After a very long term the continuous price rise is happening. We cannot expect this to continue for a long time. Only if this gradual rise continues till the end of 2017 we might experience $3k-$4k.

it looks like it is a difficult thing. which I believe is enough to break the bitcoin 1000USD. but with bitcoin nothing is impossible. bitcoin is unpredictable. bitcoin is sensaional and it could possibly be reached.

this time if the price continues this way of slow rising and keeps the volume up i would expect the price to hit $1000 by the end of 2016 and the amount of publicity and news this huge rise brings to bitcoin can easily push the price up to $2000-$3000 in a year after that which makes it to the end of 2017.

It's a bit optimistic, but in my opinion, not totally impossible.

We are having actually an uptrend despite of mainly negative coverage in the mass media. Many are talking about "the blockchain", but not more about Bitcoin. There are even a lot of new Bitcoin obituaries Wink

When media coverage turns to positive again, the price can get up significantly in a VERY short time. We have already experienced that many times, and I'm not only talking about Willy's activities.

But I don't expect it this year. 2017 - it's early, but possible.

A bit optimistic? We haven't even touched $1000 again. Wink Reaching $1000 cost a lot time as there has to be plenty of buy support and perhaps an ongoing rally to push the price above that level. Reaching that price is just a first step. Step 2 is even much more difficult, and that is maintaining that price level.

Bitcoin will hit $3k-$4k by end of 2017

I wish man, at that point I'd definitely be ready to sell a good amount of my cold storage coins. There would need to be some significant news to enable a rise like that.

Its one thing to assume all these prices.. but lets just see the buy orders across on most of these exchanges 1st lol.

But anything after hitting $1k, would be always nice to promote more potential growth.
Reaching such a big amount within one year is highly impossible, but the nature of bitcoin is that we can't predict its price value, so may be in future after seeing the halving and user adaption we can finalize whether it will hit or not.

$k is too much for the next year...It needs a tough investor to make the price increase that high next year..With just speculation from its users, I don't think that it will happen...

It needs a few billionaires splurging on bitcoins.... I don't think that will happen.
The hype about halving will not take it into 4 digits.

It's already nice if we see the price maintains anything above $500 after the halving. Everything higher than $500 will be a nice extra for us. But this all is only speculation. No one knows what will happen between now and the time the halving takes place.

with the recent changes in price and also the huge news about steam i think $500 is only a small rise away and we will see it soon, and it will be stable even before the halving.
so i am expecting a much bigger rise out of halving now.

That is only possible if Bitcoin is going to jump but we all know that it will not happen soon because you see that the value keeps stable for a long time so it is hard to let that happen.
The halving will also not be that good for Bitcoin so we have to wait a longer time I think.

Again. every price suggestion over 600 is just wishfull thinking. We all know it. Anticipating on it will just make you sad. Remember there is no reason to hype it.
Bitcoin is doing good already.

I don´t think so. Even I don't know whether the bitcoin price will achieve the $1000  level again or not. But I will be very satisfied with an approach to the $800 level.
The bitcoin Price may reach $1000 this year for sure but more important thing is that it remains stable at something between 600 to 800$. If this happens it will be a great success.

Agree. A sustainable price around $800 this year would be a huge success. Therefore the price would have almost doubled compared to the actual.
That would be amazing.

We are expecting more than double the price.

I think its impossible right now but we don't know what will happen after halving maybe it will happen..
I have my own speculation and i think it should be happen the price will gradually increase from 400 into 800 usd and it will decrease back to 600-700..
This is just my speculation but i dont really know what will happen after blockhalving..

"I see a spike to $1500-$2000 by halving" I very much disagree with you on this one. I think by halving maybe 500 and a few months after 550-600 maybe.

I think it's more likely to see the price find a stable point at $600 than at $800 within 2016. Maybe that we can see the price be stable over $800 somewhere in 2017 as that's more realistic to happen within that time frame.
