During the last two days strangely I did made more points than anyone else here or at least this is my impression, now being only 10th with being only less than 700 points behind to first place. I achieved this by finding exact number of goals, and exact goal difference of the team that would win, for example I had Senegal vs Columbia 1-2 but it ended 0-1, meaning exact goal difference and getting 94 points from this game only. I only hope I continue to go this way but in the evening games I don't have much faith as have both 1-1 as result.

I just saw the highlights of the Japan game where they just wasted time in fear of getting more yellow cards. That was bizarre wasn't it? I'm so gutted that my underdogs Senegal got sent home when Japan was playing real negative football on the chance that Senegal wouldn't equalize.

Whatever, I still enjoyed the Columbia, and Senegal game. I guess I got to support England against Belgium 

Hmmm...  Matches' scorelines at full time are getting weirder and weirder...  I feel like it's my final day being first in the betting pool.  It was nice while it lasted.  Thank you ladies and gentlemen, it was nice playng with you.

I played much the same. Only difference is that I think Japan will not lose today but I am also expecting a high scoring game in that one.
I also agree that there is much more value in Tunisia to win than in Colombia to win. Senegal has been playing quite well I watched them against Croatia in friendly and partly in the WC and they will  be tough nut to crack.

I will probably bet on England - Belgium after the line ups has been made public (1 hour before the game). I have a feeling we will see a game where both teams will try to end 2nd today. Winner of this group will have to play vs Brazil in 1/4 finals probably while all other teams are looking much weaker on the paper. Therefore, there could be some good odds to exploit.

Yes, I see England in form as I saw it after a terrific win against Panama with a win of 6-1 and this team has the potential to win and can give tough time to other teams in the next matches. I also like Nigeria the way they won the previous match in spirit with entertainment. They way they enjoy the game and we were also entertaining with their celebrations. Hope for tough matches today.

today I have Colombia to win X1.90 (1.5 units )
first game Colombia was really bad but that's due the game situation and how the red card played a role part , the 2nd game we saw the potential of Colombia
Senegal isn't that easy to beat but I'm going for Colombia assuming they will play real football like the way they did in their last match

Japan vs Poland : both teams to score X1.83 and Poland to score over 1.5 goals ( 1 unit each )
this game should be interesting since Poland is guaranteed out but we saw how the teams that are officially out played their best in their last game just like South Korea yesterday
Japan should be playing for the win and guess Japan can snap a goal or two , I feel like Poland will win 2-1 or 3-1 even with their bad performance but still believe the European football is still way ahead of Asian football

Tunisia to win X1.99 (1.5 units )
this is a fun bet and I backed during Panama's last game where they were losing heavily by England , the odds dropped a lot after the game finished and now it's around X1.85 so I was able to get amazing value and that's why I won't be sad if this bet lost since I was faster than the market
Tunisia was able to score against England and Belgium , so scoring on Panama shouldn't be hard for them and we saw how Panama is tending to receive a lot of goals and scoring only one goal so I guess there is huge value in taking Tunisia for win ( I like this bet more than Colombia to win )

Finally we have reached the last day of the group stage in this world cup tournament, I am most interested in the match between Japan vs Poland, as Japan remains the only Asia team that are still able to progress to the round of 16, and Poland will be eliminated from the tournament regardless of this match result, so I expect Japan to be the team to attack more aggressively from the start of this match.

Well I booked the wrong games to get the draw result, and the wrong underdog to win. Who would have though the team with the worst odds of winning last night would be the one to win? Seems like there's still a lot of juice in these poor teams, even with nothing but pride left to play for. My Germany to win the WC bet's also lost now (thought I was "smart" betting when their odds dropped after their first loss).

I backed Syria all the way during qualification... with all that's happened to football in that country, all the footballers who lost their lives. The way they had to travel and get ping ponged all around with their team. They are definitely better than some other teams currently in the group stages, to me. But at least it looks like those won't be progressing at all.

Brazil played a good football and Serbia has not the quality and capability to hold a team like Brazil. My tip of the day won in my thread and also got correct result from Brazil game. Damn that Swiss game, had 1-1 final result they ended 2-2 which should still bring me some points because getting a draw gets you more points than guessing which team will win. As for Croatia they will have an easy game against Denmark and will pass the game.

Well I would certainly like Croatia to win  Our biggest problem is mentality, I think we would play much better game against France than against Denmark. Now it will already be like we will win easily but Denmark is very good defensively. I really like what our coach Dalic is doing so I hope he can keep the players on the ground. The only way to win in WC is if all your players play close to their maximum performance. Otherwise it is easy to get destroyed by weaker opponent as we all saw what happened to Germany today.

I am quite sure if Germany played with players only under 23 years old they would have won easily today. They have so much potential in younger categories that I believe they will be very good on next Euro.

Well I had had them to win the entire damn thing haha. That's me screwed. At least I got some points from getting the correct number of goals in the Sweden game.


They played very average throughout, and if it wasn't for the last injury time goal in the second match they would have been out already. None of the big teams have impressed me much at all, but hopefully the games will start hotting up now. Since Germany are out I'd like to see either Belgium, Croatia or Columbia win it. England will get destroyed if they have to play Colombia.

Former world cup champions Germany early exit of this world cup tournament have caused me to mess up my brackets prediction, I wonder if there is anyone who had bet on South Korea to win in their match against Germany, as the odds payout on South Korea to win in the 1x2 betting option is super high.

I got them too. The funny thing is I predicted this game will go to 2-0 in favor of Germany which exactly the opposite has happened. But seeing how the much go, I didn't feel like Germany has the spirit to win the game even on the first half compared to South Korea who have given there best all through out the table. Well I am now sitting in the 19th even though I completely messed up my Mexico v. Sweden as well.

I'm so sad now that Syria didn't qulaify for world cup cause South Korea took the 2nd place in qualification and qualified instead of Syria even in the games between Syria and South Korea the referee did many mistakes and that's how South Korea took the points from Syria

now looking how the big teams are playing I'm certain Syria would had been a black horse if we qualified , especially Syria has the best front line in Asia ( Omar Khribin , Omar Alsouma and Firas AlKhatib )

Die Mannschaft getting KO'd so early in the tournament completely fucks up my bracket challenge predictions. I had Germany all the way up to the semi-finals :S

About the team, they didn't deserve to advance to the RO16, they were absolutely awful in the group stages, the overall performance was just really poor. Well, one big team' down, one to go...Brazil  

Good bye Germany, first of the big teams to be out since group stage. Funny thing, when watching yesterday game I thought Argentina to be out but today I see they play against France and Germany out. If both Portugal and Argentina qualifies we see Cristiano vs Messi in the next game. I think both teams will qualify.

Nice bets up there today, SyG. I'm still below top 10 in the leaderboard, I couldn't even get a draw result to get me full points. Lost terribly on betting yesterday but hasn't dampened my spirits (that) much.

I'm going for much simpler rationale for my bets: Sweden and Mexico I know next to nothing of them, other than previous sightings. I won't watch this match but I'm predicting Chicarito to score late on to cancel out an early Swedish lead, or otherwise get themselves on a snorefest scoreless draw. A draw @3.45, and I will keep betting on a draw, with increasing amounts until I "hit". Sportsbook martingale?

Germany vs South Korea , BTTS X2.14 ( 1 unit ) :
Germany needs to win this match so I guess there is no doubt about them scoring , South Korea will probably score as well
we saw how Germany suffered against counter attacks in the last 2 games where they took 2 goals and South Korea players are really fast and good with counter attacks so guess there is a good chance for them to score
anyways we have seen many penalties in world cup so also there is a good chance they may get a penalty

Brazil needs the win today , I believe today we will see better Brazil than what we saw in the last two games just like Argentina yesterday
a win is a must , but hopefully it will be 2 goals or more win to cover the handicap

Mexico vs Sweden Over 2.5 goals X2.27 ( 1 unit ) :
in this match I believe there should be at least 2 goals , and looking at the odds I don't mind getting over 2.5 goals since the odds are better than a coin flip
most of of the previous matches had over 2.5 goals , and as I said this world cup is having a lot of penalties so taking the over is good for me 

The performance of Croatia is really outstanding in this world cup tournament, I didn't expect them to be able to win all 3 matches in the group stage before the start of the tournament, I guess Denmark will surely have a hard time facing against Croatia in the round of 16.

I had Croatia correct score 2-1 , well done to Zlatko Dalic and co for finishing with 9 points the group and I think it is the only team who has achieved it together with Uruguay so far in the World Cup.
