Delhi captial moved to 3rd place of the table after beating Punjab last night. Two fifty from Dhawan and Iyer made it easy for Delhi to reach the target of 164 runs.
SRH will play against KKR today, this is a big match for both team, to reach the play-off both teams need to win today.

The picture will be more clear after we know about the outcome of the two matches today (SRH vs KKR and RCB vs CSK). If CSK wins today's match against Kohli's boys, then they are through. On the other hand, RCB is out of the tournament even if they win all of their remaining matches. Both SRH and KKR are having 8 points. In order to have a realistic chance, they need to win at least 4 out of their remaining 6 matches (5 remaining for KKR).

Delhi need 48 runs from 39 balls, with 8 wickets remaining. M Ashwin and R Ashwin have one over each remaining. So the remaining overs need to be bowled by the pacers (Curran / Viljoen / Shami). As of this stage, the Delhi Capitals look almost certain to get 2 more points to their kitty. That will place them at the second spot, just below the CSK.
If this was like 65 runs from 39 balls then I would say that there was a chance for KXIP but only 10 runs difference is not enough as off now its 46 of 36 balls.

Delhi will have a comfortable win and again my pick is going to proven wrong LOL

EDIT: Pant out LOL
Delhi did win comfortably at the end even though they dragged it to the final over. They look set to qualify if they win a couple more games. The rebranding clearly helped and DC is on a roll here.

Also, I lost my bet. Ronnie predicted the perfect outcome.

Delhi won the match, but it went to the wire. I don't know why DC is having this habit of throwing away their matches... the slide started after Rishabh Pant got out to a rash shot. He just made the life of MSK Prasad so much more comfortable. Prasad was facing a lot of criticism after he went for Dinesh Karthik over Pant. But today Pant showed why he should not be selected for the WC squad.

164 target for Delhi Capitals. Totally achievable. That spectacular catch changed the game towards the side of Delhi, that was a bad omen for Gayle and Punjab and a good one for Delhi. Though defendable, with the last three of their match conceding over 170 runs, I would not bet for the Punjab bowlers.

Even though KKR has a very strong batting line up but couldn't manage to win the match but till the end, they are fighting to win the match. RCB kept a good score for the target both the Kohli and Mooen played their part to win the match. RCB should win every match in order to qualify.
The bowling lineup of KKR has under-performed through out the tournament. Prasidh, Kuldeep, Narine etc have are completely out of form bowling wise while their batsmen are at the reverse end of the spectrum.

I actually thought that they would be the 1st team to qualify for the playoffs this season.

One thing I have to say is that during this season most of the teams are very reluctant to make changes to their playing XI. Even if a player fails for 4 or 5 matches continuously, he is not being dropped. This is very discouraging, especially for the younger players. Talking about KKR, I think that players such as KC Cariappa, Sandeep Warrier, Rinku Singh and Shivam Mavi deserves a chance.
Not every team is following the same. Maybe KKR is doing that however, I think KKR don't need to make any change, their team is quite good now and making any change will not give any better result.
I disagree. KKR have lost 4/4 matches now and everyone blames their poor bowling since they have been batting excellently so far. Their primary bowler(Narine) himself has been out of form which is why changes are necessary currently.

Punjab have made 134/6 in 17 overs and 3 overs to go and Ashwin is the known batsman left and rest would be tail enders. So may be 155 approx Punjab would be looking to reach atleast run a ball from here.
They way Chris Gayle was hitting those 6s I thought the run will easy be 180+ but we see now the total for KXIP is 163

They had a good start but they could not continue the same run rate. 164 runs is not very hard target. We may see little struggle from DC but they should chase it comfortably.

No betting from me for today. Can not afford to lose more LOL

So finally RR got another win. I was backing MI LOL

Again in this week I am picking wrong team. Good thing that I did not bet. If my legacy continues then I think KXIP will lose (Actually my pick is KXIP :-P )

I think this time your pick is good as right now KXIP  is playing very well and if they continue the same then the score will be above 180+ and their winning chances are more if they bowl good tight bowling in first six overs. Both team standing are same won 5 and lost 4 game.

Not just KKR. Look at RCB. Apart from Kohli, almost all the other batsmen have performed less than their expectations. Even then, RCB hasn't given any chance for the rookie players. And the less told about their bowling, that better. Bowlers such as Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav have failed again and again so far this season.

I don't know what Uthappa was thinking when he was out there at the crease. 9 runs out of 20 would be recognized as a poor display even in 50-over matches. And this was a T20 match, with a target of 214 runs. In the end even Russell could not save the KKR. They had plenty of wickets in hand, but fell short by 10 runs. Yes... just 10 runs.

Hey Uthappa has been out of form since the last few matches and I was surprised he made it to the playing 11, I feel KKR should drop him and select someone else. While KKR batsmen played really well it was their bowlers, and their sloppy fielding which let them down in the end. I feel KKR would have win this type of match on any other day, but RCB had lot of luck going their way and ultimately they got the victory.
Luck? Seriously? Didn't you see their batting performance earlier? Kohli freaking scored a century and Ali blew the opposition away although their bowling leaves a lot to be desired. Their performance saved them(Not luck).

KKR are in a bad position currently after a string of defeats.

If you see the last year performance of RCB then you will see same way at start they lost lot of matches and then won all matches and qualified for quarter final, so they are trying to do this year also same way. Even if they dont qualify they will try to destroy the chances of other teams to qualify by winning against them.

KKR are good team but they are not able to perform properly for last some match , but i know that in the end they will qualify for the quarterfinal surely.

No one becomes a loser by choice. And it's not a surprising thing that Virat Kohli performed well in a match. Virat Kohli is indeed a good player. But it's surprising how poor has the RCB performed under his captaincy. It's nearly impossible for RCB now to qualify for playoffs and is highly unlikely to happen.

Second win for RCB though I think It's all over for the team.KKR showed fighting sprit to the last.Russel was extraordinary as always, But we should appreciate kohli, he is performing well and since World cup is near so these innings will give him more experience and spirit.KKR should be worried now Because getting the ticket of play off is now more difficult for them.
