Not everyone like the QR code in a wedding ring. In my opinion, it's really ugly, if i use such ring to propose my wife, i may be refused.  Grin
BTW, she is not a bitcoin fans.

That is because the one in the OP is ugly.
Of course you will get turned down.

Try to propose to her with something like this:

Are those diamonds?   Roll Eyes

This one looks a lot better the one op had looked like a toy.

how many women are there to use Bitcoin? A bride who is keen on bitcoin may feel excited as seeing this, no matter what shape of this ring.

True, very true.

Looks fancy to me. I imagine it would be worth something if there's really tons of bitcoin in that account and I'm sure ladies these days are particularly interested about how much wealth you have to offer. And that's bitcoin in there.

It's looked good. I think the shape is doesn't matter, if the wallet had many bitcoins  Grin
Your prospective wife will accept you as her husband, if she is a bitcoiner too

However, in this case, judging by the OP picture, I doubt any woman would wear that ugly thing.

Well I have shown my girlfriend this ring picture and she is attracted to it. Most women only wears jewelry from gold or silver but some women like things to be different. Actually it is not ugly at all but it can be better

You could have two seperate rings.. The one has the QR Code for the Bitcoin Address and the other the QR code for the private key. The Passphrase could be something only you and your partner knows.  Wink

So the story goes.... Both of you contribute monthly to this Bitcoin address to save up for a 10 or 20 year anniversary gift or holiday or a second honeymoon.

When you have these rings made, nobody knows the Passphrase, so it should be relatively safe.  Wink

Sounds like a good idea.  Grin Grin Grin

If you have the private key you know the address as well.
If you have the address, that's all you got  Tongue

You can separate the private key into half to both people. Therefore without each another, you cant never access the walle even if you know the address.

I appreciate the idea & every bit of news/publicity for bitcoin is a good thing but damn that is one ugly ring.
Wedding ring or even normal ring I wouldn't wear that, it's hideous.
Looks cheaply made & tacky.
Sorry guys but this gets the thumbs down from me.

You don't understand. The ring was never meant to be a wedding ring. It's just that somebody thought it would be a cool idea to call it so.

http://nfcring.com/bitcoin/

Could be used as well.

this look vastly better, and i could see it used more then the one in the OP, but maybe reduce the qr code a bit, or it would cover to much the ring

Indeed, the ring in the OP should not be 3D printed, but atleast made out of gold with a more subtle QR code. Engagement rings should be nice to look at, not be a monstrocity.

in my own opinion, rings like this should be made like a tech geek tool rather than a formal wedding ring Cheesy
