Sent chips for Saturday and Sunday so please send me the passwords when you have a chance.

It is great that SwC is giving their best to reward us for playing, if we make this a year-long thing it will be good for everybody involved.

I'm really liking the format so far, the only thing left to do is to actually play a decent game of poker Grin

Some side note: SwC are very happy that so many of us are taking part in the series and they will throw in some additional prize(s) for the winner(s) - not going to disclose what, it´s a surprise!  Wink
Wow, I didn't see that coming. This is really great and I am curious what the prices are. Thanks to SwC for supporting the tournament this way.  Smiley

Joining the server & actively participating is now mandatory in order to join future bitcointalk poker tournaments!
Ooooohhhh... I got a shock the first moment I read the post, but luckily it was just a joke.  Cheesy

ANNOUNCEMENT - ANNOUNCEMENT - ANNOUNCEMENT - ANNOUNCEMENT

I have just created a discord Bitcointalk Poker Community Server: https://discord.gg/Ket9W4

Joining the server & actively participating is now mandatory in order to join future bitcointalk poker tournaments!

... Well, okay, of course it´s not.  Wink Still, I would be very happy to see many of you join the server. We can use that communication channel for all our chit chat & possibly even for constructive things such as password distribution when the time is running out etc. Wink
Well, I guess I called for this on the past even a telegram group might be good for easiness of conversation between players and now it comes to reality. Thanks for this @efialtis I'll download discord mobile application later on.

Good to see SwC is trying to hype the fun with some additional prizes. I'm guessing another prize increase.

I stand with Ukraine.
Little off topic but messed around and won an event in the quarantine series tonight.

Wow! You never fail to amaze me. Your gambling skills are amazing.
But beware, I am training under Daniel Negreanu. Be ready to lose next week.  Cheesy

Wow! Our championship is getting more and more interesting. I'm a big fan of Negreanu, and I watched many of his games. And I know that he teaches poker, so playing with one of his students is kind of a dream for me.

And why I'm so eager to play with one of his students, in particular, is that I want to test his style at the present time. No offense, but I find his style to be rather outdated, in the sense that it's too aggressive compared to what is "in" among the top poker players currently.

But that's me, I may be wrong.

See you at the tables! Good Luck! Smiley

Anyone want to get a discord setup? It would be easier to distribute passwords this way and get more runners. Can I get the pass for the 11th and 12th?

Passwords sent Smiley

I am personally not much of a discord user to be honest - still, a bitcointalk poker channel might really be a cool idea. I will check this out tonight and post an update guys! Smiley

i should be there this weekend. i'll be shipping @efialtis my buy-ins soon.

So, basically, people with avatars are the people that play poker for a living. Well, that's also nice to know going forward Grin

i don't think anyone can make a living playing on SwC---not enough action. but they are regulars, yeah. Smiley

Some guys like to late reg the last minute and save 1-1.5 hours of playing but I was in from the beginning.

late regging is definitely a handicap, especially since starting stacks aren't very big and blind structure is being sped up. anyone who wants to take it down should be sitting when the first hand is dealt. Smiley

Congrats yahoo.

I have been rocking those cash games and I like it. Need to practise! Cheesy 998 Krill for me by now btw Wink
Yesterday I had under 1 Krill and today I have 86+ krill so far. I have lost 2k chips just half an hour ago but still in profit. I feel that I am improving a lot. Thanks to this tournament.

Anyone up to join in this table: https://play.swcpoker.eu/?tableId=40571614
Been there just hours ago and I just barely win around 115 chips not bad I guess that will be good to pay the fee for the tourney this coming weekend. I see you've earned there on the table I was watching and sit out seems a good strategy to win small rather than putting some greediness. I do really think you're improving just keep it up.

Just take it a bit slower. If your objective is to earn 1 krill you can accomplish it with very small stakes as well. Just put half an hour of normal playing time where you participate in few hands and you will have much more than 1 krill. I got around 50 of them by playing few times for like half an hour.

If you're taking it a bit slower with 2 pairs after the flop with no real risk of someone holding a straight or waiting for a flush, then you're not really playing poker. I don't mind the loss, it happens - and I got that krill after all. I just wanted to fume about it because it just isn't stopping Grin

I didn't refer to exact hands. My statement was more general in a way to just play your game and that 1 krill will come really fast.
I never comment on exact hands if I wasn't sitting on that table since I didn't have opportunity to judge the oposing players and don't know their style of play. I rarely play the cards, I usually try to play the players if that has any sense. Cards are just a bonus if your luck holds.
all just according to a personal assessment of the game, if you don't like playing cards it is quite the opposite of me p [rationally because I am more fond of card games because I feel very relaxed when I play cards

Seems it's a lesson for you and always remember what objective you're trying to obtain. Be patient and look always for some higher card to play seems those  aren't higher cards you're holding if you recognize the flop same goes for the turn at least you've waited for the river.

Nope, they were great - almost the best ones you could get. Not weak, the opposite. It was a great hand and I thought I had a guy trapped who had a single J (or worse) in hand.
It is not a problem in itself - one game like this is totally fine. The problem is it's been happening to me across all tournaments recently and I've played a fair amount of poker to know how to differentiate between myself playing a bad call or just being insanely unlucky for a prolonged period of time.

People with avatars don't necessarily play for a living, they have just played alot of raked hands. Many users on the site have avatars that are terrible players.

Yup, it was more of a joke from my side. Something like 'look, a guy with over x games is on the table'. Still, like in everything, practice makes you better. Even if they are still bad, imagine how they were before these 1000 hands or so.
Congrats on the win BTW, it is a nice one Smiley

I went to play a few hands just to get that 1 krill.

It's killing me, really. Nothing is going my way for weeks.

How long did the tournament last? I would love to enter some of those but don't feel like sitting down for anything longer than 2 hours and I think most of tournaments go way beyond that time mark.
5.5 hours almost exactly. Some guys like to late reg the last minute and save 1-1.5 hours of playing but I was in from the beginning.

I'll play a few to get that 1 krill so I can at least chat, it's more fun. I saw some trashtalking, almost felt like a real live game of poker. As close to the real thing we can get these days.

Sending the chips for this weekend in a day or 2, just waiting for confirmation I'll be at home. It's Easter so don't know where lunch is at.
