It is quite nice to be here and I have learned a lot here. So, yes I will also say that it isn't just a forum, it is the best place to learn about Forex Trading.
Bitcointalk forum is the largest and most active crypto community. There is no better forum to learn about Bitcoin and other crypto. There are many members who have gone a long way in gaining knowledge after joining here. Here are all the things a person needs to know. So I think Bitcointalk forum is school for someone, cinema hall for someone, play ground for someone and coffee shop for someone.
We believe there are many places available online where you can learn different genres of specific topics whether they are limited to those topics or cover almost everything. We see Bitcointalk as a catalyst where debates spark regarding Bitcoins and anything related to crypto and a lot of knowledgeable people here share the best of their knowledge to the information hungry.
It's a public history book. It's where a two trillion (=market cap of all of crypto now) economy began, which only stands to become bigger. It is the source of one of the greatest mysteries of our time - who was Satoshi Nakamoto? And plenty of other mysteries. It is a place of knowledge, learning, money making, scams even since near its beginning, and finally technical development.
We all have different opinions on how we see bitcointalk. I could say that bitcointalk is like a school where I can read and learn about cryptocurrency. I could also say that bitcointalk is like a market where you can buy crypto funds from other forum users or items use for crypto space like for mining bitcoin but we can't deny that the forum's goal is for discussions and exchanging ideas for learning and understanding.
An institution is a place where learning in characters also occur same as Bitcointalk forum too. Bitcointalk forum is able to accommodate different people with different characters. I'm so happy to be a member of this forum where I get knowledge for free which I don't pay for.
The good thing is, this forum has given tons of opportunities to people who are especially businessmen! Lots of discussion here towards price prediction, overall media news, and anything under the sun as long as it is within the scope of cryptocurrencies.
Although secondary in purpose, this forum has enabled tons of users to earn BTCs from participating into campaign signatures. I am pretty sure, the creation of this forum has made millionaires here in the forum- but let us not forget the primary objective of this forum which is the one you just mentioned.
You are right that "Bitcointalk is more than a forum". There are various boards in bitcointalk like altcoin, gambling, politics, marketplace etc. Anyone who likes sports can take part in the respective discussion. Anyone who wants to know about Altcoin can find out about it from the Altcoin board. Thus Bitcointalk forum able to meet the needs of every human being. Bitcointalk forum is like a social media platform. Anyone can acquire knowledge from here as well as entertainment.
I would add that the forum is unique in that here you can communicate with people who were directly at the origins of bitcoin. There is a lot of genuine information that is always up-to-date. No need to surf the internet if you have any questions. There are always timely answers to exciting questions. It remains only to properly set up your time to take maximum knowledge from the forum.
Exactly this forum is great source of learning and the main point is you gain knowledge from the members who have been here for a long time and will provide updated and right information to you without any cost or personal bias.You simply search about bitcoin or any other topic you are interested in on YouTube you will see lot of crap videos promoting scam coins and sharing half knowledge of bitcoin which is harmful for you.But bitcointalk is open discussion forum where you can communicate with other members and exchange your knowledge.You see here is space for every crypto lover and you can communicate on every board you wish to do so.But prioritise this as discussion forum and place to learn from experts and become one with time.
Bitcointalk has really been more than a forum to me,it has broadened my knowledge about Crypto currency,sharpened my insights about trading,and I am ready to impart knowledge to those in this forum because that is one of the way I can help.

I have seen it more than once that forums can make money, and I am curious how to make money. I see people selling goods, but I don’t think the income is much. Other than that, I can't think of any way to make money.
Yes its only a part of privilege however its not the main goal why you are staying here in forum isnt it? Aside from selling goods, there are other ways, but I dont want you to take this as your priority here. The forum is great due to quality discussion and talks about bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. Try to learn the topics here and you should only focus on engaging on such topic rather than thinking of a way to have profits by making money here. Most of newbies are starting here just to earn but not to learn.

Wr are bit lucky that inside this forum there are some who guided us or helped us understand about our confusion on bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Its not only about the forum but the people surrounding this place makes us lesrned more. Thats what I thought at first, that forum is just a place for money earning ( big mistake) but I realize much more important than that few years back. Now Im good and happy to say that this forum is the best on some thst Ive tried on.

I think you should regularly review the part of the forum under market and services and you might come across some paid project that you can get involved in.
Seeling goods is just one possibility but also you can join some paid translation project or making a logo etc.
It is still too early for you to join the signature campaign given your forum rank but this may also be an option for you in the future.

yes I agree friend, because from 2017 I joined here and you know that I don't understand at all what cryptocurrency is and here I really learn and from bitcointalk this can help my life even though I stopped and didn't visit this bitcointalk for several years and finally I started again from scratch again to add knowledge in this bitcointalk for free

I have been on this forum for 7 years and I have made many friends here, and I met some of them in real life.
Because of that I can really say that this forum is very special for me and I really enjoy talking and sharing information with dear friends.
Of course, this forum is special because it is the first and oldest and Satoshi also wrote here.
However, lately I have noticed a decline in the interest of younger members for this forum.

No, Bitcointalk is just a forum. A forum's purpose is to host discussions, and if you find them educating, that's great, it means the forum has served its purpose. But don't think that the forum is some sort of academy that has obligation to teach you, and you have obligation to learn. In fact this is a very common misonception, I see a lot of newbies creating threads to sing praises to this forum and how it helps them learn about Bitcoin, but there are no hard rules on this forum that you must study Bitcoin. You can spend all your time in offtopic board, or discuss politics, or speculate about the price. There's no "bitcoin knowledge exams", no grades, no teachers.
I understand your points, i know Bitcointalk is a forum that was created mainly discussion. To me I see it more than a forum because of what I have gained and I know what how what have gained will help me in life ~
I usually see the forum as a whole Discord server and each boards are the channels. You'll have a pretty relaxing conversation with people. You choose where you wanted to discuss something about as long as it is in relevant board/channel. 
Everything I learnt about crypto and mining is from bitcointalk, there are many things I can't do with mining years ago and I'm an expert in those areas today thanks to this forum, when people ask me what bitcointalk is all about my response is ' it's everything crypto', more grace to bitcointalk admins, the Lord is their strength
