The match was so thrilling yesterday. The last two overs were breath taking. Seriously everyone was filled with anxiety. The last two balls stunned everyone. Wonderful moment to see when the guy hit six at the last ball and the team cherished the winning moment. So nice to see. I missed this thread earlier. Good to start though in the middle.
Welcome to this thread. Feel free to join the pool too. It's never late :-)

It's free!

Coming back to today's match. Looks like DC will have an easy win. KKR's chances are low if they can not take wickets.

Don't know what's happening in today match. now it's getting more interesting. perfect opportunity for Raydu to get his form back and win match for his team.

Can we see another top-notch performance of Dhoni tonight?
The match is gaining good momentum as Dhoni and Rayudu makes the partnership very strong. Now there shouldn't be loss of wickets to win the game. Easy reachable target is kept in front of CSK, 88 runs out of 48 balls. RR is quite good in its fielding which makes them strong.

Edit: Well the Gill part came true at least - Come on Karthik!  Cheesy
Karthik gone!
Come on. I just placed a bet thinking that both Karthik and Russell was going to play fireworks but losing Karthik definitely will slow down the show.

Rana just fell to a terrific yorker and now my boy Russell is in. Hoping for a big score from him, such a fun batsman to watch.

DC need to roll out Rabada to try and break this partnership.

Now that Gill has made 50 he can slog out and let Karthik come on to score 20 (so my bet comes in!)  Wink

My pick is KKR today. Not sure if I will risk money today but I think KKR should have a comfortable win. Right now they managed to score 72 runs after losing two wickets. If the do well then we may see 180+ runs on the board. Chasing 180+ will not be easy.

By the way, does anyone has any complain about the bouncer rules now. Before if any ball was going to over the head then it was considered as no ball but now they call it wide. And this wide calling actually harm the batsmen. If the ball touch the bat and if the keeper catch the ball then they give out. It looks unfair in my eyes.

KKR v DC today , my chips are on KKR. They might have failed in the previous match against CSK but I am sure they will come back stronger today. Doesn't matter if they win or lose the toss according to me.

KKR 62/1 after 8 overs (despite Ishant Sharma picking a wicket off the very first ball). Surprisignly, the Capitals left out Sandeep Lamichhane and included Keemo Paul in the playing XI. Perhaps they wanted to strengthen their pace bowling department. But things are not going quite well, with Paul conceding 17 runs off his fist over.

So, here is my friendly suggestion as I care about Cloudbet because of your presence, instead of offering low bet limit offer more markets :-)

Hope it helps.

Cheers :-)

On a side note I just put another cheeky bet on Rabada, was just talking about the game over lunch and I just have a feeling he is going to come out swinging today!

@pffrt I owe you. Out of smerits right now.
I haven't cross checked your stats but will do may be in next 2-3 weeks 😁😁 I am sure if we dig deep then we can find couple of more incidents.
Till now, there's no more no ball in last over. I did only check matches which was played till 20th over. Checkimg matches which ended before 20th over doesn't require to check even. It doesn't make any sense.
However, I always had a doubt that some matches in IPL are fixed, I have mentioned it somedays ago too.

Well yesterday's controversy has certainly made me look at the total extras markets for todays game!  Grin

- Over 15.5 (2.14)
- Under 15.5 (1.77)

I'm going with a comfortable win for KKR today, but i'm really looking forward to watching the battle of wits between Russell and Rabada. If DC can bring Russell down early they could be in with a slight chance, as the other KKR batsmen (like Rana) haven't been performing as well as I expected.

My picks:

- Karthik: Total Over 19.5 (1.92)
- KKR Top Batsman: Andre Russell (5.70)
- DC Top Bowler: Kagiso Rabada (3.30)
- KKR Total Runs after 10 overs: Over 76.5 (1.59)

What are you going with for today's match?

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
Hello Ronnie!
Good to see your efforts in this topic and also in the IPL pool. I did visit Cloudbet other day but unfortunately I did not find it much attractive to bet there. The only thing which pulled me back is not having many markets to bet.

I would suggest you (or the team) to add more markets. for reference, visit bet365 and see the markets they offer. Sportsbet also offer similar markets but not as many as bet365 does.

I am a regular gambler and to me having large number of market matters. I am not sure about others but I do feel the others feel the same. When I see many markets it makes me tempted to hang with them.

Funny thing is that - the markets I play are available with Cloudbet but it's the pre setup mind of a customer to have all kind options available in front of them.

So far I played (as I can recall),
Win Lose
Most six
Most four
Six under/over
Four under/over
0 to 6 runs under/over
0 to 10 under/over
0 to 12 under/over
under/over runs in x over
under/over runs in xth ball
Innings total under/over
Best bowler
Best batsman
Toss
Player x to score under/over

I think I have gambled in many more markets too. I can not always remember them.

So, here is my friendly suggestion as I care about Cloudbet because of your presence, instead of offering low bet limit offer more markets :-)

Hope it helps.

Cheers :-)

@juggy you might be right here because everything is possible when money is involved but I can somehow arguably vouch for some players that they may not have been involved in this sport fixing or possibly any fixing at all. Because i know thing or two about betting world locally and experienced it very closely.

Pressure. It happens sometimes. Bowlers usually end up giving up more runs during the final overs of the IPL primarily due to the pressure factor which is why there are very few amazing death bowlers who excel in such conditions.

Bumrah is one such bowler who loves these conditions and almost always bowls economically during such periods.
Certainly I do not disagree with you. In pressure the best one can make mistake. And talking about this IPL (or may be other seasons too), we are seeing in fact most of the matches are turning around. You think team A is going to have an easy win but after match you discover team B snitched the win from team A.

These matches are entertaining to see. Thanks to the franchises and the IPL management team.

Thanks for your time. Only these three matches? That does not add up. Is it only me or someone else also is feeling that we have seen a lot of no balls so far in this IPL and those no balls were costing the teams to lose the winning matches?

I remember other day I was watching a match (not sure which one), I was telling my brother in law that just pray they don't do a no ball. It was the last over and the first ball was a no ball which was punished with a six. And I was telling my brother in law that, "see this? this is what I was afraid off"

I think, it was the match between KXIP vs MI.

I am just too lazy to go to cricinfo and find every last overs of the matches to get the numbers LOL

If anyone can do that I will give them a kiss in their check (a formal one no sexual desire attached lol ) :-P
No kiss is needed.

Listing extra run in last over of 2nd innings (included only matches which were successfully chased or close to chase)

1. SRH vs KKR
Sakib Al Hasan gave wides in first ball. Required 13 runs in last over and Rusell did it.

2. KXIP vs MI
Rajoot to Pollard- No balll and a six from Pollard.

3. RR vs CSK
Stokes to Jadeja, no ball and a six.

There's not much no ball in the last overs.

Check this two recent matches. I am sure there are more matches out of this 25 total matches that has been played so far.
No matches without the two you mentioned. I have checked each match one by one.

Hey I don’t think there’s any coincidence in IPL not any more, it’s a money making league for all associated parties. While there’s no proof for this think logically how does a winnng team suddenly loose match post the break, or the best bowlers of the world suddenly start bowling wide and no balls? Also the amount of money that changes hand during each match is very big, and you think bookies would leave it on chance?
I doubt they will (bookies). They are here to make money. Bookies do not play gamble they run business so they need to ensure that their return of investment is secure.

It really amazed me to spot a lot of no balls which were not needed to bowl.

25th match Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings: No ball # 19.2 by Stoke. Chennai Super Kings won a tight match
24th match Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians: No ball # 19.1 by Rajpoot. Mumbai Indians won the tight match

Check this two recent matches. I am sure there are more matches out of this 25 total matches that has been played so far.

Another day, Another exciting match on IPL.Csk won against RR at the last ball.Ben stokes tried really hard But he conceded six in the last ball.Dhoni played really well, he made 58 from 43 balls which helped the team a lot.

IPL is getting better day by day.We are seeing close matches almost every day. It's the beauty of IPL tournament.
Again controversial last over on yesterday's match,Umpire given no ball for waist high but the leg umpire says it was legal delivery even Dhoni furious for that decision from umpires. But at the end it was a good knock by Santner,Dhoni was given man of the match and he deserved it.

Wondering what would have suddenly effected Ben strokes for bowling 2 no ball and 1 wide in the last over. Was their anything else due to which this was done purposely or was it just a confidence or was a lot of money being involved in yesterday match?

Might be the money involved between umpires and RR team,if it was predetermined then why Dhoni would have to get that mich angry against the umpire for cancelling the no ball.

Lol. You people crack me up. Dhoni decides to check the no-ball and he is guilty for it? You people do realize that this is not the first time that a bowler bowled a no-ball in the final over of this season, don't you?

Think before accusing teams of match fixing.
You are talking about MI vs RCB match's last over which is quite different from yesterday's match.Ben stokes bowled a noball and it has given as noball by one umpire but later said as legal delivery which is not something fishy for you?
I do agree that it is kind of weird, but this is how IPL is usually. The match fixing controversies in the past caused a lot of confusion which is why people might suspect these actions, but pressure can make cricketers do crazy things.

Yeah, I noticed that too in every close clash in last matches. Don't know what to call it plain luck-concidence or spot fixing.

Hard to tell due to lack of substance evidence. But whatever happening in ground during crunch moment is surely thrilling and exciting to watch. Let's just hope that it's just coincidence lol if not then it's fucked up scenario.

Shitload amount of money is in stakes during ipl matches  so everyone should keep their eyes open but not jump into any conclusions without evidence.

I am stuck at work for past couple of days and no access of personal computer for good 2-3 weeks,  Otherwise would love to send all stats but unfortunately I can't do much about that these days. Using phone these days lol and it's really pain to compile all stats etc via phone.

I am sure someone else can look into it closely and post every detail without any bias. We got a good couple of cricket enthusiastic who might able to do that.
