Spurs doing a Spurs & choking at the end of a season, it happens every single year Grin
In other news I have 2 tickets for the CL semi final 1st leg at Anfield for Liverpool vs Roma, had to pay a tout £500 each for the tickets. Staying in Liverpool next Tuesday & Wednesday with the Mrs.

I’ve booked a hotel in Boryspil which is 40 minutes away from the stadium for the CL final (it has free cancellation so if we get knocked out I don’t get charged. I was hoping to get a hotel in Kiev, like a mainstream, chain hotel but they’ve all gone so I’m going to be in a bit of a shit hole. Not ideal in a country like that Cheesy

@hilarious: I never took you to be this good at EPL... that's NOT backhanded!

What makes you say that?? I've always thought I was pretty good at getting them right overall, but I didn't expect to be first. It's too close at the top still so I'm not sure if I'll stay number one but I guess a top five spot is almost guaranteed now. I've been weekly betting on the Premier League since 2014 and have been in profit every season so far, but I don't really bet on correct scores and usually just do three team accumulators on correct outcomes.

Seemingly only unyil got any points at all last night and even got the score right. I actually had 1-1 down but then changed it to 2-1 for some reason and kicking myself that I did because those 40 points would have been a nice boost especially seeing as nobody else got any points at all.

I wonder how many users forgot/missed it and didn't put any score in at all?

That's why I meant it as a huge compliment. Even when I've been overall profitably with sportsbetting (in the EPL anyway), it's really just down to moneyline and parlays, over unders, handicaps. I've never really been good at exact scores, and actually never really saw anyone any good at it. Your scores speak for themselves though, that I didn't expect to see.

Hopefully next season we see our stalwarts return, but also to consistently add scores! It is a shame they miss out on weeks (I missed probably only 1 week and the odd Friday and Monday games) but suppose that also gives everyone else a chance to catch up.

P.S. Damned Spurs. I been betting on them drawing so many games and decided they'd win to level with Pool but seems they can't get unstuck.

Damn, seems stephcurry was the only person to get any points from last nights Spurs/Brighton game and inches ever so slightly closer to the top spot  Cheesy.

I had 2-1 to Spurs down so only one goal in it again.

Bournemouth are playing Man U tonight and could be a tricky one to pick seeing as how United lost to West Brom at home last week but were previously on a pretty good run of form. I've made a choice but might change it but last time I did that I lost out on a correct score  Cheesy.

@Supremo: well done on your position, I do hope you make it there. As I said, I am a bit suprised two of the most prolific tipsters in the forum seem to have dropped out of the race, that's at least three weeks CarlesPuyol got 0 (I can't believe that haha) and ajaxmoor dropped off a while ago.

@hilarious: I never took you to be this good at EPL... that's NOT backhanded!

@LFC: other than LFC, I have a soft spot for Newcastle, not least because Rafa's in charge. I also still follow Leeds every now and then? Spurs is probably the only other current "big" team I root for if they're not playing us. Not lately with what I feel is a lot of diving though.

P.S. guys I totally forgot predictions for last night's 1-1 draw... there're more games this week so don't forget, there's 4 up on BBC now.

I love the third position honestly but this week with only 5 games to be played I seriously risk to get 0 points as I have bet again against all favourites. The reason I have done so is because they play for nothing now and many positions have been set. This is a perfect opportunity for places 5-10 to overtake me if they manage great score in this week.

Edit: Now I see the scores and for this week it is impossible for the sixth place and below to pass me.

I’m just going to do mine now - I’m going to risk it & go for some weird scores. I need to be imaginative if I’m going to finish higher than 5th.

Who does everybody support btw, what’s your favourite team?

I’m disappointed to only be 5th in the table but I expect to finish 5th now. I’d be really really disappointed in myself if I finish outside of the paid spots now, even if 5th is only a small amount it’s the principle.

I hope to do better next season.

So 4 more rounds left to go until the end of the season. I think it's pretty much safe to say that the top 5 guys on the leaderboard can't be overtaken unless some crazy exact score combinations pop up in the remaining weeks lol.

I wouldn't say it's over for everyone outside the top 5 just yet and the top 10 still all have a chance. Anyone can have a bad or great week. If users in the top 5 have bad weeks and the ones outside have great ones then things can change quite quickly. There's always only just one goal in a game that is the difference between points. There's been so many times where I would have had a ridiculous score if only one more goal had gone in (or not) and those times where I've barely gotten any points at all. Have a bad run for a couple of weeks and the top ten could be shaken up a bit.

Well, it's not that fun when you gamble on the underdog and get it right only to have the score outdo you. Not worth the 10 points to up-end other people! Referring to my 1-0 Newcastle and Burnley win Predictions! Nevertheless, Liverpool's Tremendous Three gave me my 40 points of the week. My chances of a Top 5 finish are fading away for sure.

@toke I remember not picking ajaxmoor suspecting he would miss predictions but it seems my other horse CarlesPuyol has been missing his predictions a lot too... not going to complain about our sidebet of course. Just think it's a shame some of the best tipsters of the forum can't remember to put in their picks:P

@rickbig: well done!

I had Newcastle 1-0 too but I am also glad I got the 10 points here, closing the week with 100 points which is a good average score when only 4 weeks have remained. It is becoming tougher and tougher at the top. You still have chances to enter in top 5 if you manage to score over 150 points every 4 of this remaining weeks, while this sound impossible it can happen so never lose hope until the end. When I started this competition I though to myself that I am playing this for fun as I will never make it to the top 5 yet here I am and fighting the good fight.

110 points for this week...  Grin two more games...

Wait...  Were you always a global moderator or did you get that status recently...?  And how do you become a mod in the forum?  Just curious...  Not that I want to be one or anything.

Successfully reporting lots of shit posts is what initially gets their attention I think.

60 points I think so far (after the Man City game). Couple of late goals in other games stopped me getting more points.

Meh!

I had Chelsea vs Southampton 1-1 as a draw but then the game took a truly unexpected term.

Same. On 60 points so far so pretty average. Two injury time goals cost me two correct scores in the Liverpool and Huddersfield games. Spurs City game could go any way so not sure whether to back Tottenham on go for the draw.

I thought to not do well this round but I got 2 correct scores and 1 correct result so 90 points is above average for me. Waiting for Tottenham to beat Man.City, I had Chelsea vs Southampton 1-1 as a draw but then the game took a truly unexpected term. I hope to keep my 4th place in the standings for this round as the primary objective of this round.

Southampton 2-3 Chelsea
I bet nobody had that predicted, I went for Southampton 2-1 Chelsea to try & be clever. S’ton are in a relegation battle so I thought they might win, nearly worked out but then Chelsea decided to wake up at 2-0 down.
