Congrats @Trofo for winning the first round, pretty convincingly We will make it harder for you the next one and the next one and the next one after those  

I didn't have quite a lot of info to be honest before the first round and thus based some of my predictions wrongly. For example I somehow didn't remember that Verona's coach is Ivan Juric. If I remembered that I would not put Roma to win 0:2 for sure. There are more examples too, but round 1 was a good learning experience.

Know I now not to put too optimistic scores, it is better to downplay a bit. Like instead putting 4:1 for Milan it would've been much better to put 3:1

Finally, I'm going to get my first point from the pool, thanks to Napoli 2 - 0 win over Parma, I went with exact score initially but then a thought about how Napoli fared in the end of last season made me change my pick to 2-1   

^I’ve done mine too, for the first round I have not predicted any draw, and I think that we will see lot of goals been scored

For those of you who already joined - make sure to enter your picks. I can see that only 4 of us did so already. There is 11 participants so far in the pool so it looks like this one will be a bit smaller but that means more chances to win something

First of all you are not late for Serie A pool since the games start on 20th September which gives you more than enough time to pay the fee and make the picks. I am also running La Liga pool which starts tomorrow, and hilariusandco is running Premier League pool which starts in two days.

Rules/details are same for all the pools.
1. Superbru is not the gambling site it is just a place where we put our predictions and get points for that. Gambling part is done here on the forum where you have to pay buy in and if you do good well you get prizes at the end of season. Check OP for more details
2. You have to predict correct scores for all the games in the league. If you manage to get correct scores that gives you 3 points, if you manage to get just winner that gives you 1 point, close scores give you 1.5 points
example:
you predict Roma - Juve will end 1:2; if the game ends 1:2 you get 3 points, if the game ends 0:2 you get 1.5 points and if the games end 0:4 you get 1 point. If Roma wins or the game ends up as draw you get 0 points
3. Superbru automatically calculates the scores for us and we use it as a base to pay out the rewards.

It is actually very simple once you start playing, you just give your best to enter the scores for the games Superbru asks you every week and everything else is done automatically. Hopefully, I managed to explain it well enough and you decide to join

I've been playing a little bit on the friendlies and not doing well at all, not that it's anything to go by!

Have a feeling we'll see quite high scores in some games, and then a couple of 0-0s in the first week. I'm still playing around with my picks though, hope Atalanta retains their momentum but personally want to see Lazio pushing for it with a very fit Lucas Leiva bossing the midfield!

Basically the names of the teams you mention are familiar in my memory and in my ears, there are so many promoted teams that can last a long time in Serie A and not and the teams you mention are only Crotone who are the promotion team this season, the two promoted teams next are Benevento and Spezia. I personally don't analyze too much for a correct score prediction because it's a tough job for me, because even though we can only put in place who won I think that's good enough.

Same thing for me, I've been put of the loop in general lately and only know basic stuff about major teams, while I'm mostly in the dark when it comes to some teams that used to be great before and now suck like Udinese and such. I will probably have to do some reading before the first round to learn more.

I thought that Serie A starts this weekend together La Liga and EPL, but it will only begin on 19th. Plenty of time for me to make reasearch before making predictions. I haven't folllowed Serie A that much, except top games. Names like Verona, Cagliari or Crotone don't tell me much, I can't name any their players. So, I have to check squads of teams, last season results, transfers to get better general image.

Superbru will always inform you with picks you need to make in any changes. And, from the Dashboard, you will be alerted how many picks you have to make in the next 24 hours and next 72 hours (there will be an exclamation mark in red to alert you). PLUS you will get an email with a direct link to make your picks.

That happened last season with Champions League rescheduling, so no worries about that!

Apparently Spezia have requested their game from matchweek 1 to be rescheduled because they didn't have enough time to prepare for the new season. As you know they had to qualify via play-offs in Serie B. Here is a google-translated quote from lanazione.it

If the game is postponed suddenly it is maybe good not to lock your picks. For instance game could be postponed because one team is in quarantine an hour before the match and moved months later. If you don't lock the pick you will be able to change them again when the game is actually played.

Newbie question here, if a match is postponed or delayed, when should we make our predictions, as scheduled, or we can do that later (whatever date that match is moved to)? I'm just new to Superbru and don't want to make any major screw-ups. 


Atalanta and Inter are likely given more time than the rest of the teams because of their CL/EL campaigns last month. Which is the third postponed match though?
