I guess so too , as I type this Robin is out too . Very poor from experienced player , I still expect DK to stick and play innings . Anything under 140 will be very hard for KKR to defend against CSK.

9 for 3. Great start to CSK and if more wickets fall, it will be like the first game of CSK where the score will be below 100. Still time left for them to bowl and after 10 overs if they lose more 3-4 wickets, the game has been won by CSK. Fingers crossed.

Wow that one came down to the wire in the end yesterday! KXIP deserved the win in the end, slightly disappointing performance from the SUN batsmen.

I've gone with a narrow win for the Superkings today, but with Karthik playing in front of local fans he might lift his game and inspire some of the others from KKR to do so too. Both teams have a solid bowling lineup too, hoping to see an entertaining battle of the spinners out there (I've got a feeling Tahir is going to go big today!)  

These are the lines I'm going with for today's game:

- Team w/ top batter: Chennai Super Kings (1.91)
- Super kings top bowler: Tahir (2.98)

Virat just doesn't take the risk which Dhoni used to take and still takes by shuffling his bowlers and setting the field. He doesn't have patience and sometimes comes first in order, second then third but mostly doesn't get the number of runs expected from him. RCB have been bad in bowling and batting and they need someone like Gayle again to give them runs.

To be honest I am not really surprised how Virat handles his RCB team in IPL. I have seen him choking or getting over excited on many occasion when playing Red Ball Cricket or White ball cricket. In shorter format he has Dhoni and Rohit, they keep him on the check regularly, I have mentioned this many times whenever I talk about Virat's captaincy.

I always feel that Batsman Virat overshadow Captain Kohli and his team in every format be it franchise cricket or International. Viart personally believes in giving his 100% when playing cricket and when he doesn't play cricket he's working hard on his fitness and cricketing skills. and he expects the same from his teammates but they are copying his beard style and Tattoo except for cricketing skills. When the team wins then every mistake hide behind the victory but when you are on losing end it looks pretty ugly.

When talking about the pressure of captaincy. he was too proud (or call cockiness) to accept his mistake on many occasions, Read South Africa, England Tour (Red Ball cricket) but now he slowly understanding that every player has a different skill set and not everybody can play like him. the good thing is He plays better cricket as a batsman when he feels the heat and pressure.

There is saying that "If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far go together" that's what he needs to learn from Dhoni if he wants to be great Captain.

There's no replacement of Bravo in Chennai, I think Chennai will suffer for him. Can Mitchell Santner be a good edition? I can't see a better option.

They already have a good number of all rounders in their team:

Kedhar Jadhav: Good with the bat and ball
Ravindra Jadeja: Good with the bat and ball

No need to worry about Andre Russel today because Dhoni already have some strategy to beat him but what the big worry is they are short of a good all rounder.Last match they managed to win because it is in Chennai venue so spinners alone can made them to be win but if they want to win on other venues then they have to find someone to fill the space of Bravo.

Lucky that I was out of bet last night for some reasons of my personal. Otherwise, I would lose because my pick would also be SRH.

Kolkata vs Chennai, no doubt Chennai will win but I am still confuse just because of Andre Rusell. This man can do anything and he proved it for 3 or 4 times in this series, specially the last time. Maybe I will not bet today too, or it will depend on the odd.

Looks like all 3 of us(Ronnie, you and myself) lost the bet by betting on SRH this time. This is the worst round for me so far. Chose my picks for the next round.

Initially i thought the chase was well calculated but then they missed out completely in the last few overs and Rashid Khan always bowl economically and that took the game to the very last over and 11 off the last over made things interesting and the match went down like a thriller after that, a couple of good balls could have changed the match upside down .

19 runs needed from 18 balls. It does not look a hard target. Unless they lose some quick wickets and I mean very very quick LOL

Mayank gone but I don't think that's gonna do anything. Punjab will win very easily.

Punjab should win easily unless they goof up the match and lose quick wickets which is the only way they could lose the match. Else it is an easy cakewalk for the Punjab to win and SRH might be just unhappy with the today's perfomance.

Pathan just missed a catch of Mayank and consider it as the match gone. KXIP need only 34 runs from 25 balls. It's not a big target and I am not feeling today that there will be any drama.

KXIP is winning it very easily.

I am not sure why Yusuf Pathan did not come out to bat as he is a hard hitter and i am not sure what happened with Warner, is it because of good bowling or he was not timing the ball well, i did not watch the match but i was looking at the score board every now and then and looking at Warner in the crease i expected them to score above 170 runs, it looks like Kings XI Punjab will win this one with the way things are going at the moment.

I don't think they are blowing at their best too.
KXIP is hitting the balls very easily where in the SRH innings it looked like that balls were not coming in the bat.

Like you said Warner scored good runs but not at the best strike rate which clearly shows that SRH only relies on the top order batsmen to score runs.If they want to be a chapion side they need to make stronger their middle order only because at the bowling they are best for now.

Nah! from last few days I am really having bad days and also IPL is seeing low scoring matches. I placed a bet for SRH to score over 156.5 runs and lost it. I did the same in last few matches but all lost. What is going on?


I was trusting Warner after Bairstow gone. I thought he will hit the balls hard but he could not. He scored but the scoring rate was too slow. In the whole innings they were only two sixes and guys what, I also have a bet of most sixes for SRH. I am sure I will lose it LOL

Dammit Bairstow, I trusted you! 

Unless SUN start hitting the boundary or KXI fall apart early in the batting order I can see me losing this prediction.

My pick for today is also SRH and I hope they score big so that KXIP don't find it easy to chase.

I hope they score good runs. We need Warner too hit big.
