It was a great battle indeed. I honestly thought Delhi would wrap it up in style through Pant and Ingram, but the way Punjab made them all freaking out and defeated them by 14 runs is nothing short of a miracle and I won my bet.

This is IPL and am loving every bit of it just like always.

KXIP is waiting for a win. The match turned 180 degree :-)

19 runs 9 balls 2 wickets in hand.

Pant and Ingram is batting now and they need 50 more run in 6 overs which seems pretty easy win for Delhi but if they lose one wicket earlier, the match may turn into a drama.

Delhi now requires another 85 runs in 10 overs and 7 wickets remaining. Couple of good overs from Punjab and a wicket , Delhi will come under pressure and batting second is never easy chasing the 167 target. Pant would be the key batsman from Delhi to win it.

I too feel the same that Delhi may win the match however I went for KXIP. It's the previous record against Delhi which triggered me to pick Punjab. I am not betting today so did not check the odd. It's risky for me :-P

If I check I may end up placing a bet LOL

I actually went for Punjab to win the match although I too feel like Delhi have upper hand in this. It's purely because of the odds. It was around 2.5 pre match after toss and that's the type of risk you must take in IPL because you can't tell who will win the match ( except ofcourse if it is not RCB ).

It is possible for Delhi to get to the final four and i was impressed by their performance against Mumbai, since the teams are changed every year i was expecting the low performing Delhi every year and i messed that bet altogether. Today we have Delhi and Punjab and i am expecting a good battle and going with Delhi to win the match as Gayle is not playing for Kings XI in this match.

Yh feeling good after a bad day on the day before where I lost a lot. Today I will take a break coz I know my hormones are excited and I will make mistakes besides I really don't know who will win today.

Well, it is up to you, I can't and don't want to dictate your thought process or strategy. but can show you some stats regarding players and ground as well.

Punjab's Batting :
1. KL Rahul: I don't like him in Test and ODI but in 20-20 especially in IPL he is a stallion breed. he played a fine inning in the last match and not to forget that in previous season he beat the shit out of same opponent's bowlers and end up with fastest 50 of the season and arguably in IPL history ( 50 runs within first 3 overs)

2. Chris Gayle: We all know what this Carribean guy can do with bowlers in his day.

3. David Miller: this guy is dangerous as well

Apart for them, Mayank Aggarwal knows how to swing bat. Sarfaraz is good but don't keep your hope high with this one, he likes to chokes on a crucial moment.

Delhi's Batting :
1. Prithvi  2. Sikhar  3. Rishabh ; No introduction needed.

Skipper Shreyas Iyer, Colin Ingram both are good and very destructive some times. other than that Chris Morris is very useful batsman down the order.

Punjab Bowling:

Shami and Ashwin leading the Punjab Bowling unit. both are key bowlers. Andrew tyre can give breakthrough but sometimes he gives runs( he's Oz version of Umesh Yadav ) Murugan is leggie and kinda new but he did bowl good so far according to his experience.

Delhi Bowling:

Rabada and Chris Morris(if he's fit) will lead the Delhi. both are a foreign player and very good at their roles. Amit Mishra is a very experienced bowler and believe or not he is the most wicket taker in Ipl history if I am not wrong. Sandeep is promising wrist spinner as well and Trent Boult is in backup

So if you look all players stats and recent performance so all of them are on the same level more or less. 20:21 ratio.

I bet on Punjab and I feel that they can win pretty comfortably against Delhi Capitals even though they won narrowly against KKR. They have the batting and bowling lineup to accomplish it. Lets see what happens.

So, it would be wise not to bet today? I'm still thinking of betting for Punjab.

Bro looks like you are not following the Indian team regularly and certainly not following Dhoni. Dhoni is set for 2019 World cup, no one can replace him at the current scenario and he's the key member of World Cup squad.

Today match looks balance if we look at both teams. both teams got a power hitter in their team and bowling looks balanced as well. should be a tough fight between them.

MS Dhoni was always an amazing one. I love his captaincy. There's a lot of proof how he turned a match with his captaincy.

Will it be wise to bet on Punjab today? Current odd is 1.99 for Punjab which is pretty good. What do you think mates?

I agree. RR tried their best and I applaud them for their effort(Especially Stokes and Archer). Those two turned the game around for a while, but props to Dhoni and CSK for winning another one.

MS Dhoni is seriously amazing and am loving his game even more now.

Dhoni is a very tough guy there is no doubt about it, but if he can make in the upcoming World Cup squad or not there is a big doubt. By the way, Kohli is definitely one of the key players for India.

Though one thing what RR made all of us happy is that we saw that they did not gave up till the last and manager to lose the match just by 8 runs. They would definitely be disappointed that they did not won the match but would see that lower order batsman did contributed from the bat as well.

I think Little Mouse was pointing to the haters of Dhoni whom we have seen during Australia vs India series in Australia. People were questioning about his fitness/ability to play more.

About Dhoni Thala, I echo with the rest of the posters and you here that one performance-based selection is ridiculous but Dhoni is the different case because just like you mentioned that he's the top strategist in Indian camp and arguably in World cricket right now. Indian Team can't afford to lose him at any cost even if he keeps continuing failing with the bat to some extent.
