Never heard of the show Billions and BTC and crypto being mentioned in TV shows and movies and is nothing new. Mr.Robot, Dope etc are just some of the shows and movies where it has been mentioned before.

There are more known tv shows/movies where bitcoin showed up just like in Deadpool by Marvel, you cannot see it with a first glance but looking to it in more detailed way you'll be smiling when you see the bitcoin logo in the background of the bar, and it's safe to assume that the bar basically accepts bitcoin payment.
Never observed this though I have watched the Deadpool movies multiple times. I don't think something barely noticeable would create any impact in this case whatsoever.

Love it when bitcoin is mentioned on TV! Normally it’s in quite a negative way, but this little segment definitely promotes it . Happy dayz

Definitely a win! We're so used to bitcoin being mentioned as something used illegally. This episode is once in a blue moon, I hope more of this in the future. I guess the writer is into bitcoin? or is he/she is just fully aware of what bitcoin is? but still, that single simple question can make others think twice too! Aheks.

this will add another good advertisement for our Beloved Bitcoin and having this exposure is more meaning of popularization .
That is the easiest way for some people to attack Bitcoin. If not the intrinsic value, they will ask what is backing Bitcoin or its value? What does 1 Bitcoin represent? How does it acquire value when it is just an online currency?

even what the show means here?the important thing is they have mentioned Bitcoin, remember that even if that is a Bad publicity still it is a publicity.

Look, dude, what is your money? A piece of paper? A toilet paper has more intrinsic value than a dollar bill.

It's typically how people perceive things that they have less knowledge about. Once they understand why it was made for and what it could bring to society, it's worth to have Bitcoin, for sure. Just like what happened in that TV show, the lack of understanding or the view with what currencies are is the reason why people take Bitcoin negatively at first. I think educating people would be the best idea for inviting people to become enthusiasts as well.

Bitcoin is everywhere on the internet, many bloggers have chosen to promote their blog by making bitcoin a hot topic of discussion, in schools students gather round and discuss about bitcoin. And now that the halving is close, I think nearly anyone who has connection to the internet and data must have heard about it(the halving)and in the process bitcoin. Bitcoin being mentioned on TV(which isn't the first time)is no different from all this other mediums and that billions of people over the world have heard a thing or two on it

Nice new OP, it is really good to hear that bitcoin or cryptoworld has mentioned in the TV show because it shows that bitcoin is being known by many countries all over the world. Bitcoin becomes so prominent in a way that most of the people tend to use it anywhere and anytime and if this things continue to happen, there would be more miners, investors and traders of cryptocurrency which will affects the price of the bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.
In addition to that, here[1] our some of other Bitcoin scene in television shows.

First one was aired on January 2012 when bitcoin worth $33. Damnnnn!

Well said mate, its good you found out that news. It was really great reading and watching TV shows related to cryptocurrency, which makes it more popular over the world.
Not only bitcoin but also cryptocurrency as a whole has been mentioned in a lot of shows and even movies now. And I think it's good since it can inform people about bitcoin and crypto. This is like a simple promotion or advertisement for bitcoin although not all shows or movie that is mentioning bitcoin and crypto is always positive.

But with this, it can really gain attention from the viewers of a certain show. Since bitcoin is still at the phase of mass recognition, I hope more positive insights about bitcoin will be mentioned on TV shows. We tend to see a lot of negative sides of bitcoin or crypto on TV but there's also way more positive aspects it can bring us.

I guess small things like this could impact largely to the community, it is really appreciating when you see a thing that you've been in for a long time in television, that hits us very good.

Woww, never knew bitcoin had some exposure on national televisions those days. And I am guessing you did not trust the system enough to buy enough to hold. I heard about cryptocurrencies in 2014 but did not give it much attention till 2018. Sad I guess I missed the glory days already Embarrassed

Nobody missed the glory days because it was in the presence of those who knew about it then but they didn't have the drive to invest then. As we are now, some other coins that is not bitcoin would leave their growing and cheap stage in the next five your. Then , they could run into hundreds while still under a dollar now. Is about the mind to believe in cryptocurrency.
