A good ideal but having coin than Bitcoin will be meaningless for this to be Bitcointalk forum,I think Bitcointalk has to let's other raise projects targeting the community as altcoins projects do.
Bitcointalk is best cryptocurrency Forum in the world. Huge user use this forum, so i suggest possible to launch bitcointalk own cryptocurrency. when launch possible i believe world most popular cryptocurrency make bitcointalk forum own currency.

Well, it's really not "just a dream" The same thought has been optimized and shared here a few years ago but nothing has come out of it. Some opined that there was no need creating another since this forum was the brainchild of Bitcoin itself, hence the name - bitcointalk. However, I think creating a crypto for this forum will be akin to what cryptotalksworld has with its CTW token by which staff and mods are rewarded with. Though it isn't tradable yet.Note: Just my dream
Having a own crypto currency is one of the good idea too but it takes a lot of time and investments needed before release to the market also we can still stick to it's name the bitcoin because this is why the reason why the forum becomes popular the legendary name and coin Bitcoin.

I think Bitcointalk might introduce a token - it might be token based on Bitcoin, or if to make it easier with free transactions - on some Eosio chain (for example Telos - token creation there is very easy)
And it might be distributed according to merit.
Then, it might be the main token of forum - we already have market here, it can be used also for advertisement, bounty campaigns, tipping, etc.

I just looked at his posting history and it seems like he is unsettled on choosing a crypto to buy. He basically is interested in investing in cryptocurrencies and maybe that is why he is interested in buying a crypto if BCT offered such thing. Clearly he didn't think this through and maybe can be counted as a newbie who post first rather than read anything here in the forum. You can also see in his post history now that he have posted and created topics after this which clearly shows he has no interest in this topic at all.

If you somehow didn't like bitcoin for various reasons, you can always check "grin" out. Both of them are being endorsed by theymos, the forum admin.

What about Merits? It is something that is traded (exchanged <> moved,) has supply and demand, and it has a value that is measured by the willingness of others to pay for it "It is not necessary that this value be measured in US dollars, but rather by the amount of effort."
General, what is the motivation for creating more currencies? Just because the site is popular, is not enough reason to get enough adoption.
Do not forget that the main idea of the forum is central, it is wrong to make a central currency.

I agree if you say that bitcointalk is one of the best bitcoin discussion forums in the world and it is true that this forum exists because of the existence of bitcoin. Bitcoin is made by Satoshi and this forum is a place for discussion and various types of discussion. Is bitcoin not enough or why do we need another coin dedicated to the forum if we have bitcoin?
There is nothing wrong with your dream, but many people might disagree with you and your dream will only become a dream. I think the forum does not need new coins because we all know that between bitcoin and this forum are one package.

you can't really call copycat garbage that has no usages "cryptocurrency". we have barely 5 to 10 real cryptocurrencies if i am being generous and we do need a new one but only if the new one adds something new to this world not rehash the same ideas again for a quick money grab scheme.
5-10 best crypto currency available in crypto market. but upcoming future i hope many other crypto-currency launch in crypto market, just need more time, crypto currency available market only 10 years ago since-2009. so need more time available another good crypto currency in crypto market.
