the only thing i can say for bitcoin potential is that we are far far away from reaching the begining of it.
for years bitcoin has to be adopted, improved and go up in price before we say now it is some small percentage of its potential.

We all know that bitcoin has an incredible potential.. i do not understand why you all are posting in here because we all know the real potential that it has.

Probably if we didn't knew that we were probably not in here, so stop replying to this thread because it is full of spam in here.

It has already been answered before.

I think Bitcoin has big Potential, and at the same time has big Risk.

Potential to be the Virtual Gold, and Virtual Dollar.

Risk is that Bitcoin may be replaced by other “better” coins, because of the next technology upgrades. Of course there are few possibilities in the several years.

Right now is a bad time for Investing in BTC as the network is congested from many days now. It has been weeks since the transaction rates are high and the confirmations are taking too much time. It has been high time now and the problem of congested network with high fee has to be solved now. So unless the Lightning network is not full established and running successfully I don't think there is any reason too invest in BTC since the issues will create more problems in the market and it gives a risk of price drop in BTC.

I used to have different views on bitcoin, but I now honestly think that we're in a huge bubble. So much stupid people investing just for the sake of money itself. Once bitcoin stops growing in price... *pop*

I agree that Bitcoin is hyped at the moment and the price reflects that. There will be a correction soon and the noobs will see what that's like. Bitcoin will go down in relation to fiat currency and people need to get out of the mindset that Bitcoin is a commodity that should be valued against their local fiat. Bitcoin is a currency unto itself and once that's realized then the price against a fiat currency will become irrelevant as it should be. Every currency in history has these swings in the nascent stages, once the mindset matures of the people using it then it will show its true potential.

The noob investors will most likely panic once a correction happens or even when the price dips even just a little. I have noticed that most people don't know that the bitcoin price frequently goes up and down and is very volatile. In fact, not most people understand bitcoin at all yet they choose to buy and invest on it. People are already convinced that it is a bubble yet know nothing about it's market capacity and other features about bitcoin, therefore failing to see it's true potential. The high price has simply attracted them.

I think in the future, bitcoin will have the potential to the world economy and the national state, and also with the many countries that legalize bitcoin, it will reduce unemployment and improve development.

It looks like there's a lot of people underestimating bitcoin potential. Though we can't blame them because maybe they we're just afraid that bitcoin will pop. But i still believe bitcoin could make some serious waves in the world of finance. Its continues growth is already a big potential that can make people have a better lives.

Yes! And i think that Bitcoin price has the potential to hit over $50,000 in 5years years, which would mark a 2,600 percent rise from its recent level. The currency’s potential for anonymous transactions made it particularly attractive on the market generally and it obvious that we may expect more improvement.

This would be a good topic for you all, I just want to know your insights about bitcoin's potential in the future. Any opinions about it?

we are already looking at full potential of bitcoin today , this is coin that sell for 0 dollar and today many people in world have pay 19 thousands dollar for this same coin . so we have already seen potential maybe you are ask if bitcoin price continue rise ? this one i cannot say because impossible to judge but there is one thing i can say it for sure is what will go up must go down too and price has already gone up , so now next thing is for price to go down . still this one does not phase me
but it may ruin some pppls who they are buying today instead of many years ago

I don't know if Bitcoin is going to have a place in our future, I just don't think I can see governments allowing Bitcoin to thrive by not allowing regulation that would hamper the growth of Bitcoin. It's unlike Government, and they'd be going against the ways that they've put themselves in for hundreds of years. A strong federal government doesn't want to give up power, nor does any sort of government.

Bitcoin is a big fuck you to the establishment and it relies on us, rather then some greed crooks. I think gov will try to kill it, and I think they may.

There is no online payment methode in the future except bitcoin and altcoin. Merchants will accept cryptocurrency but only in deceloped country, I din't think that people in developing country is ready to adopt cryptocurrency.

I think bitcoin will end up being the cyber equivalent of gold it has a great potential. it's like a reserve form of money, it's like gold, and it's just a store of value. As Thiel said it hasa great potential! But for now it is not easy to say a certain thing about bitcoin's potential.

Bitcoin definitely still has potential. Currently though? Not so much as I'd hate to admit.. I miss those days of freely moving bitcoins over multiple wallets without waiting more than an hour. A week goes by and the transaction queue is still heavily congested. We need a scaling solution asap. I'm still currently hoping for the best with lightning network, but if it sort of fails, I personally think we're going to get a huge hit in price, temporarily.

If the business news headlines can’t give you an idea on bitcoins potential, I don’t know what will. Check on other topics on this forum. We’re beyond potentials now, cryptocurrency is on its way to becoming mainstream.
