May Bitcoin be touched by his Noodly Appendage
August 19, 2014, 06:34:57 PM
Well I'm not going to tell people to download some file from a random file hosting service
I'll try to find the official old version
Thanks for your help!

It's okay. I understand what you are saying, anyway I gave the link because it was uploaded by a trusted person when I requested. It isn't harmful. If you want, I will upload .oex file to google drive. Here is the official Github page for older Violent Monkey extension : https://github.com/gera2ld/Violentmonkey-oex/wiki ( Remove ' -oex ' from url to go to latest version's page.
You are welcome! Smiley

Kindly,
        MZ
Don't get me wrong, I will try it myself because it's just an extension anyway, but I don't want to make other people do it

Edit: I just tried it and the script doesn't work. I'll stick with the Firefox Mobile addon for now I think

Edit2: FYI I'm coming back from vacation this weekend. BT++ development should continue after that.

ViolentMonkey (1.6.3) is broken for me on Opera Mobile Labs+ext
Does it work for you Muhammed?

No. Sad You will need to install 1.5.1.1 . Smiley Here is the link : https://app.box.com/s/m4m343fdo38kns9jfihf . I hope this works.

All the instructions for installation are in the first post of this thread
Tell me if anything's not clear

Instead of Tampermonkey android, insert Opera Mobile Labs build with extensions for Android as it is easier and have better UI.

Instructions:
1) Download Opera Mobile Labs build with extensions for Android and install it.

2) Download > copy the file to sdcard > in URL bar(Opera), navigate to violent-monkey-1.5.1.1-1.oex using file://sdcard/violent-monkey-1.5.1.1-1.oex( If copied it into another location, please change it) and press return.

NOTE : Violent Monkey (1.6.3)[latest - Android] is broken on Opera Mobile Labs+ext . Don't install it.

3)Download 'BT++ script' and copy it into sdcard and install it like you installed violent monkey extension.

I have been using this forum for a bit, but this is the first time I have seen this thread and extension...are a lot of you guys using this?   It looks really cool, and would like to try it out...
I use it, but I don't think that a lot of people use it actively. And even though people don't really use it, it's still great to have Grin

Ok thanks...the only reason I ask is because I am not great at computer type stuff, so I didn't want to just install it and then mess something up that I can't figure out how to undo...
No worries man. Me (and others) can help you out if something goes wrong or if you require assistance.

Great, thank you, I really appreciate it!  Grin

Great thanks

Sorry. Found a post recently :

When will the software be finished?

About one year from now.

Last time I checked around 40 people ever used the script and a dozen are actively using it
Anyway, you can't break anything while installing it and removing it is easy
And as bitcoininformation told you, several people including me of course are able to help you during the (simple) process

I'll work on current bugs after August 18th
Keep sending them
Glad to hear that you are still around Grin
Will be looking forward to the new features (if you have planned any).
Of course I'm still around, my July departure was perfectly planned Smiley
I don't have specific features in mind, I'll first fix bugs

Can you change the theme of forum? Atleast an option to change color?
What you can do is adding a CSS you designed yourself
If you're comfortable with CSS you just have to host the CSS file anywhere and put the URL in the correct field in the BT++ settings page.
If you're not then it's far less convenient. I guess I could create an easy editor with few options but as the new forum software is coming that would be quickly useless.

By the way is there any ETA for the new software?
