ETF approval is not necessary for bitcoin survival. Its just that people has tied it up to a potential bull rally and will dump btc if it does not get approved.

NOTE : Questions from LAYMEN.

bitcoin is made without regulations, is decentralized, and controls everyone who has bitcoin. and in my opinion ETF is a rule that must be passed by Bitcoin. so will Bitcoin fail or die if the ETF disapproves of the bitcoin proposal? while Bitcoin has grown longer before going to ETF.
I think Bitcoin works well without ETFs. Simple ETF is the way the SEC wants Bitcoin to comply to be recognized and managed. They will adopt it in late September

I think if ETFs don't approve and even ban bitcoin, it can cause a shock to the world economy, especially the world of crypto currency trading, I think ETFs are well aware of the consequences, therefore ETF decisions are always delayed and even back out of schedule, maybe looking for the best steps , or take the best policy without causing problems in the future.

Bitcoin dont need ETF. ETF is good for bitcoin but i think its not everything for bitcoin. Bitcoin already work without ETF and growing without ETF. Indeed ETF will bring billions dollar to market but i think crypto should not depending on ETF

we have always had bitcoin without ETF and I personally believe that ETF  may have some undesirable effect on bitcoin  such as taking it away from the reach of the poor. Bitcoin will full be a tool in the hands of the super rich and they have a way of turning things solely in  their favour

Of course Bitcoin does not require ETF. However, ETF will be useful later if the SEC allows proposals for ETF to submit. And I think there will be many big parties coming in if the SEC really approves Bitcoin.

Tried, tested, blamed, still for a decade Bitcoin is going good (antifragile). Like the futures, ETF would be a much better opportunity for the rich bags with fiat to get into bitcoin. It would further establish Bitcoin as a mainstream financial asset when it's a peer-to-peer censorship resistant currency.

You did saw the hype futures brought in December. Something like that would happen have if SEC approves Bitcoin ETF, but temporary/artificial, maybe again some FOMOs would get burned.

Bottom line, why a decentralized network worry about its survival if a centralized proposal is approved or not.
Finally, jeez, somebody who I could agree with. ETF sssssuuuuucccccckkkkkssss!!!!!!  Cheesy

A decentralized network should actually worry about it, when come a situation where the entire network and its purpose could come crashing down. That centralized proposal is more than just a proposal, if you think people will be done with jeopardising bitcoin after an ETF gets approved, oh boy does the community need to know a lot of shit. The US congress openly admitted that they are scared of bitcoin and that bitcoin could take over USD. Now why would they think the strongest currency in the world could be taken down by some cheap ass( Roll Eyes) internet coin?

I think that without SEC recognition by the SEC regulator, bitcoin will continue to grow.
Moreover, the important reason the SEC does not accept Bitcoin ETFs is that the bitcoin market does not have the structural protection and controls needed to support ETF products. This is feared by the SEC because with the increasing population of bitcoin and the legitimacy of ETF, bitcoin hackers will emerge.

The approval of ETFs for bitcoin is an important step towards the adoption of this investment by institutional and qualified investors

Everyone seem's to be relying on the ETF and so forth. Bitcoin reached it's high even before ETF was being discussed.. It is not necessary as this defeats the purpose. The value is already there and it's being used regardless of what a government says about it and for the states to be the deciding factor.. they can shove it up their ass. The people give it value and the people have spoken.

ETF station is important in the history of bitcoin
Must pass without compromising financial freedom
Bitcoin will pass many stations in its history
Until it reaches full adoption.

Nope bitcoin will going to grow more with the ETF implementation. This is the only way that crypto market will going to work well if of course there will be no corruption activities that will going to happen. If ETF will be implemented this will boost the  investors and haters as well to invest in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.

I feel the whole essence of ETF is to drag the price Bitcoin down so that the dons (investors with lots of cash) would get in at cheap rate and later sell off when the price goes up. Before the whole ETF and SEC situation, hasn't Bitcoin survived and done well in the Cryproworld? So I see nothing really special about the ETF and SEC regulations of a thing.

I agree with you, because it is like adopting all the currencies. But in the last few years, the price of bittacquena increased without the approval of ETF and market changes have been achieved. I think it's a loss for ETF.

Bitcoin will still exist even without ETF. People should not be scared of the ETF approval. Although, approving the ETF will be a very great thing. But without it, life goes on with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will always prevail even without ETF because it has shown it standard that it can live and get stronger in almost a decade without any regularise party or mainstream issue and will surely getting better day by day as many adopting it ,so I don't think ETF issue should bother us in trading our Bitcoin.

Bitcoin reached 20k last year without an ETF.  All this hype and talk about the ETF is so overblown, cryptocurency doesn't need it , we are backed by the people.

But then it collapsed due to nothing, and it likely only kept rising due to manipulation, or at the very least all the FOMO from new investors. The market is fickle, but the ETF will at least temporarily cause some excitement and a flurry of new money coming in and that's what we could do with right now even if it's only short lived.

That's got to be from the futures contracts. As soon as they introduced those, half the investing world took short positions on the coin. And then it started to falter...

I think that all of these investment tools are just going to cause more headaches for bitcoin users. Especially if they want to start using a fractional reserve system and start borrowing against the coin for commerce. Bitcoin needs to have a decentralized system of exchange, and all of these other things are not going to help to keep that decentralization.

Can you people understand that bitcoin is bitcoin with or without SEC. They can`t change bitcoin, they can regulate bitcoin, they just making ground for using bitcoin in US. I`m from Serbia, South Europe, so what SEC and their approval have with me? It can affect the price of bitcoin, they can boost usage in US, that will affect the demand. US bitcoin companies will be able to operate legally, they will spread bitcoin businesses, that`s all good, but for US citizens mostly, for all others raised demand is good because that can push price up. As one of the advanced countries with huge economy, adopting bitcoin can be great for all bitcoin owners, and I`m sure they will adopt it sooner or later, if not this year next one for sure.

this question is so silly in my opinion because practically people who are asking it are forgetting that for more than 9 years bitcoin has existed and grown without ETF or anything like it. not to mention that bitcoin is designed to be a currency not an investment so Exchange Trading Funds is a silly notion for it to begin with.
