For any new invention, the early users are normally the beneficiaries. In the case of bitcoin, I am very sure the people who were first to mine and use it are the biggest beneficiaries and have made huge profits from it. If the price of bitcoin was at one time $50 and now it is ranging over $650, then whoever held on the coins from that time must be a rich man or woman. I hope even for us, if we continue holding on it now, we might be rich people in 2 to 3 years to come when the price might probably be above $1000.

Yes it is like the beta testers or beta users. That is why many people are also trying to do that with altcoins. Look at ETH many also trusted that from the start and never given up. Look how much its price now. I guess it will still be on how many years your trust can take.

I had a friend who held his coins from 2012 upto now. He had about 25kBTC from mining and doing heavy programming services from back then. He forgot about it since 2013 and I only reminded him about a few months ago and he's probably going to hold it out even further until maybe the value reaches $800.

Are you sure about 25000 bitcoins? I really doubt that value, doesn't your friend wanna live any life and just enjoy the current value of bitcoin? Roll Eyes

that is not a big number for bitcoin early adopters. there are many who have that much from the early days and many have forgotten they even have that much until recently.

i knew someone who had bought like $10 worth of bitcoin back when it was really cheap (less that $1) and found the coins many years later.
it's remind me to some news which telling me a story about a dude having hundreds of bitcoin saved in his hardisk but endup being thrown to trash and the result,he's losing thousands of dollars, such a shame story lol

You mean proud not PROUND right? I am also one of lucky persons who have known bitcoin, because nowadays only few persons had known this kind of currency. And I am very lucky because I am one of the few persons who have known this. And for me this is a blessing. And I am proud that I am one in the bitcoin communities.

Even new users that bought it gain something out of it. Imagine having luck and you opened your computer and saw the price went so high then sold all your coins. That is just for a manner of time.

Bitcointalk is an entire community dedicated to early adopters who are addicted to finances and technology. We've seen pricing go from $50 to $650 since 2012. A conceptual infrastructure is now a lucrative proven concept because of us. May the next 5 years be even better for your wallets. Bitcoin to the top...cheers!
I believe that we should show gratitude to early adopters. Although they had no certainty of the outcome, they progressed with it. They are the foundations of the Bitcoin community. 3 cheers to early adopters.  Smiley

Cheers.  Don't know if I'd consider myself an early adopter--I guess that depends on how widely adopted bitcoin ends up becoming.  I bought my first coins in 2015.  Glad to be part of the community, although it tends to be a bunch of menstruating bitches at times.  And I'm not even talking just about people on this forum.

From 50 $ to 650 $ in just 4 years, that is amazing. I also think we should be proud on this success and this is huge thing for btc and all people in btc community. What is even more amazing is potential, looks like bitcoin is just on beginning. We can expect higher price, more usage, global adoption.. and many more things, good things to happen to btc.
I think many of us feel proud when we talk about btc, and we share our knowledge to everyone. Bitcoin is still young and there is a long way ahead of btc, I think we just need to be patience and big things will come!

amen!!! i am proud to be one of the user of bitcoin, while every one is standing again'st us we stood still
and made bitcoin the crypto-currency that it is today, i may not have contributed to the progress of bitcoin
i'am proud that proud to the people who nourished bitcoin and made it the leading crypto-currency in existence
I agree on that !!! We are proud of being bitcoiners. Having faith in the cryptocurrency even though many people
didn't believe in it. Seeing the progress of bitcoins in amazing. I guess it will grow even bigger. Great hopes for the future.
Just imagine when one company gets behind bitcoin in the public eye. I know that IBM is testing out blockchain uses. An endorsement from them would be huge for bitcoiners.

Firstly we must proud our self as we are in world of technology and we are with it.

Second thing why should proud our self !

I am personally with bitcoins since from 2008. But it took me 4 years to understand what is bitcoin, how it works, from where they comes and how to use it.

These are general things but what I understand, that must be believable. So it took another two years to understand cryptocurrency environment and actual use of bitcoins.

I think this not small thing.

well what is it with everyone saying early adopters, I wasn't aware of bitcoin and when I got to know it it was already 2015 but I started
To engage in it's world of wanders ever since so I can be considered early adopter as I didn't get in for the increased profit but for the concept and what bitcoin and block chain has to offer.
