If altcoins didnt exist i suppose all the money present at crypto market would be only at bitcoin, but others altcoins joined bitcoin offering each one something good and useful, the thing is without bitcoins others altcoins wouldnt make any sense. And one thing the developers from others altcoins for sure dreams and keep dreaming with their coin one day grow such as bitcoin made.

Altcoins helped more people get into the crypto world, people that sooner or later also became bitcoiners.

Altcoins had also advertising (remember DogeCar?), which also helped bitcoin.

Some altcoins bring innovation, which may become useful for bitcoin too someday...

They do dillute the market indeed, but not that much...

I think altcoin is just quick way to earn profit for developers, traders and short-term investor.
Most altcoin are failure, scam or just a clone.

Only few altcoin which bring innovation or awareness about cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin might have not reached such a state if there is no altcoin to compete with it. Now altcoin is growing high which will soon make bitcoins grow.
you're right, I do not know what would happen without altcoin bitcoin, which clearly altcoin able to make bitcoin prices to be high, perhaps without altcoin bitcoin into something useless

bitcoin was created before any of the altcoins that we know today. so any altcoin exists because of bitcoin and copying that idea. but also they are an alternative way of investment which only affect bitcoin amount that we all have.

I think altcoin exist because bitcoin getting popular.
But I think because of altcoin exist, bitcoin's value getting lower and unstable than usual

I think Ether recent price jumpis affeting on bitcoin in terms that the investors are going to invest in Ether but i think they will come around and go back to bitcoin
Obviously,so many trader do trading in order to make a profit and gain some bitcoin, most of altcoin is just being used for trading not for a payment processor, bitcoin still the king

Yeah.. if trader can predict altcoin value especially if you can analyze multiple altcoin, trader able to make multiple profit also

Nothing important really. They mostly just come and go, so they carry little effect with themselves. But they do promote use of Bitcoins, if people are buying them with Bitcoins,

altoin is such a sugar in the coffee. it only adds sweet taste. or we can say like complement. if they don't exist, the price of bitcoin will increase, then people only collect bitcoin so it will be harder to get bitcoin

IMO each altcoin's purpose (or at least the first purpose of it) is to make money out of the price rise (pumps and dumps mostly) and all other purposes are secondary to that.

I like Bitcoin a lot, but altcoins serve a purpose too. Only for the sake of "cheap mining" POS coins are a good alternative IMO (buy some with BTC, and make them stake interest). But beyond that, there are other functions as well (faster transfer, more anonymous, possibility to send smaller ammounts.)

I'm pretty sure that the price of Bitcoin would be a lot higher than it is today, but I'm still glad that we do have altcoins alongside Bitcoin.

Crypto landscape with only one coin would be kind of boring. Furthermore alts are good for testing, research & development and innovation of new features which could be implemented in BTC if usefull. Therefore alts have a right to exist imo.

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?

Bitcoin doesn't need alt coins for the block process or even any steps.
Alt coins need btc at least for "development" of the idea.
I think btc value couldn't be better of this with or without alt coins.

if there is no  alt coin I think bitcoin price will rise, but i prefer there are few alt coins that appear like doge or litecoin, its making bitcoin cannot monopolize the economic

so i think its better to have alt coin, its keeping the balance of crypto currency value

I think its difficult if bitcoin only without Altcoin. BTC maybe become scarce and expensive as it has only fixed? allocation. With altcoin as an option or alternative it can minimize the btc prices.
Do you think that price of random altcoin will be major factor influencing bitcoin price? I highly doubt that.
If bitcoin will become really expensive in the future then you won't be buying 1 BTC but instead 0.1 or less.
There are some potentially good coins in those altcoins and that may or may not influence the bitcoins price directly but might move thousands of btc into that coins. The recent ethereum pump is a good example for this.
If bitcoin become really inexpensive then you will be buying hundreds of btc's,it is no realistic speculation.

I dont think that Bitcoin without Altcoin can any affect the Bitcoin, ya but without Bitcoin Altcoin are going to get affected as the most of the coins are converted to Bitcoin at the end so the value of Bitcoin will Affect Altcoin only.

I think that having this flurry of activity in the Altocin arena is actually good for bitcoin. Why would I say that? Well it has helped many developers and lay people begin to think utside of the box. Yes many coins are pretty sh*tty to say the least and like in all of the business world you will get scammers as well as good developers. I believe though for the free-thinking world at large having alternatives to bitcoin can only help the bitcoin community in the long term find real solutions to real problems using the Bitcoin technology that has been unleashed.

I don't think any of the altcoins that were created so far had any kind of effect on bitcoin. there is one thing that that might have affected bitcoin indirectly and that is merge mining which miners can use to earn more money on the side so they don't experience loss with bitcoin mining when the price swings down.

but altcoins are not without benefits either. since bitcoin is an open source technology anybody can and did change the code to their opinions and released a new coin which some of them are actually with interesting features.
also altcoins are an excellent way of earning more money (or bitcoin) whichever you choose by trading them in different exchangers.
