Without altcoin, some people would have very few bitcoins, because many of them obtained the bitcoins mainly by mining different altcoins and selling them for bitcoin in the market.

And the traders also increase the amount of their bitcoins with altcoins, they buy cheaper altcoins which will have the potential to increase in value more than a hundred or thousand percent, and after its pump they sell these altcoins for bitcoin and with a lesser amount of investment they get a higher amount of bitcoins.

Most of the altcoins start with a crowdfunding and with investing (ICO) at most of these funds are accumulated in bitcoin.
By this not only that these altcoins become popular but also bitcoin become more popular because through bitcoin they are investing in another cryptocurrency.

Every altcoin plays a vital part n bitcoin not only as a opponet/compitator but more as a price effector like we have seen whenever btc price gets increased other altcoins got decreased
all have their respective roles in the world of cryptocurrency

Altcoins are a great way to experiment with blockchain technology in a decentralized way and try things that would be too risky with bitcoin. Also, if you are on the right side of the trade, you can make a ton of money from the pumps that happen all the time. Just find a good project and stick with it.

Altcoins are competition, and I think that competition can bring benefits, encouraging improvements in the network.

Altcoins are competition. But after the altcoin implement good features and prove to be successful, the bitcoin also can learn from it.

That is right. I think the bitcoin should learn from other digital coins. But it should act as a pure currency, let third party to implement other features.

Since bitcoin doesn't add new features easily, altcoins can add the new features for test.

And altcoin trading promotes bitcoin trading, to increase the liquidity.

In some ways altcoins help bitcoin, because people need to buy first bitcoin to then buy altcoins and that pumps the price.

I don't think this makes much sense honestly , I mean If you pay Bitcoin that would indeed buy the price (when several people do it) but If you are going to sell it just after that will dump it again and will result in stability of the price... Right?

That is right. Although I do it the other way around. I mine the altcoins and then sell the altcoins to get bitcoin.

It would be exactly what it is today. Maybe even cost less since there would be no copy coins out there trying to do the same thing bitcoin has done. While other altcoins do have value I think bitcoin should and will be the most expensive and reliable

I think that if there is no alt coins then the exchanges will have less profit.
Bitcoin will rise too much (much more that it is now) and early investors will be happy Smiley

You are definitely right, most of the exchange will have less profit. And it will take high the price of bitcoin and investors who invested early will be happy unto it. But late investors will not be happy because the price is too high. So for me bitcoin need altcoin for so many reason to make bitcoin promote quickly. So we need to value some altcoins who are potentials.
There's really no point on having exchangers if there aren't any alts since the only purpose of exchangers would be bitcoin/USD or bitcoin/EUR trading. Bitcoin would pretty much become a stock of itself. So, in the case of not having altcoin trading, that will not affect most of the trader significantly as bitcoin is being traded against fiats most preferably.

If there is no alternative to coins as possible litecoin & dogecoin bitcoin market there would be no demand for the sale value of bitcoin itself is very expensive.
And the rotation of market will become very slow because with altcoins can giving some assist for the rotation of bitcoin in our digital world. and how fast the rotating of currency is very important. that is showing how many bitcoin is absorbed in us.

Bitcoin history showed that who save and invest soon at a coin can collect later the profits, bitcoin has a long road crossed and the opportunity to multiply them are getting lower all days. Altcoin can make anyone rich or able to multiply their bitcoins faster, if were just bitcoin maybe bitcoin would be worthing more then now, but just some people would afford to buy it. With altcoin market we can exchange them to bitcoins, i dont see crypto world without altcoins.

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?

I think it will be the same.It doesn`t matter if there are any altcoins or no.

Altcoins exist mostly because of cryptocurrency speculators who manipulate their prices.

Only bitcoin has a large user base.
