these assets is an option for investors, but if you want to own them all, then there is nothing wrong.
It was a good choice for the future, owning Bitcoin assets that would experience tremendous gains when the bulls arrived and backed with valuable assets like gold and land that provided huge profits in the future.

Yes , all three are good assets and all have their pros and cons. If someone is rich enough, it is best to own all three to diversify assets, and diversification is a good thing to do when investing. But if we are not rich and don't have a lot of money then I think bitcoin should be the choice. Bitcoin may not be the safest option out of these three, but it is certainly the one that can yield the best returns. I will choose bitcoin to increase capital first , then I will think about diversifying into the remaining 2 asset classes.

All three of the suggested investments (gold, bitcoin, and real estate) are good. But I will focus only on one feature that makes bitcoin different compared to the other two: It requires no servicing or maintaining. Land and real estate needs to be maintained, fixed, renewed, etc., otherwise it deteriorates, driving the value down. Gold doesn't need fixing once you purchase it, but consider that you need to keep it somewhere physically and protect it. Or you keep it with a custodian and pay monthly fees. There are no fees associated with holding bitcoin and it doesn't deteriorate or expire. But you have to understand and accept the volatility as an integral part of the game.
In the end, in this case, we are indirectly required from the start to know the specific characteristics of what we want to aim for or invest in and we must know the advantages and disadvantages we have.

The three (bitcoin, gold and real estate) are something that will indeed be very good in the end if we invest in it but indeed all have their own advantages and disadvantages so there is no need to compare which one is better in this case but what needs to be considered in this case is where we are ready to be. Everything returns to ourselves in the end because of course being in these three types of investments depends on our readiness and ability whether we are able to be there or not because everything has its own uniqueness and is indeed worthy of investment.

They have to realized that sometimes, things that are not seen tend to last more than things that we clearly see or feel, they are older people, senior citizens and have been more experienced in many ways than we do but that doesn't mean they are updated as we are in this present generation, during their time, things weren't like this, but now, they may feel it's a means of scam to exercise fraudulent acts since they have heard about many online related scams trending, they may not want to hear or give any digital network attention for them to try, but as for anyone who knows about bitcoin and gold, you could tell well that bitcoin is currently having higher edge than gold.

They have all their own plus and cons, you can't really compare them. I personally prefer bitcoin over every other, but just because I prefer it, doesn't mean its the right answer. Also, there are "business" people as well, I have seen plenty of people who had absolutely no money and just ton of debt, who were getting super rich, they have none to invest into any of this, they just keep investing more and more into their own company, to grow their profits. So all in all, I do not think that it makes sense, we should try to stay away from this as much as we can, do not discuss what is better, specially not at bitcointalk because many would say bitcoin, pick which suits you personally better.

Aside that that there be a need to physically protect gold investment or none taxation also what makes bitcoin more valuable than gold specifically is the fact that gold investment needs at least two to three years for the investment to amount to significant gains on it investment and which is what is not present with bitcoin because of bitcoin volatility makes it easy for bitcoin investment to make gains faster than gold and if the uptrend market vibes continues it may make 5x profits making more than gold if kept for the same number of year's.

But then also if one is looking for diversicifiaction of you hold bitcoin already then I will say that gold is best internantive investment to bitcoin.

The best way in my opinion, don't force them to continue using just words. Follow them to invest in gold, buy gold as an investment, don't invest in deposits. Talk well to your parents, set aside $20 - $40 for Bitcoin investment and show them the results in the next 1-2 years (we can even invest in Bitcoin with only $5-$10), make purchases every month. Maybe this way they will be amazed by the results of their investment.

I know that convincing someone who is the opposite of us is very difficult. One way is to prove it. It's normal for parents to behave like that because they were born in a different era and tend to find it difficult to accept change.

These are good tips that you give that even if you gradually save Bitcoin through the dollar cost average, after 1 year, if you do 10 dollars every week, that is a big thing, which in a month is around 40 dollars, and in 1 year it will be around 480 dollars. What if the price of bitcoin increases by 5 next year? Your 480 is only x5, so it will also be 2400$ after 1 year if bitcoin increases by 5 from now until next year, right?

This is the good thing when we apply DCA to Bitcoin or other crypto currencies; it is really a big deal to all the crypto community investors who believe in Bitcoin and crypto investment.

If you are investing in bitcoin and you don't see any returns, you will need to be extremely knowledgeable about the market and be willing to wait.
People that invests on Bitcoin that didn't get to see their returns are the ones who have invested at the peak and never been patient to hold it until it goes back there.

I've heard a lot of stories that they're like that.

The greatest digital assets to choose are gold and bitcoin, which are safe options as you may sell them whenever you want. There are buyers everywhere.
Let's say that Bitcoin didn't worked for that guy who invested at the peak, he's still got the option to buy gold and much better with real estate. With the latter, they are assured that their money is going to appreciate over time.
