40x in just a few years? That will be 400k and that is very unlikely to happen, I cannot ruled it out completely but at the same time we need to be realistic, that kind of price increase is not happening unless bitcoin becomes adopted by a huge amount of the population around the world and while bitcoin is slowly becoming more popular that is still not close to happen.

You are absolutely right here — it is impossible to compare something very material (as gold, for instance) and virtual (here we are talking about Bitcoin).

I believe that bitcoin is going to actually grow after all this issue is over. We need wide adoption before bitcoin will make a steady progress. We should not look at the current happening as if bitcoin has been trip and it could not make progress again. I believe bitcoin has a bright future and I encourage people to invest in it. We should not invest in bitcoin because we expect to make profits but because we have in mind to invest in the future of mind.

Bitcoin will always follow the law of supply and demand. By 2020, the mining rewards will be halved which means supply will lessen and its price could reach uncharted territories. I hope so, I’m not planning to buy any more bitcoin’s, I’m happy with my stash so would really like to just see the price recover to the mid teens at least. I feel uncomfortable seeing the price hover around $10,000.

They have been backing bitcoin and I am not surprised they are really bullish on the digital currency. The big guys are seeing what the paupers are not seeing and at the end, some will keep asking why the rich dudes keep getting richer and the poor or some mid class are just struggling to survive. It is just in their ability to see what some other set of people who only make noise and generate FUD could not see. They believe that bitcoin is more valuable than gold. I have got also many plans connected with Bitcoins and the possible profits I can get from holding it, but I do not think that this year its price will be extremely high.
But the fact is that we still have some pretty huge chance for growth ahead of us and we really cannot say how long we are going to stay consolidating before we start breaking resistance and testing new heights but I am sure, bitcoin is really going to be worth more than this in the long run.

I completely share their optimism. I have said it today before, and that is me being confident that Bitcoin can become a $10 trillion dollar asset, which is an increase of around 70 times from current levels.
I personally prefer to remain a bit more conservative and realistic in terms of the time frame this will be happening, because this market will experience its ups and downs, but in the very long term, we'll succeed in that aspect.
For that reason I don't understand why people still see the recent correction as something negative. While people here are panicking, smart investors keep accumulating with a big smile, knowing they'll be rewarded big time later.
It may seem normal to us but most persons simply do not have the ability to think long term, they take decisions based only on what feels right at the moment, no amount of explaining will allow us to convince them, that is just the way they think and no reasoning will help with it, this is why they get debt impossible to pay or buy stuff they do not need with credit, they only see the now and the want they are satisfying but they fail to see how those debts are going to be impossible to pay.
