I have seen those rings before... Oh yes, it is the toy gift you found in the Lucky packet, back in the days... or the small toy you find in a Christmas Cracker.  Roll Eyes

I am very cautious after buying some jewelry with Bitcoin now... The seller said it was 24ct gold and when I tested it, it was gold plated... covered with epoxy to make testing difficult. So.. be careful.

Not all ideas are good ideas...

Too bad, because I could use a replacement wedding ring. I destroyed mine in a freak lawnmower accident last spring. (My finger was undamaged :-)

I don't like the shape Sad I thought it would be a ring with a round Bitcoin logo on the top of it, or maybe just some text related to bitcoin around the ring.

Yes, it should be a B sign of the bitcoin wedding card and also it should be golden in color so it gives the color of gold.
Seeing Bitcoins in Wedding rings really make us happy for sure.

So maybe we should've seen this one coming considering somebody recorded the details of their marriage on the Blockchain.  Bitcoin wedding rings!
oh dear, its sweet ring Grin i think people will love this, have gold and bitcoin value can be at same time and on one goods, but i dont see any price label on that site,it should be very expensive.
Sure this must be the idea of a person who loves bitcoin as his life. As soon as I saw the thread, I thought the ring may have only the bitcoin symbol. But that's not, it is different and pretty nice.

how many women are there to use Bitcoin? A bride who is keen on bitcoin may feel excited as seeing this, no matter what shape of this ring.

Most women get excited with things of value, diamonds for example.
However, in this case, judging by the OP picture, I doubt any woman would wear that ugly thing.

Yes I agree with what you say. I doubt any one (both men and women) in this world would want a 'QR' code ring as their wedding rings. Oh well ... Unless the person is Satoshi Nakamoto or someone who is crazy (yes 'crazy') for Bitcoin.

I appreciate the idea & every bit of news/publicity for bitcoin is a good thing but damn that is one ugly ring.
Wedding ring or even normal ring I wouldn't wear that, it's hideous.
Looks cheaply made & tacky.
Sorry guys but this gets the thumbs down from me.

Yeah for merriage you should not have to gift a ring of recorded details but of the coin of Bitcoin, the ring will be more attractive and precious if he weld/stick a  physical bitcoin in the ring.

I don't like it personally. Call me old fashioned but this ring is plain ugly and I would be feel strange wearing something like this on my finger everyday.
I love bitcoin but there is borders how far your love for cryptocurrecies can take you and I feel this ring is only good for exhibition, and not meant for wearing at all.

I like it. I have considered a similar idea for my girl friend in which the transaction or private key of a message and/or address is engraved in the inside of a ring. But she is not nerdy enough to accept such kind of proof of love  Cheesy

It would have been better if it were a round shape. It looks too bulky.I would have preferred a wrist ring with QR code in this shape instead

Yes i think is best design for that is round shape and gold plated on i think if your wedding ring is like that no one will wear it cause its kinda weird and. The design is square. It can be use on punching people.

My friend is planning to ask his girlfriend to marry him. They both live in Melbourne, so the whole asking process (dinner, candles, love, Sinatra) is going to be there too. He's kind of victim of procrastination, so he haven't even bought an engagement ring yet. Any ideas where to buy a good one there? He doesn't want just to buy it, but to choose a diamond, design and other things all by himself. I know abou this http://www.kushdiamonds.com.au/ company, any other ideas? It's cool to have a choice, you know. We should enjoy all the advantages of capitalism  Grin So, in the long run, I just want to kno if anyone can suggest me&him any good jewelry stores in Melbourne that offer hand-crafted rings.  Huh Thank you in advance!

Creator of the ring here! First of all, check out the latest version of the ring at TheBTCRing.com, made in silver! It looks MUCH better than the original.
Make sure to check out the youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tMetT6-dxc

Also, this made *****ENGADGET*****!

This was made the for Coinbase Bithack. Yes, this project is serious!

-snip-

I am currently working on a 3.O version that looks even better!

You are right, those look A LOT better than the original in OP.  The original one looked really tacky, but the silver ones look pretty nice.  I wonder how well they will be received though, because most people want to show off the value of their ring with the big diamonds, but this ring has to be scanned to see the value.  Anyways, it is cool idea!

Way better than the ring OP posted. The ring OP posted looks like a plastic toy. And you can't really wear that with anything. Anyhow, this other ring really seems cool. And it's not just that. It's already cool looking and at the same time very functional. I dont mind wearing a ring like this. Really an amazing idea you got here. Hope it works out.

It's a marvelous idea! Actually the value of such ring might be a lot more than of those thin golden rings with tiny diamonds. Show off is OUT and hidden value is IN today. I wish more people understand this.

http://nfcring.com/bitcoin/

Could be used as well.
I like the vintage ring best as it has a rather sophisticated feel to it.I would love to see more jewelry for the Bitcoin lovers to give to each other. I can see many basement nerds proposing to their Beloved's with a bitcoin ring.Could be quite cute I think!
