RCB have won again and I won my bet by betting on RCB. Thank goodness. First half of the innings goes to Punjab who basically dominated RCB, but the 2nd half goes to RCB who did a splendid job by restricting batsmen like Pooran.

They have finally moved to 7th position in the table.
I could not watch the match but after seeing the score I feel good for RCB. They can not lose anymore match to keep their chances alive and I hope they make it. The team is strong enough.

But here is a concern some of the key players from their squad is leaving the team soon. I am not sure how are they going to cope without them. Team like RR, SRH and CSK will suffer too.

It's hard to imagine
CSK without Du Plesis and Imran Tahir
SRH without Warner, Bairstow
RR without Butler, Stokes, Smith, Archer
RSB without Moin Ali, Steyn, Stoinies

Thoughts?

By the way, congratulations on your winning. :-)

Will KXIP win today or it will be another win for RCB? Pooran just hit 3 sixes in 4 balls. I thought they will not have enough score after losing 3 wickets but probably the match will be more interesting.

For those who wants to analysis the team's strength towards the end of the ipl and bet on winning horse. as you can see list of the following International players who are leaving ipl soon for world cup.

English, Oz, Proteas and Bangladeshi players will leave early ( Shakib can stay till the end and can miss training camp for world cup according to some reports, and he's the only Bangladeshi player here, I guess)

Afghan and Kiwis will play complete tournament.

Little doubt on Caribbean's players because their World cup squad announcement is due but chances are they will stay too.

Kings XI are off to a brilliant start but I feel they should slow down and not lose wickets before 100 runs. Rahul keeps running for a single even when there's no chance. Getting run out is the worse mistake and he needs to be there atleast for 4 more overs.

That was another 200+ from RCB thanks to AB, he seems back in form. Kohli is never dependable nowadays.
It would be an interesting chase by Punjab but a few mistakes would put them out of the race. RCB deserves this win.
Kohli smashed a century in the previous game. What are you talking about? Punjab have started off brilliantly and they can easily chase down the score at the rate at which they are going. Rahul and Mayank are piling on the 4s and 6s currently.

No one can be more dependable than Virat Kohli, but then you can't expect him to perform in every match. I would say that right now RCB is having an advantage against the KXIP, after they got Gayle out early. But I am not very certain, as I regard the RCB bowling as probably the weakest for any team in this season of the IPL.

Doesn't look like the score would reach 200. Patel should have stayed till he gets his 50 but alas. With Dale gone, hoping Kings could win the match. RCB are just losing wickets back to back and so I would guess 150-160 all out which would be easy to chase down.

The last recognized batting pair at the crease (AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis). They must stay till the end of the innings, for RCB to have any chances of a victory. If one more wicket falls, the tail will start with Washington Sundar. And unfortunately for RCB, all five of their bowlers are real tailenders without much batting capabilities.

I picked RCB too and I hope that they don't disappoint especially considering its a knockout game for them. I saw Kohli breathe a sigh of relief when they survived the Dhoni massacre which felt good to watch.

Gayle vs Chahal would be even more interesting.
I hope they do.

I am interested to see Gayle vs Steyn  because if I am not wrong then Steyn will open the bowling and Gayle will strike the first ball. So it will be interesting for me to see who takes the psychological advantage first. Gayle or Steyn?

Playing Steyn is always a pressure as much as bowling against Gayle :-)

Today Dale Steyn is not playing due to injury , which makes bowling weak for RCB , so i think they have to post above 200+ so that they can defend it if not KXIP have players who can chase high score easily. So today 50 50 chances are for both team.

In their last match Dale Steyn was in his good form and RCB looked positive although the game was very close and it was almost taken away by Dhoni. I think RCB will show some magic although I hardly believe that they will make it to the next round.

Gayle vs Steyn will be interesting to see.

My pick for today is RCB. I hope Kohli, AB de Villiers and Steyn perform.

RCB has the momentum in their favor. The addition of Dale Steyn was a huge boost for them and now their bowling lineup looks much stronger. Yuzvendra Chahal is also in good form. But Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini are proving to be extremely inconsistent. If they want to beat KXIP, then they should find a way to tackle Gayle early in the innings. May be Steyn can get him this time.

CSK has only 3 matches left and have won 8 matches but their run rate is below MI and even Delhi so if Mumbai manage to win all 4 matches, they may reach top 2. I want Kings XI to reach top 4 but their next matches are all going to be tough. Looking forward to today's match with RCB. RCB now are like wounded lions fighting till the end.

Finally Watson proved why he needs to be on team,he can take the team to win by single handed like what happened yesterday's match.
Single match can't determine anything. He is excluded from the world cup squad because Australia already has 3 better openers than Watson, however, he is an all rounder though.

Guys, Watson is retired cricketer and already took his retirement from International cricket in 2016

1. Last test against England back in 2015
2. Last ODI match against England 2016
3. Last 20-20 match against India in 2016

International players not going to play long enough for their respective franchise. specially those who are part of world cup team for their respective team. only caribbean and Afganistan players playing till the end in Ipl if I remember correctly.

So Winning the Ipl trophy will depend on performance of Indian players.

FYI Shane Watson already retired from international cricket. Smiley

He is only playing domestic T20 tournament all around the world,he came to IPL 2019 after most run scorer of Big bash league 2019.
My bad.
I was really not aware of this. I can't remember if I have ever heard of this. Thank you anyway. He would play some more days. He is still fit for cricket.

SRH still needs to keep winning if they wish to qualify.
I noticed this with SRH last year: They start good then in the middle they lose track. Once things become very tight for them to qualify for the next round then they again starts to win LOL

SRH is my 2nd favorite team and I hope they starts winning in a row from the next matches :-)
I agree. My favorites ordered from top to bottom:

- SRH
- KKR
- CSK

I strongly believe one of these teams will lift the cup this year. Hoping SRH will be the team to do it.
