I have no chance I think to be the top three unless I can get margin point in the next two matches. DC is quite popular in my opinion but KKR is having good performance too. I have picked KKR to go final. That will be a good one tonight I think.

@JSRAW
Don't count me in the T20 world cup pool. I'm not going to participate.

Don't know which side i go with today, both team looking good overall. Delhi is more balanced as their batsmen are in good form when comparing with the KKR's batters. Delhi's bowlers are also excellent but KKR bowling stat in Sharjah creating doubt in my mind. DC losing 2 back to back game also not helping.

Our point table is also looking very tight, tough competition here.

Expected KKR to win narrowly and they didn't disappoint me. Narine was amazing. Morgan needs to let the bowlers bat before him since his form has been pathetic in recent times.

As far as IPL trophies are concern Kohli might have failed but he had a big impact on his team and opponents with his bat and charismatic personality. I personally can't forget his ridiculously amazing 2016 stint in the IPL, where he scored like 4 tons and ended up close to 1000 runs.
Agreed. Kohli is a run-machine and has successfully broken many records across all formats. Sad to see him not lead RCB anymore, but it's completely understandable.

RCB came close to winning the cup under him several times over the years, but failed somehow. Wonder who will be the next captain of RCB. Also, I will be joining the T-20 World Cup pool soon.

With this loss RCB is out and it was Kohli's last match as a RCB's captain, at least for the RCB. One would say that auctions are coming soon and some other franchise could pick him but it would be big surprise if RCB management doesn't go after him along with the AB de Villiers. Once again, RCB fans are going to be hurt. I had picked RCB in the pool and had a bet placed of 1 mBTC which seems wasted already. KKR is having an easy win. Vishnu will now lead the pool I guess if KKR wins which is almost confirmed unless team Virat can fix something LOL.

Let us have an update. Once, the thread is created, I will send the entry fee to the pool address.
Thanks JSRAW for organizing the pool.

Sign me up if the fees are around $20. 0.0005 BTC or higher at current rates is closer to $30 which needs to be lowered in order to attract more participants.
Count me in.
I have no problem but lowering the fees would be reasonable I guess as not many would be interested to join if the fee is high.
So we have total 5 participants including Royce and me. I'll create thread soon, later at night.

Pool Fees : 0.00035 or $20

but ofc if anyone want to add bit of extra amount in the pool then feel free to do so.

Thanks JSRAW!

PS : We can escrow money to you?
Yes you can!

To surprise everyone, Chennai qualified for the final by defeating the mighty Delhi Capital. This match was Delhi's favorite. In the first two matches against DC, Chennai batted first and lost both. So Chennai decided to bowl after winning the toss in this match. The target of 173 runs was not an easy target. I would say Dhoni's collection of 18 runs off 6 balls was the most important. He is a perfect captain and perfect finisher.

CSK are through to the finals once again. What an amazing comeback after their horrible season last year. Underestimating MSD is absolute stupidity and he proved why that is a fact once again through his amazing finishing skills.

I liked the part towards the end where 2 kids were crying happy tears thanks to MSD and CSK.

DC keeps choking in the qualifiers as usual. Also, @JSRAW is leading the pool by securing 2.5 points though the difference in points between the top 5 is pretty slim.

CSK is going to final! Ruturaj Gaikwad playing responsibly and probably end up chasing the target. It's 24 required from 12 balls. Ravada & Curran left to bowl.

Edit
Ruturaj gone  Lips sealed I didn’t have even thought Avesh Khan will come into action as he was quite expensive tonight without a wicket and he got the best one now.

The first playoff match between Delhi Capital vs Chennai Super Kings will be played tomorrow. The team that wins will play in the final. Delhi have beaten CSK very well in the two matches they have played against CSK this season. Will we see the same result in the third match?
Kolkata is leading in net run rate. Although they are the fourth team at the table. Will they be able to show any surprises, or will they lose against RCB? What do you think? In the previous match against RCB, Kolkata had a very respectable victory. RCB lost all their wickets for just 92 runs.
My prediction is that CSK will beat DC comfortably and advance to the finals while KKR will win against RCB narrowly. You shouldn't focus too much on past results since this is the IPL where unexpected stuff happens on a regular basis.

For example, I never expected MI to not even qualify for the playoffs at the beginning of the season.
I don't think it's going to be easy for CSK now, they were lookin good made a good partnership but then quick fall of wickets have once again brought DC back in the game but only problem DC have is that CSK has a list of excellent finishers even if the wicket falls Jadeja, Bravo and Dhoni, you need very tight bowling right until the last ball to take away the match, I still think CSK has 75% chance. I don't know if they do it intentionally for the betting market because it looked like a simple win for CSK at one time.

I would prefer if you're running the pool but i do agree majority are not interested in the paid pool. Current lot of IPL participants could join tho.

Pool discussion thread is locked so posting here for our existing participants. If we get even 5-7 participants from here, i think we're good to go for the WC pool.

Didn't know that the T-20 World Cup is starting so soon. Exciting times. The points difference would probably be lower in this pool since most of the participants would make similar predictions making it a more competitive pool.

I just created a pool on superbru for T20 world cup. I would like to give you the link so that you can monitor the participants. Assuming you did not want to go through the hassles of creating a pool. It's actually just a few clicks.

If you want, then I can give a BTC address too for the participants to send the fees. Other than this, you will need to do the rest of the works.
1. Creating a thread for it
2. Dealing with the participants
3. Finding any sponsor
and whatever else it needs.

I would like you to take it over from me for this community if you have interest and time for it, please. I would like to enjoy a pool by just being a particiapant :-D
Okay i can try, i also created pool on superbru, yeah few clicks.
- Will create new thread for the T-20 WC
- No issue managing participants or thread.
- Might be a hard to find any sponsor at this point as we have only 1 week left.

PS : We can escrow money to you?

Intense matches. SRH would require a miracle to win at this point though they are trying hard and I applaud them for their effort. I guess MI will win by 30-40 runs or something and move to the 5th position in the table.

On the other hand, RCB won against DC thanks to a six by Bharat from the final freaking ball. Absolute insanity. However, they will stay in the 3rd position as expected.

Who all saw Ambani batting today?
I did but then came back to my senses when every MI's bowler ended with 9+ ECO, except Boult.

Haha true, I thought SRH would just do their routine performance would slowly and steadily bat and reach somewhere around 130-140 as a decent total and MI would then repent about KKR winning with such a huge margin, but SRH definitely had different plans maybe the pitch was to blame or what but Roy, Abhishek and Pandey batted really nicely, if they would have batted 50% like this in the entire tournament things would have been very different for SRH.

Damn! got to say both matches were intense, not from the plays off point of view but cricket. Very happy to see SKY and Ishan Kishan making contribution and showing sign of form before the WC, now they are unpdropable IMO (before there was slight chance). Before this UAE leg new guy Srikar Bharat was considered pure test player in domestic but i'm sure this perspective has changed today for the good reasons, at least for some.
